@@Sadakorka Well, it doesn't always happen. Sometimes, he just decides to annoy me for no reason by just not giving me something I was using to do something. I always try to not use a lot of force, but when I have to try really hard to get something back, he just decides "fuck it, I'll use my unreasonably long fingernails to stab you", and then I either have a mark on my arm for a few hours to a couple days, or I start bleeding a bit. It always ends up like that, since I start out using too little force, and then end up overpowering him, which makes him do what he always does.

Smaller UA-camrs like myself and PomerarianPrince called him out, but yeah, no one big was willing to say anything (though Nos Hyena did signal boost my Kero video). Finally seeing a larger UA-camr with principles is like being parched and then finally taking a cold, refreshing sip of Sprite.
skep I don’t think Angelo meant it literally - there’s a lot of people who don’t really like this guy (pkrussl) and he mentioned that multiple times. I’m guessing he was referring to most larger creators, who tend to hesitate to call people out even though their voice is needed the most because they have the largest platform / the most reach and can inform more people than smaller creators can, who have to rely more on the algorithm & word of mouth. I don’t think he was trying to disregard smaller creators who made videos at all. :)
Pk did a positive review of one of my memes and i was pretty proud of that but like. As happy as I was, his vibes were rancid so thats the only video of his i could stomach. I really can't stand his harassment of animators, if your review causes people to feel bad about their work for no valid reason then you are a horrible person

Creator of the 'Karma' meme here (I changed my username ages ago.)- but quite honestly, this guy was really one of the few reasons why I haven't been doing animation memes so often anymore. I've seen his videos and they're really... wow. He's REALLY someone I can't comprehend. His "critiques" on animation memes are really nothing more than just vehement attacks disguised as "advice" that you should take. This is why I strongly despise "cringe culture" and all that nonsense, because it's lead me to privating/unlisting a bunch of my works out of intense fear; even made me stop animating for a while and focus more on illustration. I'm sure this has had similar effects on many other aspiring animators. Only recently have I decided to come back and post a new animation after being busy and reluctant for so long. I want to also add: If you're going to critique, you better make sure you point out not JUST all the negatives, but even positives as well; on top of that, please also offer LEGITIMATE advice on how the person can possibly improve. Going off on somebody's content and tearing it down with insults/crying over it is NOT critiquing. You're now just being a complete jerk. I've found a few of my videos in cringe comps that offered... literally no ounce of help, and they just exist to embarrass people. Completely unacceptable. Animation memes really aren't even that deep. Most of them really aren't. (And if someone wants to have it be deep then so let them, but) They're just quick clips made for fun, and even if they may be repetitive, it does help for practice. I'm no professional animator myself, but I have gotten better admittedly in some of my skills over time through memes, and I think that's something that I'm at least proud of. But either way, nobody should ever have to feel restricted on what content they create because of other's say-let alone the words coming out from Pkrussl himself. Yeesh. EDIT: I also wanted to quickly add, after noticing this comment is actually blowing up ;-; But I've noticed in the past (probably even up to now) that some people don't really seem to realize that even just simple looped animations take out so much time and energy. Again, I'm no professional, but I understand how long it actually takes to just make a simple looped animation. I've seen twitter threads of animators, with levels more of experience than I do, agree on this. Yes, you don't necessarily need to have actual experience in animation to give a bit of criticism when asked for it-but unless you've actually tried any kind of animation and know useful information, then you really don't have the right to come after our work and tell us what to do/where to go with it.
Heck yes! I completely agree with you. I used to make the most cringey content (even though it wasn't that long ago) I have improved so much. I try to avoid watching these types of videos in fear I'm in one. Those people making the Cringe Comps. Are the reason I quit trying to show how I improve every month. People improve and Animations are just a way to have fun and express your emotion!

I remember he did something about GinjaNinja, saying she was overrated. His proof was showing this one animation meme she did that yes was not the greatest in terms of quality. But the thing is, it was a kinda older video and she had a bunch of newer and more quality animations. But his reasoning for showing that SPECIFIC one was because everything else had copyrighted music, when the very simple solution would be just to mute the video, but it looked like it wouldn’t fit his narrative.
PK is extremely biased, I had to leave the dicsord after one of his members was put down for pointing out the misinformation he was spreading. Kids on Instagram got harassed because of the misleading information he spread.

I hate when he's like "oh what's the point of this animation meme it's not even good" but like, the point is about practice, fun, good music, feels, etc. He's not the judge of that. He has no idea what he is saying.
He says the animation isn't good, because most of the time the only animation is head bobbing or repeating small animations over and over until the video is done. Sure its about other things but he's reviewing them for how much animation it has, there's nothing wrong with that. I personally like my animation memes with more animation than just head bobbing and repeat scenes, but hey that's just my opinion.

Pkrussl didn’t even understand animation memes in the first place, you don’t have to tell an intricate story, or animation at 24 frames a second for it to be good, it’s mainly for 1. Practice at simple animation, it can be done very quickly and can be used as filler posts between longer animations 2. For fun, it’s fun 3. I was admittedly, a HUGE PKrussl fan. But also at the time I was probably 18, getting into serious art degrees, passion projects and self artistic identity. Seeing a man with ambition "call out" bullies and him being an underdog, I thought he was what the art/animation community needed. "If you put your art out there critiques will come like it or not, the internet is no mans land" I was so obsessed with his "im just honest" like he was some underdog savior for KIDS. KIDS who didn't need critiques they needed respect and kindness and probably learned how to spell critiques amongst the internet. Kids who were starting out. You need motivation and guidance. You need forgiveness in a really harsh placement and platform of the internet. Kids thought this man was "just so right god you hang out with the popular ones who have better pieces than me, you know it, you know the truth and all that is right and good and artistic talent, after all look at the enviroment you ABSORB" but thats all he ever does. Is absorb and critique. He doesn't draw. He doesn't animate. we could go in this huge shpiel of kids being on the internet, where the belong, why even with them, etc. But the reality is PKrussl made a choice. And we could all go "yeah that art SURE was bad" the matter of fact is he manipulated me, others, his viewers, fans, and audience, to believe his underdog statements were needed or true, not because he had anything to do with art. The dude edits youtube videos and knows what good art *looks* like but cant draw it. Or refuses to. and he doesn't. He doesn't have a degree, he doesnt practice the techniques or pipeline of being an animator, being an artist, using software to publishing for a like minded community. if you do this, fine. but in doing this but I promise you, as someone with a degree, there is an ACTUAL art form to critiquing. It isn't just an opinion that PKrussl has a right to share. A critique, in itself, is an art form. It can shape a kid, a learning individual and recreate the creator. I loved PKrussl content bc not only did he get attacked and I wanted to be on a winning team, an underdog savior who thought bringing these kids to the limelight was healthy bc "look how much now they will improve bc somone with a voice cares!" when in reality you can care, *too much*, and for all the wrong reasons. Im not saying PKrussl's entire youtube videography is pointless, if you have good intentions it will show. If you love what you do, do it. But the matter of fact is He had the voice of a leader, and used it to make sure he never felt loss, which is what alot of onision does. just constant "but this and that and you said this" like just admit you can change, from the worse. its shameful. And while you don’t have to be an artist to do it you have to wonder, why would someone make their career as an art critic if they aren’t even hobby artists or art collectors. I was in the animation meme community when I was about 10-11 in 2018, when he blew up in the community, I didn't really watch him at first bc he made me feel uncomfy for some reason, but I will always remember the one [animator] he reviews, this person spent MONTHS, on this animation and was posting their progress on Tumblr along the way. when the animation meme finally came out they were really proud of it but their friends at the time sent the video to pk for him to review. eventually, he did, in the video, he teamed up with an older creator in the community and was basically laughing and taking the piss out of the animation. keep in mind the animator at the time was 13 and was being mocked on the internet by adults for not producing Disney like animations.

Pkrussel can’t even criticize, this is really shown in most of his gacha videos (I’m pretty sure he’s just trying to milk the shit out of the gacha fan base at this point) in one of his first videos on gacha he was “Criticizing” animation memes by just showing a few seconds of the video then saying the view count with a zoom in on either his face or the view count, if you want to stick to underrated commentators who have done at least 1 video on gacha, stick to people like Dumbsville, Spoctor, Solar sands or GalaxyIsOk. Because they can actually criticize communities and respond to criticism

I remember stumbling across this guy, he made a video I think, criticizing a Multi Animator Project, and didn’t get the concept at all. He literally didn’t know what a MAP was, he doesn’t know shit about animation, bet he doesn’t even know what FPS is. It was so odd to see someone criticizing a field and art form that they so clearly didn’t understand.

Pkrussl doesn't criticize animators, he just downright roasts them and downsizes them to an extent where they feel uncomfortable and unsatisfied with their animations. Thing is, animation memes aren't supposed to make sense. They're just animations for fun or just to test improvement. Animators do improve over time, and its really cool to see. All animators out there, don't get downgraded for your work. Feel proud about your masterpiece :)

Yeah, it's been a while since I checked on him, and I thought "one of the worst cannot possibly be fair, considering what's on the platform" then got to that part x_x
parker constantly makes excuses every time someone comments on his actions. even if the person speaks in a soft, asmr friendly voice, and gently explains to him the reasons why his 'facts' (which are really just his opinions in a trenchcoat) are flawed. i don't like using the term 'playing the victim', especially because it's being used to crucify people who really are suffering and saying that they are suffering, but parker acts like he's the one being wronged whenever he covers commentaries that are done on him. i've watched a lot of the more notable commentaries on his hazbin hotel videos (junkie, creepshowart, another guy with a jester theme going on that i wholeheartedly respect, etc), and they were all constructive, somewhat gentle, and supported their statements with clips from parker's own video (hell junkie did a commentary on the whole video and showed the timestamps of any part her skipped. it was damn near impossible to take things out of context because he showed almost the entire video). now he's saying that "oh they're misunderstanding me, and they're taking my video out of context". i respected pkrussel back when the spoctor drama happened, and i even watched one or two of his animation meme reviews back in the day. but now, i think he's declined as a content creator. he just throws fits whenever someone says something that doesn't agree with his points, and it's starting to get old. oh well, at least i get commentary to listen to while i'm drawing ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

As an artist (who has attempted and failed at animation) it kinda upsets me that someone who doesn’t have any knowledge of art was critiquing kids having fun through animation, which is incredibly difficult and taxing. If he was an animator himself critiquing and helping improve I wouldn’t have a single problem with that, but I just- 😐😐

And I was like "woah... this man is a saint, out there defending innocent till proven guilty, demanding evidence and context, never taking things at face value." It was thanks to him and Ponder Sprocket, my whole mentality changed and I went from being a kid who believed everything she saw, to an adult who assessed evidence given, and refused to take part unless I got the full story from both sides and was involved. I always try to not use a lot of force, but when I have to try really hard to get something back, he just decides "fuck it, I'll use my unreasonably long fingernails to stab you", and then I either have a mark on my arm for a few hours to a couple days, or I start bleeding a bit. Creator of the 'Karma' meme here (I changed my username ages ago.)- but quite honestly, this guy was really one of the few reasons why I haven't been doing animation memes so often anymore. I've seen his videos and they're really... wow. He's REALLY someone I can't comprehend.
His "critiques" on animation memes are really nothing more than just vehement attacks disguised as "advice" that you should take. This is why I strongly despise "cringe culture" and all that nonsense, because it's lead me to privating/unlisting a bunch of my works out of intense fear; even made me stop animating for a while and focus more on illustration. I'm sure this has had similar effects on many other aspiring animators. Only recently have I decided to come back and post a new animation after being busy and reluctant for so long.
I want to also add: If you're going to critique, you better make sure you point out not JUST all the negatives, but even positives as well; on top of that, please also offer LEGITIMATE advice on how the person can possibly improve. Going off on somebody's content and tearing it down with insults/crying over it is NOT critiquing. You're now just being a complete jerk. I've found a few of my videos in cringe comps that offered... literally no ounce of help, and they just exist to embarrass people. Completely unacceptable.
Animation memes really aren't even that deep. Most of them really aren't. (And if someone wants to have it be deep then so let them, but) They're just quick clips made for fun, and even if they may be repetitive, it does help for practice. I'm no professional animator myself, but I have gotten better admittedly in some of my skills over time through memes, and I think that's something that I'm at least proud of.
But either way, nobody should ever have to feel restricted on what content they create because of other's say-let alone the words coming out from Pkrussl himself. Yeesh.
EDIT: I also wanted to quickly add, after noticing this comment is actually blowing up ;-; But I've noticed in the past (probably even up to now) that some people don't really seem to realize that even just simple looped animations take out so much time and energy. Again, I'm no professional, but I understand how long it actually takes to just make a simple looped animation. I've seen twitter threads of animators, with levels more of experience than I do, agree on this. Yes, you don't necessarily need to have actual experience in animation to give a bit of criticism when asked for it-but unless you've actually tried any kind of animation and know useful information, then you really don't have the right to come after our work and tell us what to do/where to go with it.

I try to avoid watching these types of videos in fear I'm in one. Those people making the Cringe Comps. Are the reason I quit trying to show how I improve every month. I was admittedly, a HUGE PKrussl fan.
But also at the time I was probably 18, getting into serious art degrees, passion projects and self artistic identity. Seeing a man with ambition "call out" bullies and him being an underdog, I thought he was what the art/animation community needed. "If you put your art out there critiques will come like it or not, the internet is no mans land"
I was so obsessed with his "im just honest" like he was some underdog savior for KIDS. KIDS who didn't need critiques they needed respect and kindness and probably learned how to spell critiques amongst the internet. Kids who were starting out. You need motivation and guidance. You need forgiveness in a really harsh placement and platform of the internet. Kids thought this man was "just so right god you hang out with the popular ones who have better pieces than me, you know it, you know the truth and all that is right and good and artistic talent, after all look at the enviroment you ABSORB"
but thats all he ever does. Is absorb and critique. He doesn't draw. He doesn't animate.
we could go in this huge shpiel of kids being on the internet, where the belong, why even with them, etc. But the reality is PKrussl made a choice. And we could all go "yeah that art SURE was bad" the matter of fact is he manipulated me, others, his viewers, fans, and audience, to believe his underdog statements were needed or true, not because he had anything to do with art.
The dude edits youtube videos and knows what good art *looks* like but cant draw it. Or refuses to.
and he doesn't. He doesn't have a degree, he doesnt practice the techniques or pipeline of being an animator, being an artist, using software to publishing for a like minded community.
if you do this, fine. but in doing this but I promise you, as someone with a degree, there is an ACTUAL art form to critiquing. It isn't just an opinion that PKrussl has a right to share. A critique, in itself, is an art form. It can shape a kid, a learning individual and recreate the creator.
I loved PKrussl content bc not only did he get attacked and I wanted to be on a winning team, an underdog savior who thought bringing these kids to the limelight was healthy bc "look how much now they will improve bc somone with a voice cares!"

And while you don’t have to be an artist to do it you have to wonder, why would someone make their career as an art critic if they aren’t even hobby artists or art collectors. He didn’t even make his fursona as far as I know and he doesn’t edit his videos half the time.

I was in the animation meme community when I was about 10-11 in 2018, when he blew up in the community, I didn't really watch him at first bc he made me feel uncomfy for some reason, but I will always remember the one [animator] he reviews, this person spent MONTHS, on this animation and was posting their progress on Tumblr along the way. when the animation meme finally came out they were really proud of it but their friends at the time sent the video to pk for him to review.
eventually, he did, in the video, he teamed up with an older creator in the community and was basically laughing and taking the piss out of the animation.
keep in mind the animator at the time was 13 and was being mocked on the internet by adults for not producing Disney like animations.

Pkrussel can’t even criticize, this is really shown in most of his gacha videos (I’m pretty sure he’s just trying to milk the shit out of the gacha fan base at this point) in one of his first videos on gacha he was “Criticizing” animation memes by just showing a few seconds of the video then saying the view count with a zoom in on either his face or the view count, if you want to stick to underrated commentators who have done at least 1 video on gacha, stick to people like Dumbsville, Spoctor, Solar sands or GalaxyIsOk. Because they can actually criticize communities and respond to criticism

Pkrussl doesn't criticize animators, he just downright roasts them and downsizes them to an extent where they feel uncomfortable and unsatisfied with their animations. Thing is, animation memes aren't supposed to make sense. They're just animations for fun or just to test improvement. Animators do improve over time, and its really cool to see. All animators out there, don't get downgraded for your work. Feel proud about your masterpiece :)

parker constantly makes excuses every time someone comments on his actions. even if the person speaks in a soft, asmr friendly voice, and gently explains to him the reasons why his 'facts' (which are really just his opinions in a trenchcoat) are flawed.
i don't like using the term 'playing the victim', especially because it's being used to crucify people who really are suffering and saying that they are suffering, but parker acts like he's the one being wronged whenever he covers commentaries that are done on him. i've watched a lot of the more notable commentaries on his hazbin hotel videos (junkie, creepshowart, another guy with a jester theme going on that i wholeheartedly respect, etc), and they were all constructive, somewhat gentle, and supported their statements with clips from parker's own video (hell junkie did a commentary on the whole video and showed the timestamps of any part her skipped. it was damn near impossible to take things out of context because he showed almost the entire video). now he's saying that "oh they're misunderstanding me, and they're taking my video out of context".
i respected pkrussel back when the spoctor drama happened, and i even watched one or two of his animation meme reviews back in the day. but now, i think he's declined as a content creator. he just throws fits whenever someone says something that doesn't agree with his points, and it's starting to get old. oh well, at least i get commentary to listen to while i'm drawing ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

As an artist (who has attempted and failed at animation) it kinda upsets me that someone who doesn’t have any knowledge of art was critiquing kids having fun through animation, which is incredibly difficult and taxing. Darky da Daze as an artist, I agree that you don’t need to be an artist to criticise art, but that doesn’t change the fact that his criticism sucks. The fact that he can dish it out but can’t take it is even worse.
When I found out about PK, it was during the Spoctor incident. And I was like "woah... this man is a saint, out there defending innocent till proven guilty, demanding evidence and context, never taking things at face value." It was thanks to him and Ponder Sprocket, my whole mentality changed and I went from being a kid who believed everything she saw, to an adult who assessed evidence given, and refused to take part unless I got the full story from both sides and was involved.
It was so frustrating and infuriating to see him go from that level headed saint to someone who takes everything at face value and impulsively makes opinions on minimal evidence, crying victim and warping other people's comments like the very people he used to call out.
He lost all my respect a long time ago.

I find the best part of this is how he does all the NSFW stuff for his mostly child based audience to see, knowing his audience is mostly child based, and has no disclaimers or anything for it, yet he said the same thing for Hazbin Hotel, which has multiple disclaimers that it's not for younger audiences and is even in a playlist literally labeled "NOT FOR KIDS."
