I don’t see anyone saying it here, but that two piece hand is fantastic! Totally agrees with your philosophy of a “3D drawing”, and shows how simple and effective two pieces of paper cut and glued can represent a complex shape. It also shows how practice and experience pay off, since I know that any beginner would have no idea how to cut paper to make those shapes.

Thanks so much for this, that was the first time I tried that idea. I'm surprised you notice actually since I didn't even show me making that part, you have a very keen eye

Learning to put your progress into perspective and seeing the skills you have now and how much you’ve learned is one of the hardest lessons to learn, especially for artists who see other artists who are more skilled or have different styles you admire, because you don’t know what they do and don’t have that let them get that good compared to you. I’m a broke artist from a small town in the US, and I’ve never really been taught anything to improve my skills. Art classes in school never helped because I was the only artist who actually wanted to learn more and not just have fun. I also have to use cheap materials, like Crayola markers instead of Copics, which can actually work very well when used with water and the right techniques, but I may never know if they can work as good as Copics or if I just need to get better. Your art and your style are awesome, and I hope you keep going and keep seeing progress

i think this video was kinda what of what i needed to (try) start making paper models from scratch. As most of the models you make are all insanely ripped and buff and swole and what other words you can think of for that. As i find that natural looking muscles are hard to make i was genuinely going to ask on this video (if it was venom part 4) if you could make a character that isn't ripped beyond belief like finn from adventure time, but just to take a step back and make a more simple design that isnt ripped to all heck, this seems like something (with practice) i could start getting into.(having little to no paper craft experience)
