first chairs sounds stunning. Edit had to add, this library is a landmark in VST’s.
(1) Thanks for the efficiently presented walkthrough (good tip about downloading only particular mic's) and (2) under your hands, the legatos sound first-rate
Orchestral Tools continually comes up with the unexpected--yet practical & totally usable--instruments
really good sounding new library, i saw the advertisement for this in an email the other day. Would be nice to have this library for sure. The pre recorded articulations like glissandos are nice to have
Thanks so much for this opportunity my friend! 😊
Thanks for the presentation. Very good library. It sounds so clean. This is something I could really use in many soundtracks.
Thanks for the walkthrough. It's nice to hear your point of view.
It sounds beautiful! Thanks for the review
Thanks for the video Christopher. Perfect library for contemporary classical music in addition with Salt & Tallinn !
Thanks for the review Chris! This is beautiful detailed string library. Really loved it.
This sounds great, it'd really help my compositions. Love the whisper legato
GOd, this sound is so characterful!!!! Definitely wish to use it in writing those ambient string tracks i'm working on for the portfolio
Thanks for demoing this lib. I love the sound of it and agree that the highlight for me is the first chairs ❤
Nice review Christopher, always appreciate your take. I don’t have a larger ensemble string library, so I’d love to add this to the quiver. Thanks again.
Beautiful library for soft and lovely scores! I love the legato patches
Love the intimate sound of this. I would definitely use first chairs for layering.
The legatos are just right, not overdone. Very natural sounding. The first chairs are also very well-sampled. I would use these to help give the background orchestra more definition. Really like the intimacy of the close mic sounds. Gorgeous library.
Thank you for this great review Chris! I absolutely love this library! The strings sound so fragile and beautiful! This is exactly the kind of tone I've been looking for. I would love to use these strings for emotional and intimate pieces together with piano. I was specifically looking for very soft and fragile sounding string legatos and this library seems to be perfect for that! It's also fantastic that it includes the first chairs as well, which sound really phenomenal! All of the legatos in this library sound really great and realistic, I especially love the three different legatos of the first chairs! The gestures are also very useful and seem like a great way to add even more realism. Even though I love this library so much there is no way for me to get it because even the intro price is far out of my reach. Thank you so much for giving me a chance to dream that it might be possible! :) Also I would like to say a big thank you to Orchestral Tools as well! That's really generous of them to give away three copies of this amazing library! :) P.S. After watching the video again I think this is really my favorite library by OT and one of the most beautiful string libraries available today!
The room is gorgious !!
The sound of the first chair are really nice and combine very well with the ensemble !! Very detailled, bravo !
This library is absolutely stunning. I really love to solo strings and the articulations within the library. I would love to use in a project to add the warmth, beautiful textures and realism this library offers.
Wow, beautiful library. I'd love to use it in my template for future intimate projects.
Thanks for the walkthrough.
I'm in love with this library. It sounds so good and clean. The legatos are great and the gestures are a fun addition.
I would absolutely use it as main chamber strings but also to layer larger string sections.
Awesome!! I love Vasks 🎶 🎻
so organic and emotional, thank you so much for this great review !
Great and unique string library for sure. A tool that it would put me in a different mindset when writing.
Oh myy .. this is what I need! sounds sooo supercool .. thank you Chris!
This has to be the most defined and realistic string library I've heard to date. And it has the perfect size in terms of players to be very flexible, both on its own and to layer with. The perfect library for divisi strings, both on its own with the sections with first chairs, or either of these layers with something else. The definition is really mind blowing. I've wanted Elite Strings by VSL since it came out, but I haven't been able to buy it. But now I really want this beautiful library. And it's definitely something I'd use daily for the majority of my projects. I don't buy a library unless it's something I really need and don't already have. And Vasks strings are unique in it's sound as well, and the string sound is perfect for Scandinavian sounding classical music as well, it's so warm, lyrical and delicate with all the details, including the vibrato, it never sounds exaggerated. Less is more. And I can just imagine how beautiful the string quartet arrangements I'd write with Vasks would sound 😍 just listening to these strings evoke my emotions and make me imagine unborn pieces of music 😁
A beautiful sounding library for a range of use-cases in orchestral compositions.
It seems a really beautiful library, lovely sound of the first chair too. i'd like to use it also for suspended and dark atmosphere
Thank you so much for this professional review of a very interesting and useful Library which could be used especially for all quieter and more intimate parts in film scoring.
I could see the legatos becoming my go to and the gestures sound like they can make the subtle and delicate changes that give life to a piece, Thanks for the video and the giveaway :)
Very interesting approach with this library 👌 Thanks for the presentation.
The first chair patches were amazing and I cant wait to try them
This library would really help me with my film scoring. I love the first chair soloist! Thanks!
I really like the unique sound of this library. I would use it for composing my favorite type of video game themes - forest, relaxing, and menu themes!
As usual.......................................ETC!!! You know and so do all who follow your channel. Brilliant as always - good review, detail, etc. Interesting library indeed.
Oh I’ve been listening to the demos all day! This review really came in handy hahah…
I would use this library for pretty much everything. I absolutely love the gentle sound it provides 🔥😍
Great sounding library, the lyrical legato sounds beautiful.
Beautiful and rich sound, and having the option to use first chairs is incredible
Sounds majestic! I would like to use that library for my mythical sounding soundtracks!
Really great fantastic library, so nice you made a review for it. 👍
Thanks Chris. I have been looking for a well recorded, detailed chamber strings library and this looks like it fits the bill!
Beautiful strings library!! Thank you for the amazing content you're always providing us with!
I would use it for all sorts of compositions : O sounds great!
I'd use this library for contemporary writing, the gestures and glissandi are angelic!
This library is going to be great for those really delicate and fragile moments!
Strings and Room sound fantastic. Great for delicate string passages. If I could get it, would be my first OT library.
Awesome! Sound so great, One of product interesting sound, its look great for intimate sound !
This would be a great library to be able to dig deep into writing for strings while experimenting with many effects. Much more exploratory than most libraries. I listened to Vasks' first symphony after seeing this and it's gorgeous. I can see how it connects with this library. Thanks for the overview!
Gorgeous stuff! I'd use this in lots of things but I would guess I'd particularly feature in more intimate songs.
Sounds so amazing for my orchestral style of music i make! Thank you again Chris!!!
Beautiful library that I think would fit into many various styles and genres.
Sounds great, thanks for thorough review!) They sound quite intimate and expressive, I would use those strings in my slow and emotive music😊
As someone who has been sitting on very basic strings libraries for a while now this is the library that finally calls to me. I'd love to use this for ethereal / suspense style pieces. The gestures and glissani would help so much with my style of music
Another great demo. As a beginner I have little experience with libraries to date, but find myself more attracted to detailed and intimate recordings. Just completed my first piece for cello, the sound of which I really like here along with the viola. I would use a library like this to continue my exploration of composition with a minimal and strong emotional format, which appeals to me greatly.
Such a rich library! The high level of detail makes it so much easier to convey emotions accurately. I’d like to try out its various gestures on some avant-garde pieces. Thanks for sharing!
Great review! This library sounds beautiful. My workhorse is Cinematic Studio Series but I have been looking for a smaller chamber library to add to my collection. This is the one!
This library is absolutely stunning and really adds a new color palet to anyone's arsenal ! I'd love to use it !
The legato sounds simply amazing! I love the tone of this library and especially the soloists :) Would love to use this library for my projects! Thanks again for sharing Chris, loved the walkthrough!
I would want to have this library for its intimate sound and extended articulations. It seems to be the perfect library for smaller ensamble sizes.
This library will
Definitely find a way into my minimalistic music.
beautiful library, amazing sound. thanks for the review Chris. orchestral tools always make incredible libraries. so fragile and yet so beautiful. the special articulations are a great feature
I will definitely use this library for more intimate, contemporary compositions. I have always focuse on more epic one, so this library will definitely give me more freedom in order to reveale intimate part of a soul!
WOW.. I have never heard strings like this before. I would use this to further expand my existing strings library considerably. This is an awesome library. Thank you for showing this
My last String Library. Just awesome - natural feelings - and the mic options are so well implemented - as you say even the Close. And so nice for them to ID Ribbon being used. Chris - get those gestures in your tracks!
This is indeed super cool. Same goes with Salu. Complete fresh sound of strings!!! Can't wait to own it.
A lovely library that I would love to have in my arsenal.
Amazingly good sounding library that have a strong and unique vibe. Can be really useful on some particular atmospheres.
Yet another great release from Orchestral Tools and a nice walkthrough, Christopher! So detailed with the soloists, and chamber ensemble. Lots of scope for using this library in many ways!
The fact that sounds super convincing for extended techniques makes me want this library right away! Thanks Chris!
Beautiful, love smaller ensembles
What an amazing sounding library! I would be interested in trying it out 😊
This is a fantastic library, the sound of St. John is Gorgeous. Another great work from OT! My favorite patches is Sal tasto Legato, that scripting does sound very convincing. I will use this library for the more creative & experimental, emotional tracks, this will fit very well. Also, thank you for reviewing the library! Great review as always. 😊
Great overview, and OT is really on a roll with these more niche-oriented libraries. I'd love to use these for intimate emotional pieces and some of the gestures seem useful for horror even.
Absolutely stunning new library from OT.. Those strings will be useful for so many different styles!
Awesome! Thanks so much Chris! I’d love to use this library to create lush and beautiful textures, enhancing my string writing sound. I believe this library has similar qualities to the score of In The Heart of The Sea, a beautiful score but detailed and intricate. Thank you again!❤🎉
Oh, this library is so gorgeous! ✨I'm producing a video series for an intro-to-philosophy college course, and I can really hear how this library would perfectly suit the episode on existentialism and nihilism, and the episode on nothingness!
What a wonderful sound. The marcato for the first chair violin was also very beautiful. The way the player digs into the bow just sounds... . Really helpful in this case that the library is more on the noisy side regarding bow noise etc. The sound is also THE selling point of the library imo. I rarely listen to demos or walkthroughs of sample libraries and rarely am I actually touched by what I'm hearing. Sure it sounds good and cool etc, but emotion is such an important aspect of music making and this library somehow really nails that. It just feels somewhat real to me. I think the space they recorded in also really helps. I agree with you about the gestures. I listened to some of Vasks' music and imo the gestures are his own and unique style. I couldn't really use that. It would feel like plagiarism ;). But the more standard part of of the library? Amazing! There is just something to the sound... . Right up my alley. Wish I could buy the library without the gestures. Probably would have bought it already.
What a great product Orchestral Tools has for us! The realism is really excellent and what about the sound? I would love to use this for my electronic productions...
i would love to have this for those first chairs.they sound so full and rich. so having sun tasto legatos that sound so well done would be a dream
Great video Christopher!!!! This is the best string library I've heard thus far, I can only imagine having this in ones arsenal and writing emotional or soulful melodies/passages. Do you know off any giveaways or sales on this? This is extremely expensive in my countries currency..... Awesome job!!!
I absolutely love this library, especially legatos, I'd love to use it for intimate/emotional parts.
Hello , thanks for the video, this library will be good for chamber music style
What an expressive library! I already saw OT’s video premiere and was immediately amazed. I can see myself using this for film and TV scores and basically anything emotional and intimate. Thanks for your review, by the way! 🙂
I love the OT libraries, and this one doesn't disappoint. It stirs the imagination! The Whipered Sustains are going to be so useful.
It sounds beautiful, I was looking for a library of this style, with ensemble and solo. I would use this library to make orchestral and emotional music.
I really love Orchestral Tools libraries and this strings one would definitely be incredibly useful for an upcoming project I have where the studio wants extra emotional orchestral sound but not too big as a symphonic orchestra. The celli are incredibly beautiful here :D. Great video Chris!
This library is amazing! I'd love using this mostly for the legato patches for some nice, melodic lines, but I can see those runs coming in handy, too!
Love the sound of this library. I would like to use this for more intimate pieces that require more nuance and character.
I really like the sound of them. Would be great to use these for more intimate and personal scoring scenes. Thank you for the independent walk through !
Gorgeous sound. For me, it’s the fact that they recorded the First Chairs along with the Chamber Sections. Lord knows how I’ve waited for a library that would tackle them both this elegantly. I love the size too because it manages to feel quite expressive and intimate while still sounding large.
Holy cow. I cant get over how good this sounds. Thanks so much for this review Chris! This is very much on my radar now. Id love to have this front and center in my fantasy mockups. Those unique gestures could add so much to a piece.. A man can dream lol
I would use for all project uz is very versatile and awesome sound
Nice video :) I would use this library for film scoring! thank you :)
OT is fast becoming my go-to. Every library guides my hand in a different way and I'd love to see what kind of music these strings would pull out of me.
Wow!!! I love the organic approach with this library. I feel that OT really stretched the creative bar with this one. I would love to use this in some classic orchestral pieces. Some great effects, legatos and unique tones to explore and inspire creativity. The solo instruments really have great sounding expressive quality’s. Sounds like it has great scripting which is so helpful when trying to work against the clock on tight projects. Altogether, this really looks like a very useful and fantastic library. Would love a copy! Thanks for the review Chris!
Great libraries be popping up. Audio Imperia is also planning on a new strings library
Sounds gorgeous! I think I'd use it to complement or even replace CSS because I prefer the tone of this one.
OT is awesome. I’d easily make room for this library in my template. Would be great for soft passages in general, but also for layering in with other strings to get more detail and flavour
This sounds so good. With this I could make my fireshow soundtracks so much more interesting and realistic.
