We at the grassroots levels, nobody knows what we doing upon all our effort on climate change. We don't have the common language to talk, even if we talk , nobody can understand our language. Because we are local communities.

On World Environment Day, environmental agency employees go on strike in Brazil for better working conditions. Marina Silva and Lula da Silva do nothing, while deforestation, fires and pollution have increased alarmingly in recent months. It is a global tragedy announced for the coming months.

It would be nice if the UN kept a online map showing exactly where those 1 Billion hectares are, otherwise, I feat a lot of UN funds will be syphoned off for national parks or existing wild habitats and not actually used for rewilding or land restoration. At least when its public, which lands are designated for restoration, then the public can report whether those projects are bona fida or not. Otherwise this I fear will turn into another green washing exercise.

It always ends with conventions, treaties and Pledges but you never see the impact. Over the years despite all the so called interventions and what have yo the state of our environment remains in continuous degradation, biodiversity loss and desertification is constantly on the increase and seems climate change is here to stay
