I love to see Batswana working outside. I’ve been in China for 5years but I feel ready for my next opportunity. Which sites did you use to find a job in Hong Kong? I can share mine for China too.. if you have WeChat and want change.
Heyy sis 😊 I’m currently working towards moving to China, I recently got my tefl certificate. I’m a South African. Is it easy finding a kindergarten teaching job on my own without any agency?
@@Carol_Kayy_Kunene hi babes..- yes it’s easy. If you have WeChat I can refer agents to you. Agents in China get paid by the school to find teachers. Schools use them to advise jobs with offers. Salaries range from 16k after tax to 32k after tax
@@Carol_Kayy_Kunene yes it is.. if you have WeChat or LinkedIn it’s easy finishing a well paying job. You can find offers from 18k to 25k (RMBs) after tax with accommodation and benefits
Hi Boipelo, 1. For shared apartment you don't need to pay that three months (rent+deposit)? 2. They don't need that apostle process? It's fine to apply with just your police clearance and degree 😅
Dear Boipelo, may I ask you a question on taxes? If you work for a public school in HK, but also generate income from things such as UA-cam, do you have to pay taxes on that? Are you allowed to work privately in addition to a public teacher job in Hong Kong?
I have been researching going to Hong Kong. I wanted to find out do you get a housing allowance over and above your salary or just your straight salary?
@@kads8612 really? 😭 i applied for a working holiday visa so i won’t need visa sponsorship and i did the TEFL 120 hours, but i don't have my degree yet. do you know of anyone who was able to get a teaching job with no degree?
@@lovwe1490 I’m sorry but it’s impossible to get a good teaching job or any good job without a degree. Hong Kong is an extremely competitive place, you need to be the best to get the best 🥲 May I know where you’re from and what you’re studying?
@@kads8612 I’m from london and studying graphic design, but i’m still at uni, i didn’t think a degree was necessary at the minute because i’m on working holiday visa, i don’t need a visa sponsorship as i’m here for a year and my visa allows me to take up full time employment for my time here
@@lovwe1490 I’m sorry if this question offends you but are you white? 😅 if you’re white then you have a good chance of being hired by local education centers. I can’t guarantee a full time job with them but you can definitely get hired for part time. At the end of the day, it depends on your luck too. Have faith and go with the flow 😆 I recently graduated with a BA degree from a local university here in HK but all the employers who have interviewed me wanted extra teachers training and qualifications 💀 I’ll have to study for one more year it seems 🙄 good luck to you though!!
Hello Just found your channel. I also applied for Eureka and i got an invitation for one way interview. I have been afraid of doing it. Do you mind if you share your dm i contact you and ask what questions to expect please
Thank you so much Bone❤ this has really helped and given me much hope

Hello sisi, can one get lucky with an Advanced Diploma?

Hey Boipelo, are you able to save money every month? If you don’t mind sharing can you at least save 5000 Hong Kong Dollars or even more?
How long does it take for you to get your first paycheck? Some people say they work for 2 months before gwtting their first paycheck
Hey,it takes a month.
I have been researching going to Hong Kong. I wanted to find out do you get a housing allowance over and above your salary or just your straight salary?
Hi…Well you only get housing allowance if you’re hired directly by the government (EDB NET Scheme) or in some cases an international school.
How much are you paying for your room? I think i only heard you talking about your rent for the first month.
Around the same amount as the first month.
Is having a degree absolutely necessary for a native english teaching job in Hong Kong?
Yes!! They won’t even consider you if you don’t have a degree from a good university
