To do both fronts it takes me approximately a day but that was only because it was a hot summers day so the paint dries fast. Although I do like to leave the calipers a couple days after for the paint to cure / harden. The time is mostly taken up waiting on paint to dry.
Hi my Vw t4 V639kah starting slipping clutch up steep hills we in Cornwall I believe it’s dmf been quoted 760£ all in up Ellesmere Port clutch centre I know it’s quite a job I’ve had van 2 years and done 40000 mile coming up to 294k now had cam belt done water pump runs gold change oil regular
Hi.well we been lucky with our t4 caravelle we hope.had a noise at front of van a sort of clicking noise appeared about month ago that for faster with speed.was goin to go to mechanic after checking behind wheel then it stopped.we did cornwall ,twice ,the lakes and wales just and on way home noise appeared again.so thought best go Kwikfit in Chester as was working near there.the noise was more pronounce now.was thinking drive shaft now as noise stopped when pressed clutch pedal down coasting then .kwikfit said lucky we didn’t breakdown and shouldn’t drive no more as was loose bolt with one shaft about to drop out .said we need both drive shafts and intermediate shaft doing .thinks the :middle shaft causing noise and will need remounting he says.i wouldn’t attempt that.its 900£ all in.well we used van most days for work and holidays too ,on 282000 miles engine is still strong.have receipts for new clutch and I had cam belt kit pump and seals done plus tuned up by vw trained guy .he is 60£ an hour but knows t4s well.didnt want move it from kwikfit so let them sort it.all gears ok and clutch when stopped so hopefully no damage to gearbox .i had unload my fridge contents in van as solar panels won’t get lot of light in garage 😂
steve mcgowan there are 2 shafts is and the intermediate shaft is just a part from gearbox to driveshaft with a mount that bolts to the engine block and I would doubt that would be a fault. The shafts are approx £70 each

I am thinking, do you think it good idea spray the paint color or use brush?
@@petrholusa5855 spraying is a better finish but more expensive than brush paint. As long as you use a high temperature paint it will be fine
Can i sandblast my calipers? How should i protect the interior parts?

AMS Vauxhall sorted for now can open from inside .handle on inside must be disconnected from inside

steve mcgowan £900 to replace 2 driveshafts? Or the clutch as well?

AMS Vauxhall they said it seemed the mount was loose and need to remount it and the centre shaft causing noise .it used to be a limo b4 a campervan

Found a guy will do clutch for 200 £
