You sir are a hidden gem on UA-cam! Excellent, informative, entertaining video. A true car guy’s overview of the ownership experience. No ridiculous gripes with the car and clear details about the positive aspects of ownership. Really appreciate it - keep up the great work!
The W204 C63 is a close 2nd to the Maserati GranTurismo sound wise. Coming from a previous owner, but the Maserati has it on looks hands down. Love the car.
I nearly purchased one last year, actually it was my intention to purchase one however I ended up purchasing a Jaguar XKR V8 Black Pack. It came down to average service costs, being in the UK Jaguars parts and dealers are much more widely available. Don't get me wrong you can get Maserati service in the UK no problem but I'd have to pay 4 times the cost of Jag service and was not something I was quite willing to do. I absolutely agree with you the Maserati is the best sounding V8 GT by far! The noise in sport mode and when you down shift on the overrun is immense. I still eye them weekly and may add a Stradale so the Jag has a sister a few years.
i love the Maserati GT, dark blue, burgundy, or silver with a dark red or tan interior is gorgeous. for me however the XJ or XK makes more sense unless i was a mechanic with a full shop.
You weren't willing to drive 30 miles to buy a car? I had to go across the country to Detroit mid-winter to grab the GranTurismo I wanted.. you lucked out finding such a beautiful spec right in your area, but with such a car, you really need to shop around. Otherwise, you could overpay by tens of thousands!
No, I wasn’t willing to drive 30+ miles to see a car that I knew I’d have to take another 50miles to drop off in a city 80miles away from my house just to get critical recalls taken care of.
I call it the Italian Corvette (C7) - simply because it's such great value. If it were badged as a Ferrari, it would be worth north of 200K easily. You chose well for your first (hopefully of many) exotics.
I dont understand why you have to have exotic/classic car insurance. This is my 2nd GranTurismo, my first MC but my insurance company is still the same as I did on my Range Rover.
I've got a 2013 S and it has an auto box with the ability to send it to manual mode. I really don't think this car would 'fit' with a stick shift given its GT nature. Also not sure why you have exotic car insurance. Mines through Geico for $150 bucks a month. Its alot more of a steady eddy (but a very crazy steady when you want) than you would think if you only saw and heard it.
I have Hagerty insurance as that’s what Progressive sent me to. I do think a manual would have been amazing in this car as manuals feel more engaging imo. The car is nimble enough for a manual.
@@PradigyMusicman i would love to experience this car in manual… just that they didn’t create a manual due to the image they were trying to sell. Thanks for the video!
I have a 2010 QP...... these cars are very misunderstood...... first of all they make absolutely no sense: would you like to a performance limousine driven by a chauffeur that has a coke problem? would you like to be collected from the airport in total luxury and then get driven away like you're leaving the scene of a crime? very unlikely...... but Luca Montezemolo has commissioned a car that fits the bill.... 😂😂
This car is a Masterpiece 🔱, lot of people are gone wish they bought one and kept it for a long period of time, this Masterpiece is gone be one of a kind collectable classic pretty soon.

Best sounding car ever I agree!!!!
It’s sad to see the new one won’t follow

Performsnce wise what is better?
totally agreed.. the w204 c63 is special..
literally cross shopping the both as we speak
This is the best description ive heard yet of what makes these cars magical
Love the tube amp comparison. Easily the best sounding thing on the road, and I personally love a car that's this fun at any speed.
I knew someone would get the tube amp metaphor haha
i have a granturismo S , ang got many others cars , confirm that is the best V8 sound

Mine are Bourdeaux Pontevecchio and Blu Mediterraneo (Coupé S and Cabrio S) both 2011s - they sound epic! And they are NOT slow!
make a vid about the cost of ownership and reliability
pls

the parts are Ferrari. I know that from replacing the infotainment. Lots of horse logos on those parts
Kind of looks like a viper acr in the back

who is your insurance company?
@@PradigyMusicman progressive. I've even had a couple of claims in the past several years in California.
Geico insures GranTurismos as well. However, they don’t insure anything above a Maserati like a Ferrari, Lamborghini, etc.
I just picked up a GranTurismo S and had no problem insuring it with Erie. It just costs significantly more than my Lincoln.
I have a MC and had to get Hagerty insurance because of my age, I bought when I was 27 so no one would insure me and I had an accident on my record.
Wait till you do repairs 😢
Aston martin 4.7 v8 vantage and this one are best suonding❤❤❤❤
for this car white is the best color no lie

USAA insured mine and it was cheaper than my wifes Nissan
How much is it for monthly insurance?🙄
1100 annually

Horrible choice of interior man at least get a nice brown or beige color. Interior so dark and lackluster come on man.
