this is not a multi-link. It is a 3 link mcpherson strut, very common to sedans in the 90's like alfa romeo 156,147, toyota carina/corolla, subaru imprezza , lancia delta and many other cars back in the day. The correct name in camuffo type mcpherson strut. today it is only used in the duster and jeep renegade aka fiat 500x

Always multilink independent suspension is better than other common dependent suspension..but costlier and each wheel has to be balanced independently
