They actually made a smaller, less expensive version of this, And the majority of the text was in Roman font rather than Gothic font, the Almanac was solely in Gothic font, and the scripture text was in Roman font. it sold for like $60 or $70, I have that version
I have a facsimile of the 1611 by Henderson. I actually think the older spelling is easier to read sometimes or makes more sense. There are not unnecessary or as many silent letters that do not need to be in words.
It certainly is beautiful,as you said! Unfortunately for me, it also comes with a beautiful price tag: a full grand!😢 Well, I can still dream anyway...
I remember when they were 500 now they became 1500 they got .greety and tripple.the pri😮ce .Nice bible. still .But a rather give the money to some one in need.😊
@Bible Buying Guide, that paper is a lot heavier than 60 gsm as photocopier paper is 80 gsm min that paper looks more like 120 gsm. Though a nice review of original KJV.
Thanks! It's really hard for me to tell. It feels thinner than the 100gsm in the Lecturn KJV from Cambridge, but the texture is a lot different, so it could be that's throwing it off for me. It's awesome paper and has more of a watercolor paper feel, similar to cloth.
You've never read the full Bible with the intention of examining its claims. Here me well, mocker. Understand that one day you WILL stand before this Christ you now mock and blaspheme. Repent now, while He still grants you breath to do so.
The point of making it this big in 1611 was to make it readable on the lectern. This replica is intended for bibliophiles with plenty of discretionary income who want an accurate facsimile of the original printing, much in the same way that someone might want to buy a facsimile of The Great Gatsby's first edition.
Believers know that the size doesn't make it more believable. They already believe and don't need any further proof. The reason believers would want a Bible like this is because it is just about THE most perfect way to showcase God's word which is available to us now.
Now that’s a Bible to literally fight your battles
Isaiah 40:8 - KJV
8 The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.
This copy won't last with him touching the pages.
WoW that’s huge !!!
I have a smaller 1611 Bible and I read it every day. 🤓
But I use a magnifying glass /light .
Thank you, Brother Randy🌹⭐🌹
That's an everyday carry, if I ever seen one.
That is one beautiful Bible!
Wow, that makes my study Bibles looks like thinlines. Massive!
This is so epic! What an amazing bible to own!
Once you put that 30 lb
1611 King James down,
the term “Bible thumper”
had wholly/Holy? new and improved meaning!💢📖
LOVE IT!😂
That's a BIG Bible 😮

I would love to have a bible that big to read from
I have the regular deluxe version. I couldn't afford the super deluxe with those massive hubs lol.
Wow, that is incredible!
It certainly is beautiful,as you said! Unfortunately for me, it also comes with a beautiful price tag: a full grand!😢 Well, I can still dream anyway...
I'm with you. I'd never be able to afford this if it wasn't getting a review copy.
Amazing
A beauty!

What year did the 1611 become available in small size to the public?
The paper is cloth same as was used in 1611 ;-)
Thanks!!
Wow, I gotta have one of those! Could you please compare it with the ESV Pulpit Bible? Those two would make excellent collector’s items!
Believers are so funny.
It's not like the size is going to make it more believable.
