Hi I'm halfway through taking a current map and crop mod lots further
I am learning but know lots from other games
I'm interested in taking the riverbends cannabis mods lots further
So far I have changed an XML for the modded hay dryer to accept cannabis and give cannabis + %10 in volume
Because I need to create a cannabis dry crop or whatever
So it works fine as is but only makes sense on sell
I'm after two things specific to the game hence why I'm stuck
One
How to duplicate the cannabis crop to edit into dry cannabis and the original cannabis
And I would also need the distribution to put back into the silo possibly a dry cannabis only one for sale at better time for price
Two how to set the price for the crop
As I say I kinda know how but XML names that are relevant would be marvellous and hints to finding the crop lists either for map or best way you suggest
Asking now as Im almost having to rebuild the map as riverbends is awful for mp play
Is it easy to adapt to new maps ?

@@LAMBOMODS yea, there's a good amount of people who can't play because the game just won't launch. It's not a Steam issue because FS22 still works. Even with updating drivers and Windows, verifying files, etc. it still won't run. 🤷🤷

Always worth your time dude, I will watch your wizardry until the end of the world as we know it lol I'd like to know how the XML mods are made/work like removing the cross hair or speeding up time, I know we have these mods but I'd like to have it explained how to do it.

Glad I didn't throw away all the example and universal script files for fs22, they come in handy in fs25.
Not sure if I am going to take the effort to upload them to giants modhub, they have been finicky in the past.

Something I noticed that’s new In fs25. The seeders and planters. You don’t have to type out each fruit type you want to plant. Even tho that still works. You can just put in planter types example sowing machine etc. I made a couple multi fruit planters already. The rice planter is the only one that won’t work with cause it works off pieces sort of like the tree planter.
I was wondering what you were using to view the .dds files in thumbnail (inside windows file explorer). I currently can only see certain dds but not the store dds files.
By the way, you are doing an amazing job! I have watched all your FS25 videos to date.

I'm really glad I found your channel, I can't wait to try my hand at modifying things. BUT, if I may, I would like to add some constructive (hopefully) feedback about your video. I'm very right-brained and I get easily lost when it comes to very technical specifics like filenames/types/locations. I have zero experience when it comes to editing files and such. So, if you could slow down a bit, and be as specific as possible about everything you're doing I think I'd have an easier time following what your saying. I find that many times throughout your video I have to pause, and back up over and over. Sometimes I'm not sure what folder you've jumped to or what file I need to go back to. I find that I even have to squint and try and read the location of what you've switched to in your file explorer.
Like the files you gave us in your drop box. There's a normal folder, and then there's a zip folder and you didn't specify which one we should be working in.
People that are familiar with this stuff will blaze right through this. But, for a video like this that's an introduction to modding I think it would be beneficial to us noobs, if you just assumed we have no experience and be a lot more specific about everything you are doing.
I hope this is helpful and I don't sound like I'm being obnoxious. Keep up the good work and I look forward to more videos!

Great video. I would like to start learning how to change the wheel turning rate (left or right) based on the speed of the vehicle. Slow speed is fast turning and gradually become slow turning for fast speed. Could you give me a small idea of where you put something like that in the game files or would it require a new dependency/ file/ script to be added?
Not a thing as far as I know, you just have one rotation speed. Usually found in wheels configuration section

Would be nice to see the animations of before and after the mods. ie speed difference, fill and discharge difference.
I created my own model of harvester I hope your tutorials will help me code that model into the game
nice job, that is a super complex machine, if this is your first mod, it may be difficult. I suggest make a few mods from ingame harvesters, see how the code works, it will help you design the model and separate the parts

No, you can load multiple vehicles thru one moddesc
@LAMBOMODS gotcha. I tried doing it yesterday the first one I did worked but not the second one. I think I messed it all up lol.
If you fail, one must try again. You will get it, modding is a bunch of exact tasks that are not complex. Just if you forget to dot your I's and cross your T's it won't work. :) ---( edit, not litterly crossing your ts, just analogy)

Thank you very much for giving us your time in making this vidd. It's much appreciated. I am having a problem when I am copy and pasting any of the folders. When I go to edit them they open up in a browser window and won't allow me to edit them. I have Notepad++ and I can't add them to a new folder in there either. I am sure my computer illiteracy has gotten the best of me but please help me get to where I an edit xml......
Right click, and use Open with... then choose notepad ++
Great video i learn alot from you Lambo keep it up!.please tell me someone has figured out how to change the colors on a vehicle and make it changeable in game.my kid got this game and is dying for a dodge ram that can change color but i cant finf any info on how to change the colors.ive messed with the xmls and everything but im not sure if i need giants editor 10 for it or if i can edit the xml somehow to have mods change colors and stuff.its a mod from fs22 that i got to load into fs25 but the texture or shaders dont load its just the checkered look.any help is appreciated.
Without GE, colors is hard... its possible

Proper novice here. Your vids are unreal and helped heaps. I've changed the Dev Control in the xml to True however it won't bring it up in game when i click the button...... Any thoughts on what's wrong?
Go back and ensure the game.xml is still set to true. Game updates eith revert it back to default. Maybe that happened

have not played with it yet, FDR Logging has a YT channel, he is really smart with logging stuff.
i did some minor changes with xml files of mods back with FS13, i watched somebodys 1 minute yt clip that said you could create mods from the game in the editor. (surprise: i cant with no former knowledge, just playing around). It had no collions of any sort and fell right trhrough the map.
then i watched this video and tried to make the frontloader shovel capacity a little bit higher, it shows up in the mod folder, but not in the in-game mod installed menu

We have an online server with multiple farms, we still want seasonal growth to be on but its really annoying when we have nothing to do and we need to wait for another farm that dosent have their players online to harvest their crops.
I have never modded before and since withering is a game option i figured that would be a bit harder to modify than an object in the game
I am not sure how to do that yet, but ill keep it mind

Have to tweak with the other engine specs to get more speed. The transmission usually is what limits the speed as well

@LAMBOMODS should the 'tilde' key ~ you mention not be the 'backwards tick' ¬ next the number 1 key below ESC? @10:53
I forgot the name of it, its the ~ key 😆
@@LAMBOMODS on my UK keyboard the backwards tick or the reversed single quote ` is under the ESC key left of the "1" key, whereas the tilde key ~ is to the left of the ENTER/RTN key.
Pressing the tilde key has no effect, whereas pressing the key below ESC as mentioned above opens the command console.
So, which key defined by its physical placement, rather than it's appearance (shape/symbol), or given name, is what opens the console.
So anyone who is pressing the ~ key and not getting an open console, try press the key directly below the ESC and left of the "1" key ignore the graphics name etc just press the key in that location on your keyboard.
US, UK, Canadian, Australian etc all speak English but have different keyboard layouts and the more diverse the language from English the more complicated they key layout gets, so the key mapping for ALL users is whatever key is located at the location set out above.

yes, once GE comes out, I dont want to teach a method that will be obsolete when the software releases
is the sawmill fixable right now without the editor? the 300k one has a todo section in its xml for wood chips. right now the only way to get wood chips out of it is by pallets and i have 200000L of chips stored up. im not loading that many pallets....ever, even with super strength. ive tried for a couple of hours now by either moving the productions to the cooperUS which has a working wood chip dispenser and various ways of fixing the sawmill itself. none have worked.
guess i kind of found a work around. made the wood chips into a production so i can at least set them to sell automatically instead of clogging up the pallet spawn.
now to figure out how to make trees skip growth stages to stop the game breaking bug with planted trees. for those that dont know trees in growth stage 2+ until fully grown will delete every planted tree on the map if you load your game while they are in those stages(2 to fully grown).
i feel like this video is missing some details or the video was too fast...but i don't know where to put this new xml and are placeables the same as vehicles do i use the same sample to edit them??

Ive watched it numerous times and i must be missing something. After your done editing what you want do u copy and save it to your mod folder or what do u do to it once done editing? Need the dummy version lol
No you copy (assuming) the XML and i3d to your mods folder, then make edits.

I unfortunately did not purchase Farming Simulator 25 in Steam, instead I purchased from Giants. When I go to Program (86) / Farming Simulator 25 / data / vehicles and select the Kubota. There is no Notepad++ icon in the file and yes, I do have Notepad++ but is there something I am doing wrong?

I can’t get the tilde key to work? Any suggestions would be nice. I’ve tried uninstalling drivers reinstall all that from the web. Still no luck. My mods won’t load in game.

No editing outside xmls, etc.

After the mod edit, did you drop the revised file into the FS25 game folder or zip and place into the FS25 mod folder???

The mod its self will be in its own folder inside the mods folder. Xml will be in base level mod folder.

NotePad ++, its free :)
If you mean icons, you right click and choose open with/ or go to properties and assign the file to open with the program

I dont have advice for converts till we get GE, however with collisions, check other ingame vehicles i3ds via notepad++ and see how they did collision groups and masks. Find similar collisions, and copy into i3d. hit save, don't reopen i3d.. it will break

How is it done for console, like for PS5?
You will upload your mod to giants and they decide if it makes it to console... PC is king
I altered the engine on the International Cabover. I intended to add an engine option and while i did get it to add one with more power and it functioned okay, i couldnt get it to show the horse power with more then one engine option. Couldnt figure out what i did wrong. Functions fine with one engine option.

for some reason when i go to make the folder and open it and save it and i lets say i forgot to change the "yourmodnamehere" it will take me to a random place on my computer i have no idea on why it even does that
I edited a grainmill using the same way but it creates the duplicate version of it (just like it did with the Kubota). Is there a way to REPLACE the previous one with the modded one??
make sure your in your XML, you have file name pointed towards the i3d your editing.
How can we set the "automatic pallet load" in some trailer?

what part of gameplay, many many files, do many many different things...
@@LAMBOMODS That's true, but is there a file where it would give you an idea how to find exact mechanics for distaster frequency, animal base sell value from the game, not a map or the same yield fluctuation that I dabbled in fs22 and it took quite a while to make it work etc
