@@BobbySacamano just going to a few local shops in my area… I can get single shot tubes for like 12-15 bucks a piece. I’m not gonna pay 300 bucks for a assortment that only has a few of them.

@@PyroBros986alot of places dont have a “local shop” im a manager at a Phantom and the only other firework shops anywhere near us is a Skyking and they are over an hour away with similar prices.

I still have a Phantom sales flyer Phantom from 2008, the most expensive assortment is the A-025C Grand Finiale assortment costing a mere $79.99 and just looks like a better lineup full of assorted cakes.
on the flyer itself there is a coupon for a free Battle of Yorktown A-016SC assortment which would regularly be $64.

Stay away from Shelton Fireworks! We have had lots of duds from them. From what I have heard, they never rotate their stock

@@catchthewind8563 We dropped 2k at Sheltons on the fourth. It wasn't bad. Prices were very nice and affordable, and they had more other brands then their in house brands like El Torro and Mad Hornet. This was in fair play sc, so idk about the rotation of their stock here, it might be different in Missouri or Alabama. Just dont get their in house brands if you dont want duds. i do agree the in house stuff is a little old

Love the videos I recently went to phantom fireworks and bought stuff
my favorite rocket from my youth was the 'Texas Pop Rocket' with duel report. they still make them but now its a two stage with only 1 report, the other stage is a bit of sparly bits... far cry from the original but its still 'ok'

I’d like to make a request to see if you would do a review video of the Black Mamba shells. They tend to be at a nice price point so it would be interesting to see if it’s a good value. Love the videos as always!
Those comets are the finale of those magical barrages. They just went kinda early, lol. That item is one of my favorite classics. They used to also make a crackling candle barrage- which was hella fun, and a liu yang barrage- which was a furious barrage of tiny bursts. Like the candle of yhe same name, but way more effective due to the higher volume of shots in the air.
Ive always wanted the tube assortment, because tubes were also part of my early pyro adventures. It just never seems to make it into my cart... Its a long drive to the closest store, so i dont get there often.
I DO get to their S&S tents, and will gladly pay the $, because they have some of the best high end fountains around. All tents are spendy, so Phantom is no worse than the others. Thus, i go to whomever has the best items.
Ive always been happy with what I buy from the stores. Its just a tad salty. I mostly avoid the high ticket items, though. An hour or so further are 2 wholesalers- and they have HUGE selections of 500g cakes and tube racks.

I remember the large single shot tubes in the early 80s cost $30-40 for one. My dad would say are you crazy because $25 was my bank role. lol $25 got your a lot of small fireworks back then.

Damn I used to work at Phantom years ago and these were $100! Used to do buy 2 get one free. I'd set people up with one of these, grand finale kit and uncle sam assortment. All 3 for $200 was perfect. The 3 assortments give you a little bit of everything. Crazy this is 3x the price now!

This year I got this assortment and the Utter Amazement for about $190, just under $200. I think that is a deal.

I've never been disappointed with Phantom except for their prices.
It is best when they are doing a buy 1 get 2 free, that makes them competitive with other outlets.
They have their best deals during the off season when they are trying to clear out inventory..
Buy 1 get 2 still is 20-30% higher than average retail.

And its usually for anything of equal or lesser value so you don't have to buy 3 of the same thing.

They also have coupons for individual items keep in mind though all these coupons do is bring items back down to normal retail prices.

You can get 2 or 3 canister kits for that price which would give you a better show. No way I'd pay $300 for that assortment.
If you can get a good deal in single shots, imo theyre better than NOABS because of the variety of effects

The quality of Phantom looks good, but the price is nuts. I’ve always wanted to try Phantom, but I have never seen any in my state. Lots of BIG, Black Cat and TNT here.

Pricing on fireworks is crazy in the US and I'm saying this as a german. In germany you would pay maybe 80 dollars for an assortment like this.
You know, going to Walmart and buying a $300 trash can is more worth it. You’ll get more use out of it rather than single use

I prefer buying the items individually almost all the time at phantom or TNT. The Emerald City is a nice little 200g cake but I paid 10 bucks for it after 50% off. I'd rather have 8 or 9 real little cakes for under $100 than 3 cakes, 4 fountains and 3 candle cakes @ $150. Could use that other $60 or so on a small 500 gram cake and have a better time
A 24pk.of 4" canisters hit harder, cheaper and wayyy more inside. Holy shit most of those were preloaded 1.75" shells at like $30 each....that's insane!!!!!
The last two times I went to Phantom in Indiana, I walked out. Their prices are ridiculous. I don’t know how they stay in business, because everyone I talk to about fireworks, says the same thing.
