I have been following Nick's career for the last 25 years, so I knew. Apart from being a world class drummer, he is a great singer, plays guitar, keyboards and several brass instruments, and knows how to write a good tune!

Some weeks before the announcement, he covered some Pat Torpey grooves on his channel, and I knew that he had worked with Paul before, as Paul played a solo on his last solo record. That's why I wasn't that surprised.

That was really great footage and the band sounded white hot. I was starting to worry based on some of the recent footage I'd seen that Eric might have been hitting a wall but he sounded in top form there (also credit to the band that for as many times as I've heard these songs live over the years, they always add new wrinkles into the arrangements to keep them fresh). Nick also sounded killer on drums and did a really nice job of preserving Pat's parts while adding his own depth to them as well. I really hope they drop this concert in full soon and will be looking forward to the new album as well!! \m/
