I always wonder at 12 volts it will pull 8 amps from the power supply to give about 100 watts. The thin wire are not melting where as my project needed a rewinding of the atx transformer to give such performance with much thick wire with out the capacitor voltage doubling circuit. Did input wire became warm after few seconds?
Ohh one thing i forgot mention, i was using tl494 ic. May be thats why i needed thick wires at the input because the ic was adjusting the output voltage with feed back.

Welcome. Cool topic! I did the same, except that I didn't have 220 Ω resistors and I gave 230 Ω. I don't know if the power is the same as yours, I took them out of the 235W ATX. And when I connect a 25W / 230V bulb at the output, the voltage is 170V 😐only. A little bit because you have 4 times as much light bulb (100W) and measurement 224V👍 instead of IRF540 I had IRFP240, resistors instead of 220Ω I had 230Ω, a reactor about 50 turns and the rest is rather the same. Does it affect? I supplied this with a 15V / 4.5A power supply on trial and it only dropped to 13V. Have you run without a load (light bulb, laptop adapter)? I think this may be the fault of the transistors because the IRFP240 have RDSon - 180 mΩ, and the IRF540 have RDSon - 44 mΩ and thanks to that they run faster which translates into further parameters. IRFP240: 20A, 200V, RDSon 180mΩ, IRF540: 33A, 100V, RDSon 44mΩ. Perhaps the 10Ω difference on these 220Ω - 230Ω also does its job. I connected the laptop and it works. Regards.

Cleciano, no es necesario que le pongas los diodos y los filtros, esos componentes son para que el voltaje alterno se convierta en voltaje directo( + y -) pero, lo que interesa es poner los componentes que van en el primario👍👍
