Lol Cory’s face in maybe every subscriber feature video so far.
Yup!
The Cory shrine cracks me up. Good luck with the tubs. Can't wait to see how they produce at the end of the season. Thanks for posting Mike. Cool video.
Thanks for watching Chica!
Thanks Lisa 😁👍
You have a nice Christmas and plenty of good stuff to eat and everything.
Happy holidays!
Pretty cool
Yup. Maui Macadamia nut coffee.
Thanks Michael for featuring us once again on your channel, we do sincerely appreciate it 👍👍😁

Your welcome Jeff, thanks for the support buddy! :)
@@MichaelsFishRoom we love you 2! Mrs Aquadiction wants a Michael shrine now!
LOL@the Corymorial... that guys shows up everywhere.
LOL
Nice
Thanks
Paradise fish are a great tubbing option. Done those a few times (East Midlands, UK). When it's time to bring them in early October time, there is always a ton of fry.
That’s interesting, funny enough we were looking at the black variety last week, thanks for sharing this experience it gives us ideas 👍👍
No problem. I have a black variety (Macropodus Spechti) in my cichlid tank now. I've spawned them many a time, but lost the female when she jumped out of the tank a few months back.
They are hardy as hell and would easily take to tubbing same as the blue/red striped varieties. They are remarkable fish.
Just to add, you do need a few hot days for them to spawn. Over 27c I would say.
These fish do not need a heater and do well as low as 15c (and lower for shorter periods). However, they wouldn't usually spawn until the temperature got to those higher levels.
Cool!
@@andreashessler838 Thank you for all that detailed informative information, we are 100% interested in getting some of these now if we can find them :)
Across the pond to visit you, but got send back over the pond. To see some ponds. Lol. No ponds attended , 😉 Beautiful fish. Very pretty. And some new ones for me to see. Thank you for showing.
Thanks 👍
Cory shrine? 😂
Yup
That was very nice.
Glad you liked it!
I wonder how many liters those blue totes were? I missed it if he said. I also wonder if he uses any netting. I know they have a poop ton of dragon flies just looking for a massacre site! The mini ponds certainly appeared to be thriving!
Great questions!
We don’t use netting as we have never had the ‘alien’ problem Michael gets for some reason, not sure why but when we drain the ponds we haven’t ever found one! Strangely though we have had them twice in the fish room in our house! I guess it’s possible they are in the ponds but tbh at the end of the season we have more endlers/guppies than we know what todo we and it’s pretty hard to shift them in the uk!
Oh and they for 400 litres off the top of my head, or 500….u know I can’t rightfully remember but it’s between the two
@@Aquadiction Great info! Thanks! Hope you have a wonderful tubbing season and thank you for sharing the experience!
Oh no my bad I’m in USA Florida
LOL
Do some commentary kind sir. Love hearing your opinion on things.
Thanks
@@MichaelsFishRoom appreciate the reply 🤝. So nice to come across someone that isn’t afraid to not be pc. Keep doing what you do, I’ll be here to support it.
Hi Michael thanks for the great content, i have question I know you use an air pump in your tubs but do you think if you put enough plants do you still think you would still need to ?
Great question! Yes, plants do not do anything for surface agitation or to add O2 to the water, so yes I still think I need one.
I should send you a picture of my outdoor pond/ stock water tub with the goldfish and animals drinking out of it. How many snowflakes do you think would loose it?
All of them. LOL
Love your videos. Can you please tell me where can I order blue tubs like that ?
Are you in the UK?
eBay in the uk for us (might be the same in the USA! Search term ‘koi vat’ hope that helps 👍
The ponds are awesome! Unfortunately, the weather is too cold where I live, so all the fish would die, but I can certainly admire your tubbing!
Where do you live?
@@MichaelsFishRoom I used to live in the US, but I moved to Amsterdam, Netherlands for work about a year ago.
Hi VoidWalker, you could probably do rice fish (most of the year) and endler for a couple of months? Just an idea!
@@Aquadiction I would love too, but I don’t know how it would work out with all the rain. Will the rain bring harmful chemicals? Overflow the bins? The water definitely gets too cold for endlers, but idk about rice fish.
@Voidwalker The rainwater will only be good for the fish IMO. Overflow, I guess, depends on how much rain you get, but in the UK, we haven't had that problem YET (I think it's easily solved with a PVC overflow pipe! I know a guy in the UK up north who keeps rice fish out all year in a tub without a problem, and it does ice over. I hope that helps a bit, dude! Basically, if your temps don't fall below 9c overnight, you can get away with Endlers for a couple of weeks; ours are fine for a few days as low as 8C. (after shooting this video, the temps did drop to 9C for a couple of days, and everything was fine! White clouds and danios are good options for summer tubbing in lower temperatures, but rice fish are normally the best option
no aeration at all?
Nope
No tbh we have never used it in the 5/6 years we have done tubbing (or my dad when I was a kid) think the plants work well for us, that’s just our experience though it might not work for everyone 👍
Anyone know what that long needle leafed marginal plant was?
I don’t
Hi Chris, it was Scirpus Cernuus, (also called Fibre Optic Plant) hope that helps!
