Nithin Kamath's Suggestion After Bryan Johnson Walks Out Of Podcast: Can House Price Depend On AQI?
Вставка
- Опубліковано 9 лют 2025
- One particular portion of Nikhil Kamth's podcast has been going viral -- this because American entrepreneur and longevity advocate Bryan Johnson got up and left midway, saying that he was uncomfortable due to the high air pollution levels.
While this drew several reactions on social media... with some calling it a stunt.. most did agree that there's no denying that air pollution is a problem.. and that we seem to have normalised it despite severe health risks from exposure to air pollution, especially over a prolonged period of time.
This led Nithin Kamath, who was also on the podcast to reiterate something that he has said in the past - that real estate prices should be linked to the air quality of where the property is.
This has started a huge debate - watch

I completely agree on what Brian did and says, air quality is a serious issue which most are ignoring today.
For those who say India is not for beginners, it’s time to fix our climate and SAVE India from this crisis!!
Delhi should be governed by both modi and kejriwal with almost honesty dedication by keeping aside their's & party differences then only capital city will improve.
Now after elections results also even if modi bjp comes to power they have to take all other leaders n parties in their stride to improve air quality.
Except few cities, I don't think we need to fix anything. I think he has very sensitive skin which might made this. If he is saying, then what about people living 80 years in India.
No I will comment only
there is no saving. Those who can leave india should leave because india needs a stronger economy more than cleaner air, hence air can never be a priority. Atleast in your lifetime air will not improve.
Indians don't care about clean air
Atleast this concern is receiving some attention owing to Bryan. Thanks dude!
If WFH is given then Metropolitan cities would be 50% more livable.❤ AIR, WATER, LAND❤
As if it that completely solves the issue of air pollution by factory emissions and rampant constructions without green safety net brackets
correct, most of people will move back to their native city and it will reduce the pollution
@@saumitit944 will that solve the issue of air pollution "COMPLETELY" ?
WFH will not only reduce air pollution but also noise pollution.
Yes, this will solve the problem completely. Most people come to the office in giant cars because their colleagues also come in cars.
The Central & State Governments should be held accountable by by the Supreme Court of India for this, since the Public has failed in holding the Government accountable for same, time for the SC to act.
The problem can't be solved by Central or state government only each and every individual of our country has to work towards achieving this goal then only its possible.
Individual lifestyle should be focused and Bryan said US is doing a good job abt AIR QUALITY but US is the biggest contributor for pollution
@@ManmithJain yes in carbon emissions and mainly when it was developing but in india only pm 2.5 and pm 10 is the problem and we are also developing we can less it to 100 but we need strict actions which we know our govt will not do

we always will need a change in India

Thanks to him that he left the podcast.🙏
It helped to raise the concern of air pollution.
Hope government will now take it some serious 😢
Could we still be hopeful? lol.
Great Idea but for that Indians will need to even consider noise and air pollution as pollution. Majority of them just understand water pollution and have an RO. But when it comes to air purifier etc, its alien thing for them.
Noise pollution is also a serious quality of life hampering thing. Congested houses and lesser civic sense on roads and honking/loud music (fun/celebration). Well pointed !!!
Disgusting to see Nikhil and other hosts laughing when he left. With this stupid attitude do you think anything will change in India let alone air.
Most people in India except in high hills even do not know how fresh and clean air feel. Nikhil and others laughing sum of all.
He is totally right. We need to question this ourselves and improve.
It will take 100 years for india to reach anything like this glad thinking has started

As someone who lives in an area where AQI is never over 20, I must say that the difference is palpable when I go to places where AQI is well over 50-60, such as major cities or port/airport areas. How can one pay 100crores for a sea-facing flat when the air quality is deadly.
Network bro
where is AQI below 20 bro?! I would love to live there!
@@The-Celestial Tier 3,4 cities
@@The-CelestialIn Varanasi -BHU , it's 20-30aqi whole year, except some days....
How ? Because
one is demand and
The second is social norm.
Nice to see that the industry leaders are raising their voice against poor air quality
He's right and the man is very spot on his observations of Indians rights as citizens diminished to a point they barely have merely a thought of the dehumanised citizenship they are offered and supressed to neither is there a direct solution in place for the next 70 years
The right to clean air should be a fundamental right
It is already a fundamental right, under Art 21.
ankhon ke samne haze filters ka aadat ho gaya hai india ko. Remove this filter we want HD subscription of life.
Very good. Pollution and remedies on it should be in every political party's manifesto
Not just air pollution we need to fix reputation of dumping ground.
Without banning gutkha and tobacco swach bharat is dream. And its governments responsibility to ban it
For those who think it is only people’s job to keep places clean, you are wrong. It is the government’s job to punish people who make places dirty or spit in public. If the government does not fine or punish them, how can things get better? Public places stay dirty because the government is not doing its job properly. So, in the end, it is the government’s responsibility to keep places clean by taking action.
India has sab chalta hai attitude
India international tourism will take a big hit from this
I think it should.....its very important for our government to make this a priority...while they are still arguing about religion etc
It is our Nation and governments responsibility to provide each resident an environment that is under safe AQI level.
Gummidipoondi in Chennai is the most polluted area in Chennai and is the reason for diseases in Chennai area, but there is no way due to corrupted politicians and officials
If cost as per air quality is done, villages will have highest cost and cities will have lowest😂
Bro had a strong point there 👍
India needs electric vehicles. It would drastically reduce the air pollution. Most Indians can’t afford Teslas but they can afford Chinese EVs. But the Indian government restricts the imports of Chinese EVs. Seems like Indian auto-makers & oil companies are the ones behind this, corrupting the Indian government.
Sounds excellent 😊
# Share karo aur video viral kardo jise janta tak baat puche aur weh jagaruk ho sake 🙏🙏🙏🙏
In short term - government should declare 50% mandatory work from home rule, masks should be made compulsory when AQI touches poor quality, forcing and subsidising factories to install CCUS technology, limiting usage of coal and pushing solar energy (our country is blessed with almost 365 days sunlight)
Its injustice to the people who do not smoke😢 its shocking that 160aqi equals to smoking 3.5cigarettes daily. We delhites are kinda having 7 cigarettes daily without even knowing. The whole India is suffering man its better to live somewhere in japan, indonesia in future.😢😢
Running away is not the solution. We need to make India liveable. Let's work towards that
Bryan's reaction may seem extreme to some inregions like South Asia where air pollution has become a normalized crisis. However, this normalization is exactly the problem. Ignoring these environmental issues is a slow but deadly path, with consequences not just for India but for neighboring countries like Bhutan, Sri Lanka, and Malaysia, which contribute less to pollution but still suffer its impact. It's not just governments or corruption to blame-collectively, we need to break the cycle of inaction. Air pollution is a killer, and apathy may be an even greater one. The time for change is now
Yes prices of property should be linked to Air quality and natural resources.
If air quality index is the main consideration for real estate investment, then all beautiful villages will also become poluted cities in future.
I somehow feel this is a stunt to get traction towards the air quality issue. I might be wrong.
you are 200% wrong
Even if it is a stunt, Nikhil is not involved in it, given he interviewed the prime at the same venue, all he did was bootlicking.
Everyone is talking about the problem but no one is bringing the solution 😢
I love my country , i defend my country, but at the same time we should address our problem . Yes our Air quality is poor in major cities and towns, and we have to deal with it . What bryan johnson did, was an eye opener of us to curb this problem . Don't take it negatively
I have been suffering from allergic rhinitis and so does many I know personally. I blame the Indian government for this.
I am having serious rhinitis leaving in uk and i can't imagine my condition if its worst air quality. Just like we demand good water to drink, we shd also demand good air quality.
Very good , it’s an eye opener for govt and every Indian . India is failing and it needs to take action now or else it will be failed state in future
If proper cleaning done by Bmc on roads and guide line issued to contractor & factories for maintaining work ethic of cleanliness (sure there are enough government officials like indore city has cleanliness) it will help great extent to improve air quality
Price always will play by demand and supply
It is always an issue only when rich and wealthy faces issues, Majority of Indians don't live in these cities.
I AGREE
I fully agree with what Nikhil has suggested. Pollution and food quality should be related to Property and real estate pricing.
AQI is bad but this was not about AQI. This was a show from both sides. BJ knew what AQI in India is b4 he came and NK also got viewership out of this so don't sweat. Everything these days is a show
💯
soo truee💯
This was a 5 star location with AC. BJ he brought his own air filters. But the AC in the room was circulating air from outside and the filters he brought couldn't tackle it. He spends 20crore yearly on his body and you want him to suffer the consequence of air quality?
No I don't think this was just for show...
couldn't agree more. internet there is no way now to know what follows a script and what does not. People also give in to this crap !!
Definitely Air quality of an area or locality must be a deciding factor to the prices of the houses in the area 💯👍🏻
Kinda funny when you see Bryan visiting the very land that has always promoted living one with nature and making sure that we limit any sort of disturbance caused to Mother nature. With the advent of industrialization and at the rapid pace it's happening, it's inevitable. However, a big issue, imho, is population something that isn't talked about a lot. That's the culprit. Nations in the West don't have to deal with population levels in the hundreds of millions. To be honest, when Bharat was divided based upon religion during the fight for independence, those Mleechis should have all been forced to leave for Porkstan. They should leave right now. Bharat is not their country. It would make a world of a difference in India's image and pollution levels.
It's also funny, the Maha Kumbh is happening, and many Gurus and Naga Sadhus that don't look their age teach the world how to live with calmness and ease as well as techniques that allow anyone to reverse aging, perhaps he can visit them. They breath the same air and it's makes zero difference to them. I'm not promoting that air quality be taken lightly, it's very important. We should as people mitigate harm as much as possible, maybe some of us can walk when the time and distance allows, we can bike to and from work when possible, we can also drive smaller cars and consider alternatives like hybrids or EVs.
we're not doing so well for a country that promotes nature in terms of controlling pollution, the mean average for pollution even inside a room with air purifier is 130 maybe come out of your bubble and try comparing us with other countries. If we were this close to nature then living in cities like delhi and mumbai wouldn't be equivalent to somking several cigarettes. just because we're normalised to horrible air dosen't mean that others are too
I really support the BJP gov of India and so I urge Government to take strict action for Air,Water,Soil pollution problems..Otherwise all Indians will be either half dead or full sick or get some kind of autoimmune disorder. Humans need good air to be alive but due to cement, dust gases the Air is becoming becoming so dusty that we can't breath properly.I am mumbaikar so i can tell that here the building ,road etc construction are becoming the biggest problem in Mumbai, the cement, soil, dust is just in the Air every where,Plzz do something plzz, how we will have a healthy body
Absolutely
Same situation Disseminated in Patna, Bihar like Burning sensation in Nose & Eyes

Why did he come to India at first place if pollution was an issue? 😂😂
Ye Nikhil Kamath duniya jahan ki baatein karta hai apne podcast mein lekin ye itna Ameer hai itna influential hai lekin kisi larger good ke liye koi stand kbhi nhi leta

So called Indian Aristocracy
Aankh ke andhe ,Gaanth ke poore😂
1.46 billion people with over 500 people per square kilometre. So the AQ shouldn't surprise anyone.
Everything is normal in india even conditions are miserable and poorly manageable..but log sudharte nhi hai even accept krne se bhi darte hai..
Human basic needs hi bhul chuke hai indian..
Saaf hawa, clean water, saaf road it's just become an ivory tower..
Har jagah noise.. everything is normalised we don't care😢😢😢😢..
All govt parties are willing to promote revady culture and subsidy
Saaf hawa kaun dega, saaf nadiya kab hogi, water drainage kab sahi se hoga..aise banega vikshit bharat..koi puchne waala hai hi nhi..or logo ko kuch padi bhi nhi hai fikr krne ki😞😞😞
Hamare desh mein log roj marre ke Jeevan mein itne busy hai ki basic necessities ke baare mein nahi sochte...unke paas awareness hi nahi...as a citizen we can do the following -
1) Protest to the government, or choose governments who can solve these issues
2) Not dirty the streets, rivers and other natural bodies ourselves, maintain our vehicle so that emission is not at unhealthy levels or get electric vehicles
3) Spread awareness to rest of the people we know. Like koi kachra fek raha toh batana ki mag feko etc. Starting mein log bolenge ki poora desh hi kharab hai etc. But after sometime we will come to their senses and the cycle will continue.
Apart from these things we normal citizens cannot do anything but at least let's do these things first.
Public is mainly responsible for it...maximum income of our govt goes to subsidy and freebies...very less amount of money left for rest of the solutions....unfortunately India has not become a strong economy yet..yes India is growing but not at a high growth...China had these problems but they only worked on these problems when they became powerful on economy...China spend more than 100 bn dollar on just Beijing for pollution control..can India afford it right now...Big no..minimum what India can do is that maximum automobile should be shifted on electric...maximum use of Public transport system and control misuse of horns and keep cities neat and clean....Our private sector should also step up and do whatever they can in their limit...I live in a tier 3 cities but still air quality is poor despite we dont have industry in our cities....
Acharya Prashant ji sahi kehte hai ❤ climate change ka sirf ek hi samadhan hai :- Atmagyan ❤
Just few weeks ago Nithin interviewed PM
But none of his questions about Indian citizens who paying hard money as tax to the Government.
Then builders will start advertising that there is clean air in the area where their project is coming up and people will pay 25% more than market rate for those flats. After possession of the flat, the buyers will realize that the builder fooled them and air quality is just as terrible as in the rest of the city.
This government is still focused on cutting trees or jungles over name of development, they should strict regulations how many construction are allowed in particular areas
Carbon foot print of of sector / city / society should be considered in planning.
Atleast 50% land should be under trees .
#savesoil
Ham to vishwaguru hai. Ye air quality sab ek jumla hai. 15lakh sabke khate ke tarah
It should also be linked with sound pollution.
Its "staged" but "OK" for us normal Indians.
free market decides what value to attribute and what parameters to link. so does not make any sense when he says air quality should be linked
Many Indian cities are better than China's cities when it comes to AQI. Cities like Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad are much better than Chinese cities overall. Of course cities in India and China are not going to be at the level of those of developed nations.
What I don't understand is didn't AQI come up when Bryan had met the Ambanis at Antillia in December? Maybe they have some tech installed that others cannot afford. But wait, aren't we talking about everyone having clean air.
Which city was he in?
So you're telling me my ancestral village property should be priced at 1 Lakh/sq ft?....HELL YESS!!
The room became more toxic because of the two brothers 😂😂
Isn't It looking Weird / Fully Planned?? That He Arrived At Airport -> Walked A While To Get The Car -> BUT! EVERY INCIDENT TOOK PLACE IN BETWEEN THE ONGOING PODCAST!!???
WAS IT ANY KIND OF PLAN TO GET ATTENTION FOR FUTURE BUSINESS PERSPECTIVE IN INDIA!!!!
Real estate prices should be linked to water sources - borewell and tank supply quality - and AQI. Bangalore really needs a reality check to determine appropriate circle rates for each area.
Please come to the roads in Whitefield and see for yourself - there are no footpaths, roads are dusty, and sweepers clean during office hours.
Construction is happening rapidly without proper dust protection measures, causing air pollution.
Long, blaring horns are uniquely common in Bangalore. Can you request the police to implement more zero-tolerance zones at junctions?
Aach kra brian ne
India ki izzat aisi hi dubni chahiye
We are living in uran near Mumbai and surprisingly it's one of the most polluted city in india air quality is worst but no one can see it no mla

Coz no one is facing it
Only common man
School children
Senior citizen have to deal with it who cannot afford air purifier or ac cars like these official....
Should've conducted this meet in Delhi chowrasta
Modiji says, during this podcast the air pollution is not high but the power to tolerate that air quality by people is very low😂😂😂
Nice actibg by the fellow Finfluencers.
I agree that India's airr quality is not good, but such has been the case in all developing countries. As an entrepreneur, he should've mentioned this point and moved out. Roughly 100 years ago the US faced the same problem.
W Bryan
Why someone will sell a house for cheaper? That's pure stupidity. Instead, the valuation should be linked so that govt will be penalized for poor quality air in the locality. Poor air quality = Less tax to the government.
In 1996 Bombay name has been changed to Mumbai but why people keep on saying Bombay Bombay Bombay?
Air quality is an issue. I am sure he was aware about India’s air quality prior to visiting and could have handled it better. I feel the hosts could also do a better job in dealing with the situation at hand. You have to understand Bryan Johnson is trying to do something that has never been done before and he wouldn’t want to risk it. The more they talked about aqi the more anxious he got and then probably freaked out and left. He obviously has to be of a certain obsessive personality in order to achieve his “live forever” goal.
Bryan is correct to some extent.
Yes yes
Yup unfortunately, after destoying up haryana delhi these desis are now destroying our beloved uttarakhand in the name of "development" and soon the builder mafia will colonize the state and we will no longer have clean air. The biggest tragedy for us is that we are surrounded by up delhi and Haryana.
That's the dumbest thing to link real estate property price to AQI.
You can but then you need to re engineer entire infrastructure of all countries and need to time travel 250 - 300 years in history.
The concern is 100% correct but it was all scripted, how did he realised midway of the show that air quality is not good??
Really sad to see ultra rich people laughing climate crises off rather than finding solutions with the resources they have at their disposal. I mean what is the use of blinding making money without a life to live it
And the Oscar goes to Nikhil Kamath 😂😂😂😂....
This was staged as he had talked property prices as per AQI previously too...He wants property as a trading thing which has prices change every season...
India can not achieve AQI of 20 or less as per WHO standards for next 100 years....that's a fact....
People don't not want to give up 15 years old cars and talk about pollution....Want freebies and talk about pollution. ..
That's what you get as FREE AIR 😂😂😂😂😂..
West had same pollution 100 years ago when were going thru industrial revolution....
With this attitude like yours obviously India cannot..... hame solutions dhoondhne hai ki kaise change kare apne desh ko.....let's start spreading the word around even if we are ridiculed in the beginning..let's do something productive from our ends...if we do not do it now our next generation will suffer..so please let's do our part instead of being negative and not doing anything please...
@AmandaFlorance-h8v hey pseudo, I showed you the attitude of people e.g People aren't ready to give up 15 years old cars even....Are you one of them....Start it at your home first and solution will arrive.....
These are facts.....
Crap!!!People start buying apartments or build houses in top floors in search of fresh air but they just can't spread out in tier 2-3 cities!!!
Maybe it was pre-planned.. the kamath brothers have been talking about real estate prices based on aqi
If he walked out of a talk show in Bengaluru 😮 then he will not find place to breathe in India, Bengaluru is one of the clean air cities still and what he did was just bogus
Brian should come to West Hyderabad 😮, which is highly polluted with construction dust.
Maybe he left because someone in the room farted and his AQI meter started beeping then. How else can AQI in a air conditioned room change drastically 😂
its happening in mostly CROWDED city.. just like Delhi, mumbai is turning into it... in few years we will see the same situation will be there in pune... its unavoidable.. everyone must work together... blaming to govt is not going to solve this issue... we should plant more trees... use more and more public transport.. stop destroying hills... stop burning tyres etc . and many more
Tell that to real-estate mafia...
AQ is an issue sure but what's the point of spending so much on longevity if it cannot handle ?
AQI is a serious issue but what was he expecting? 100-120 AQI in a city like mumbai is really good lol
Beijing AQI varies around 50-120, and they do a lot to lower it.
AQI is a big problem but you can't control it that much in a developing nation.
Obviously it shoudl depend on Air, water, electricity, so on
Was it bed bugs
Iam indian and i stand with brian , he is true about indias bad air quality
