Nithin Kamath's Suggestion After Bryan Johnson Walks Out Of Podcast: Can House Price Depend On AQI?

  • One particular portion of Nikhil Kamth's podcast has been going viral -- this because American entrepreneur and longevity advocate Bryan Johnson got up and left midway, saying that he was uncomfortable due to the high air pollution levels.
While this drew several reactions on social media... with some calling it a stunt.. most did agree that there's no denying that air pollution is a problem.. and that we seem to have normalised it despite severe health risks from exposure to air pollution, especially over a prolonged period of time.
This led Nithin Kamath, who was also on the podcast to reiterate something that he has said in the past - that real estate prices should be linked to the air quality of where the property is.
This has started a huge debate - watch

Delhi should be governed by both modi and kejriwal with almost honesty dedication by keeping aside their's & party differences then only capital city will improve.
Now after elections results also even if modi bjp comes to power they have to take all other leaders n parties in their stride to improve air quality.

For those who think it is only people’s job to keep places clean, you are wrong. It is the government’s job to punish people who make places dirty or spit in public. If the government does not fine or punish them, how can things get better? Public places stay dirty because the government is not doing its job properly. So, in the end, it is the government’s responsibility to keep places clean by taking action.

Bryan's reaction may seem extreme to some inregions like South Asia where air pollution has become a normalized crisis. However, this normalization is exactly the problem. Ignoring these environmental issues is a slow but deadly path, with consequences not just for India but for neighboring countries like Bhutan, Sri Lanka, and Malaysia, which contribute less to pollution but still suffer its impact. It's not just governments or corruption to blame-collectively, we need to break the cycle of inaction. Air pollution is a killer, and apathy may be an even greater one. The time for change is now

Kinda funny when you see Bryan visiting the very land that has always promoted living one with nature and making sure that we limit any sort of disturbance caused to Mother nature. With the advent of industrialization and at the rapid pace it's happening, it's inevitable. However, a big issue, imho, is population something that isn't talked about a lot. That's the culprit. Nations in the West don't have to deal with population levels in the hundreds of millions. To be honest, when Bharat was divided based upon religion during the fight for independence, those Mleechis should have all been forced to leave for Porkstan. They should leave right now. Bharat is not their country. It would make a world of a difference in India's image and pollution levels.
It's also funny, the Maha Kumbh is happening, and many Gurus and Naga Sadhus that don't look their age teach the world how to live with calmness and ease as well as techniques that allow anyone to reverse aging, perhaps he can visit them. They breath the same air and it's makes zero difference to them. I'm not promoting that air quality be taken lightly, it's very important. We should as people mitigate harm as much as possible, maybe some of us can walk when the time and distance allows, we can bike to and from work when possible, we can also drive smaller cars and consider alternatives like hybrids or EVs.

we're not doing so well for a country that promotes nature in terms of controlling pollution, the mean average for pollution even inside a room with air purifier is 130 maybe come out of your bubble and try comparing us with other countries. If we were this close to nature then living in cities like delhi and mumbai wouldn't be equivalent to somking several cigarettes. just because we're normalised to horrible air dosen't mean that others are too

Real estate prices should be linked to water sources - borewell and tank supply quality - and AQI. Bangalore really needs a reality check to determine appropriate circle rates for each area.
Please come to the roads in Whitefield and see for yourself - there are no footpaths, roads are dusty, and sweepers clean during office hours.
Construction is happening rapidly without proper dust protection measures, causing air pollution.
Long, blaring horns are uniquely common in Bangalore. Can you request the police to implement more zero-tolerance zones at junctions?

I agree that India's airr quality is not good, but such has been the case in all developing countries. As an entrepreneur, he should've mentioned this point and moved out. Roughly 100 years ago the US faced the same problem.

Why someone will sell a house for cheaper? That's pure stupidity. Instead, the valuation should be linked so that govt will be penalized for poor quality air in the locality. Poor air quality = Less tax to the government.

Air quality is an issue. I am sure he was aware about India’s air quality prior to visiting and could have handled it better. I feel the hosts could also do a better job in dealing with the situation at hand. You have to understand Bryan Johnson is trying to do something that has never been done before and he wouldn’t want to risk it. The more they talked about aqi the more anxious he got and then probably freaked out and left. He obviously has to be of a certain obsessive personality in order to achieve his “live forever” goal.

Yup unfortunately, after destoying up haryana delhi these desis are now destroying our beloved uttarakhand in the name of "development" and soon the builder mafia will colonize the state and we will no longer have clean air. The biggest tragedy for us is that we are surrounded by up delhi and Haryana.

That's the dumbest thing to link real estate property price to AQI.
You can but then you need to re engineer entire infrastructure of all countries and need to time travel 250 - 300 years in history.

And the Oscar goes to Nikhil Kamath 😂😂😂😂....
This was staged as he had talked property prices as per AQI previously too...He wants property as a trading thing which has prices change every season...
India can not achieve AQI of 20 or less as per WHO standards for next 100 years....that's a fact....
People don't not want to give up 15 years old cars and talk about pollution....Want freebies and talk about pollution. ..
That's what you get as FREE AIR 😂😂😂😂😂..
West had same pollution 100 years ago when were going thru industrial revolution....

AQI is a serious issue but what was he expecting? 100-120 AQI in a city like mumbai is really good lol
Beijing AQI varies around 50-120, and they do a lot to lower it.
AQI is a big problem but you can't control it that much in a developing nation.
