I read on another video that the only surviving movie truck (one of two used in the movie) is a 1985 and was stolen, used by drug-runners, seized by Mexican gov., sold back to a guy in So Cal., restored, and appraised at $250,000.
1 year later ... I can't thank you guys enough for your walk-around interview. I guess it was density how we met and It was a lot of fun! I hope you and the community are doing well =)
My first car was a 1984 Toyota X-TRA Cab Truck. I loved that truck and have been a loyal Toyota owner ever since. This truck was my favorite part of the movie.
My favorite tv show back in the 80’s was Taxi. I loved Christopher Lloyd’s character as rev Jim. Then Back to the future hit the cinema and I was just a freshman in high school. I loved that 85 Toyota 4x4 more than the Delorean! I was driving a 66 VW Baja in Omaha Nebraska but dreamt of that truck! I recently put black wheels on my black Tundra to show respect for this iconic truck and to relive my youthful desire in 85.
Hi Philip. This is a replica and I am fully insured incase something happens. Hopefully one day I will have the oprtunity to meet more members from the movie and get them to autograph my hard work and passion. 85 or not :)
Not the right year. Very nice clone truck hopefully he is not representing it as a screen used vehicle. The only screen used truck left is owned by the same guys that own the BTTF 3 Delorean 👍
That is so cool! I currently have a 2017 Tacoma as my daily, but I have a special desire to some day have an 80s SR5 pickup that I can restore to its former glory. They are such awesome, timeless trucks!
The styling on the 80's Toyota trucks is still better than what they've got going on today.

That truck is a beauty. I honestly always wanted a Toyota Truck...now I own a 2012 Tacoma 4x4 Off Road. Great truck.

Oh that's awesome!!!
This gives SR5 owners chills all over!
Had to look it up. I remembered correctly Marty's was a straight axle 85.
What a gem great 4wd takes me back to the days when I had the same exact model years ago hold onto it it's awesome
He was stoked! I love seeing that in people. Nice truck, too!
The roll bar that the KC lights are sitting on has two bars, but in the film on both trucks, there is only one bar! Fun fact?😂😂
The truck in the movie was an 85.
R.L. Natch III and?
Agreed. It was a 85! Not 87!
That is an 87 they remade it for the 2nd and 3rd movie the 1985 toyota was given away after the first movie and then it got totaled
Yes, this truck is an 87. 85's are hard to find under the right condition to do a BTTF restore. I settled with this and went with it.
It was an 85 and a 86
The first one they sold, then they made another one from 86 pickup
Talk about back to the future, it's a 1987 truck from a 1985 movie. Epic!

didn't it have kc light covers in the film?
It had those in BTTF 2, not in the first installment!
Needs SAS to replicate the 85 with the factory solid axle.
You should have made a video about that white range rover it looks insane in that stance
So damn cool. That truck is so hot. Check out that 4x4.
the 22r or 22re are legends machines
Very cool truck! I fell in love with Toyota PU because of that movie.
Toyotas are awesome and reliable, I want a first gen, in gun metal gray, with black rims, and put a 4bt Cummings in it.
Would have been my dream truck in 87...nice.
It's really should have been a 1985 truck
That is a nice truck man damn
HOLY SHIT ! MY DREAM TRUCK
I went wheeling with my buddies last year in my stock height 85. my bro brought his VW bay window out. he had more ground clearance than i did...
Woow beautiful truck old school
So awesome!
I think I saw this truck on Daly City ca bart parking lot I got in love it
The movie truck had larger tires/wheels and was lifted higher. Nice truck here, a few changes and he'll have it right.
Omg that is a nice truck dude .
The '85 was a 22r. I know, I own one with the same Smitty Built bumpers. Every day I get asked if I want to sell.
I wonder how much he has the thing insured for. I would figure that it is a very expensive vehicle and almost historic in nature. So beautiful.
its not even the real movie truck, just a replica that some bloke made.
Not even the correct year.

becco650 but it's not solid axle...
They don't make'em like that anymore.
but the movie truck had a solid front and this has independent front.
Guy in the black tshirt @3:10 is completely star struck
Yes! So wasI!
Overland Bound I can see why! This truck is a classic
nah,just drunk...
I had this same 1985 Tacoma but mind was red.
mrk107 Tacomas weren't there in 1985 though..
I like this truck, that's my favorite.
The one from movie was a give away, and later was totaled
Watsonville! Where was this filmed at, it looks so familiar , but I can't quite pin point it.
Skyline Blvd. Alice's above Woodside.
I've been to that restaurant
Just need a solid axle swap
Not the right year.
Very nice clone truck hopefully he is not representing it as a screen used vehicle.
The only screen used truck left is owned by the same guys that own the BTTF 3 Delorean 👍
I love it
One day…. I hope.
Movie was filmed in 84-85
What place was that?
i have 85 toyota pickup 4x4

I'm kool. I have sr5
That is so cool! I currently have a 2017 Tacoma as my daily, but I have a special desire to some day have an 80s SR5 pickup that I can restore to its former glory. They are such awesome, timeless trucks!
I have my 85,4x4 😌
Anyone know what tube diameter is used for the bumpers?
3”
It was a 1985 SR5
That seemed rushed ?
It was. Lots of loud cars and motorcycles passing by. I/we hope you enjoyed the walk around. I sure the hell did!
What becco650 said!
awesome truck man member #2590 hea
Thanks for watching!
That poor truck has to ride around on the worst tire on the market... darn shame
ummmmmm didn't anyone else notice the HELLCAT!?!?!
No.
Only question: inline 4? Or V6?
*1985
TOY_Lorian :)
It was 2 coats of wax, not 3. go watch the movie again.
85 SR5 was in the movie, nice truck but hardly worth a video lol
