V10s have by far the best "sound", but even in person the noise as a whole is just missing....something. With the exception of the LFA of course.

Does anyone know if there was a BMW M6 GT3 with the V10 engine in the mid/late 2000s? I'd love to hear old footage of that car.

My best guess is that because of the rear wing angle they run for a low drag setup, the end plates on the rear wing disturb the air in such a way that it creates this whistling sound. What do you think @Belgian-Motorsport ?

I dunno man, I think it’s aero related for sure tho. The non EVO version didn’t have this noise
