There’s something really sad about Ash accidentally shooting Fez. He’s doing that to protect him, but ends being the one to hurt him. Blinded by his lifestyle and the need to protect his brother. Sad.
Protect him from what? Their illegal lifestyle that inevitably will land them in prison? If he knew he was gonna die he should’ve spared the cops life and his brothers abdomen and just shot himself
Did he shoot him though? Fez was facing the cops when he got shot. The blood splattered from the front of his abdomen, on his white shirt. If it was from the back it would have hit the black fabric of his blazer. Oh wait you're right lol. He's facing the bathroom. Yep, Ash shot him. :(

He doesn't understand surrender and i don't think he fully understood what was going to happen to himself or Fez, and over all I think he was just scared.

Quick Reality Check on SWAT Tactics. Up until 1:15, Things look pretty solid. Hard fast breach, shock and awe, methodical clearance. I can imagine the officers shouting commands to a corpse that isn't fully visible. Immediately following Ash's initial sequence of shots, the officers would not blindly fire through the bathroom doors and/or wall. There's too high a risk of collateral damage. As they cannot see inside the bathroom, there may be a hostage in there that they certainly do not want to accidentally shoot (great example: sleeping woman) Two scenarios would occur from that point forward: First scenario: They clear the rest of the house as best they can, pull back the bleeding Fez to get him medical attention. Then they would declare a "Barricaded Suspect" situation and pull back to positions that they could use as cover (places where bullets wouldn't be able to penetrate) and attempt to convince Ash to come out peacefully after maybe several hours of waiting. Second scenario: Officers clear the house rest of the house, then wait for additional units to bring in a ballistic shield, maybe a canine unit, crack open that bathroom door, toss a flashbang in there, and try to arrest him. What they absolutely wouldn't do is return automatic fire and stand there in the hallway waiting to catch a bullet through the drywall. They would not send a lone officer down a hall with multiple other uncleared rooms just to open the door as a sacrificial lamb. SWAT officers are trained not to take their focus off of a suspect for situations exactly like what is depicted, where Ash sends a load of buckshot through the officer's clavicle (which realistically wouldn't be stopped by his ballistic plates).
as much as i love this comment, the idiotic producers who make the show lack the wherewithal to understand the bare minimum when it comes to how law enforcement handles raids and you cant blame them for it. they're nothing but spoiled brats
@@codywebb1174No they are good but the scene would definitely not be very good if it was realistic💀💀 You expect the audience to watch a multiple hour scene of the cops trying to get ashtray out of the bathroom, or do you expect them to watch him and a swat team go through multiple rounds of firing at each other😂😂
Also the gun the kid's using is Ruger Mini 14, which is semi auto. Yet when he fires its clearly in full auto, which is totally unrealistic. They probably didn't have any weapons or police consultants, most likely just an armourer.
I can't figure out if Faye pretended to be dead, or if she was on the ground only to be arrested. I noticed she has her hands behind her back, but her eyes moved to see the situation.
this scene genuinely had me traumatized the scene where the red laser is making its way up to his forehead and the look on his face…. my heart just sinks man edit: on God a whole lot of you NEED to stay in school and learn what a hyperbole is. y’all annoy me.
Rest in peace angus you will be missed to consider this was his first acting role he had such a bright future ahead of him I didn’t know he was suffering after his dad passed away my heart breaks for his family and the cast who loved him so much
Honestly, Ash doing that was stupid asf for him. If we look back into season 1, Ash was always super observant. He barely spoke and was able to pick up when shit was about to go down. He never did anything unless Fez and/or his life was in danger. He killed Mousse cause he seen mouse with the gun. He was already to kill Cal because he seen Cal hands were in his pocket and he was acting suspicious. With Custor, he showed no signs of hostility (irritation, yes), but he did nothing to make them feel threaten. So for Ash to do that was honestly very poorly written. They should’ve made Custor get violated so Ash retaliated by killing him (makes more sense in Ash character). Shame on whoever wrote and/or directed Ash death. I’m not about to go back and forth with you all lol. *I* feel Ash killing Custor when he showed no hostility was out of character; that’s all. If you don’t like what I’m saying, keep it pushing.
He probably killed him because he could tell that he was setting them up and he was actually being extremely suspicious lmao especially when he whispered something in Faye's ear and Ash saw, not to mention Custor is the only one who knows about mouse's death so he probably put 2 and 2 together that he would rat them out. Idk thats my guess on why he killed him
Nah. Ash has been becoming more of a loose cannon ever since he killed mouse. The scene with Cal was where this is best shown as Ash kept on hitting Cal after Fez said it was enough. They weren’t running the good cop bad cop routine, Ash was just slowly losing control. Killing someone at age 12 (my best guess) is obviously going to have severe negative effects in ones character. This is what we see in Ash throughout the season. So you are kind of right when you say it’s out of character for Ash but only if you’re talking about S1 as the character started changing once he killed mouse. Try and remember a time in season one where Fez had to calm Ash down (there wasn’t any) but that is almost in all of their scenes together in season 2. So I think that Ash’s eratic and poor decision making were very in character.
The whole point was ash was crazy from being born into drug’s from his mother he was already crazy. Plus he’s going on a new show so they had to kill him off. I think it was his mother being addicted to drugs what ruined his mindset that got him killed
He just was acting in this scene but in his real life now after the scene. He had to watched his father passed away as this little girl in the film. And, after that he injured in the film (acting). But, now he really passed away after watching his father passing away. It must be very painful. 💔 My condolences to the people who have loved him.
I’ve never seen this show but this scene makes me want to. Like 3:58 you can see fez accept his little brothers fate, after shooting the cop, like there was nothing he could do and he was just a lost cause. Intriguing stuff.
The fact that all the officers attention was on Ash and completely ignoring Fez is sort of wild. What if Fez was strapped after he dropped the knife? All of them were just aiming and shooting at the bathroom. What if Fez had a gun and decided to take out another officer or two? No one was paying any attention to him 😐
Bro my guy he was not an active threat, he was actively bleeding to death The second they handled him they probably went to fez to arrest him or whatever
@@zo.mp4 Well he's has a secret role for it. It hasn't been revealed what his role is yet. Not sure if it's a guest starring, recurring or main role yet. I don't know why they would kill off a kid in a popular HBO show like that. This reminds me when Carl Grimes was killed off in The Walking Dead. Carl never even died in the comics. They should of killed off Fezco instead.
@@nayojwilson9895 He said in a interview that he wants to continue acting. I think he wants to do both. Sunny Suljic does both acting & pro skate boarding. He has a upcoming voice acting role from a New God Of War video game!! And he's in a skate boarding movie called Mid-90s released in 2018. I think Javon has a upcoming boxing movie coming out in August 2022.
4:00 Nah but the fact that Fez didn’t like start screaming when he saw the beam point at ash he was just speechless, RIP ASHTRAY😢 you may only be a series character but this hit different, you will be remembered🫡
The dude was shot, losing a lot of blood, had been screaming his head off, realized that Ashtray was dead the minute he shot that cop. It was resignation and despair. Nothing to be done and he realized it mentally on top of being physically unable to keep screaming due to the physical trauma. That’s why towards the end of him saying his name it wasn’t a scream and was low. The dude is fading and literally doesn’t have the capacity to keep screaming.
I think he kinda gave up as soon as Ash actually killed the cop in front of him. He thought the kid was down already, but nothing he could say would’ve saved him after blowing a hole in the offcier
I'm pretty sure people mean the drama. Also drug dealers that give drugs to a bunch of teens do get arrested, and sometimes killed. People do still die when you're in highschool, especially depending on how you live.
Someone else pointed out that he wouldn’t survive in the foster care system, and I get that. He didn’t do school, he only knows this life. If he survived, Fez would try and take the fall, so by dying, Fez can say what really happened and be free. He did this out of fear of the unknown, life without Fez, and he did this to save Fez.
The way Fez cried out his name all the time and then when they shoot Ash he just turns his head away like he was thinking "why didn't you stop" is so sad
Maybe he realized he fucked up . He put them all in that mess and he wanted to take the full blame for it . So he was in there putting a whole target on his back . Or maybe he was just a agressive Little kid . Who knows .
First thing I thought was suicide by cop. I mean, he loves Fez. He doesn’t want him to go to prison. They may not believe a kid did the crime, so the only way to prove he did it was to go crazy and show he’s capable of murder. Basically, because Ashtray died to the cop, Fez will no longer have an incentive to lie and say he killed the guy. He both showed he can murder by killing a cop, that he’s not innocent, and ended his life so Fez can be free.
Honestly, they could really bring ashtray back. They didn’t really show ashtray getting killed. They could play this scene so many ways and show that he got popped in the shoulder instead or anything honestly.
@ yeah honestly I think it would be better that way. They can also flip the scene and show that is actually Fez in the bathroom instead of AshTray and AshTray is the one on the floor looking at Fez in the bathroom they can show their face was high on some drugs on the raidhappened. It’s so many ways to flip it.
I feel like it was more in the perspective of someone else. Everything happening slowly around you, but the one thing you're worried about rushes through your mind. That's just my take. Because I doubt that after a suspect shoots a cop, they'd react so slowly to that. That and since a kill was offscreen, it wasn't meant to happen so fast if nothing was going to happen after that. Builds up anticipation with the pace of certain elements in the scene
I had no idea angus had passed until watching this video and reading the comments. Never watched Euphoria but in all the youtube clips i’ve seen, he was a phenomenal actor.
I feel like Lexi will try to take care of Fezco as best as she can. Talking to her before this was so healing for him it seems. She's beautiful, super normal, smart, kind hearted and was super nice to him, and he her. This is a feral fucking show. Amazing.
he was still a kid man. he had no options once that gun was on him, so i feel like they couldve easily restrained him after that. it was just a little ridiculous an entire SWAT team couldnt get a 13 year old with a gun. get some sheilds or something?? idk the police seamed horribly ill prepared
@@nyct0phile Nah irl the police wouldn't do that raid even remotly like that, they would've either yes used a sheild or thrown in tear gas and forced him out of the bathroom. Also the cop assuming he was dead never would've happend either. Always assume a suspect is a threat if a gun is near them.
This scene is so hard for me to watch. I was Fez's age when my mom had my little brother, and because none of our Dad's where in the picture and my mom had to work I took care of him a lot, even drop out of traditional school to watch him while my mom worked. I still do help my mom co parent 10 years later. It sucks, being responsible for raising a child that you didn't even bring into the world and having to take care of a baby from such a young age, but the bond becomes so strong. Ashtray wasn't just Fez's brother/business partner. That was like his own damn kid. Fez literally raised Ash. Cant imagine what he's going through or how he'll recover next season.
4:05 really confused me how slowly they move to shoot him here without taking the opportunity to tell him to put the gun down after 10 seconds of silence in this moment
This scene had me bawling my eyes out. I have never gotten this emotional from a show or movie in a while, but Euphoria has succeeded in airing a captivating and compelling story I deeply enjoyed. If Season 3 comes out, great. If not, I’m fine with this ending.
Inaccurate depiction of a house raid. No way he would’ve just said “HE’S DOWN” and look away. That kid would’ve been smeared on the bathroom tile before he could blink
I cannot BELIEVE how many of you guys think Ash didn't die lmao, just cause they didn't show a 10 year old's head popping off doesn't mean it didn't happen. It's artistic shot selection, but that doesn't mean it didn't happen x.x

As they cannot see inside the bathroom, there may be a hostage in there that they certainly do not want to accidentally shoot (great example: sleeping woman)
Two scenarios would occur from that point forward:
First scenario: They clear the rest of the house as best they can, pull back the bleeding Fez to get him medical attention.
@@codywebb1174No they are good but the scene would definitely not be very good if it was realistic💀💀 You expect the audience to watch a multiple hour scene of the cops trying to get ashtray out of the bathroom, or do you expect them to watch him and a swat team go through multiple rounds of firing at each other😂😂
@@ABEHEMZ avoid the scene completely, make something more realistic
Also the gun the kid's using is Ruger Mini 14, which is semi auto. Yet when he fires its clearly in full auto, which is totally unrealistic. They probably didn't have any weapons or police consultants, most likely just an armourer.

So I think that Ash’s eratic and poor decision making were very in character.
i can tell you don’t understand that that’s the whole point. if you notice, each time he killed someone it was for less and less reason
The whole point was ash was crazy from being born into drug’s from his mother he was already crazy. Plus he’s going on a new show so they had to kill him off. I think it was his mother being addicted to drugs what ruined his mindset that got him killed
Uhm no, it was fine… idk what you expected to be honest.

The fact that all the officers attention was on Ash and completely ignoring Fez is sort of wild. What if Fez was strapped after he dropped the knife? I saw online that Javon Walton will be in Netflix's Umbrella Academy!! I think that's why he was killed off in the show.
Umbrella Academy is nowhere near the quality/budget of Euphoria. I doubt he'd leave it for that.

The way Fez cried out his name all the time and then when they shoot Ash he just turns his head away like he was thinking "why didn't you stop" is so sad
"He loved him like a brother, and when shit went down...he'd go to war like a brother"
It was a suicide mission. He nearly got his own brother killed and did all of it to take some innocent lives down with him. He got what he deserved.
he should’ve just come out like fez said, why did he keep shooting. he made everything worse for himself.
Maybe he realized he fucked up . He put them all in that mess and he wanted to take the full blame for it . So he was in there putting a whole target on his back . Or maybe he was just a agressive Little kid . Who knows .
@@Scarlitcorpse hopefully an aggressive little kid
First thing I thought was suicide by cop. I mean, he loves Fez. He doesn’t want him to go to prison. They may not believe a kid did the crime, so the only way to prove he did it was to go crazy and show he’s capable of murder.
Basically, because Ashtray died to the cop, Fez will no longer have an incentive to lie and say he killed the guy. He both showed he can murder by killing a cop, that he’s not innocent, and ended his life so Fez can be free.

LMFAO the cop slowly raising his beam to his head 🤣
I feel like it was more in the perspective of someone else. Everything happening slowly around you, but the one thing you're worried about rushes through your mind. That's just my take. Because I doubt that after a suspect shoots a cop, they'd react so slowly to that. That and since a kill was offscreen, it wasn't meant to happen so fast if nothing was going to happen after that. Builds up anticipation with the pace of certain elements in the scene
That was done for dramatic effect really as soon as he dropped the officer he was dropped himself.
