I came to this video after learning Danish for 2 months all by myself and I'm not as confused with pronunciation because I'm already a little bit used to it but I'd say that this is definitely not a good lesson for someone who's trying to learn Danish from scratch because it's just a pile of sounds at this point. Although as a person whose first language has a complicated grammar and lots of confusing rules Danish feels like a pretty easy language to learn
Once upon a time, circa 7th Century, the English spoke a similar language to the Danes, which was Anglo Saxon. The irony is that now only the Danish people would be able to understand Anglo Saxon. Great Channel. Tak. 🇩🇰 💐 🏴

And you might want to add "Jeg vil gerne bede om..." (I would like to kindly ask for.../please) if you want to be polite. The whole "undskyld mig" would only be used if you are interrupting or calling the attention of the waiter. You wouldnt say "Undskyld mig" if the person is next to you ready to serve you
I'm interested in learning Danish, I really find it beautiful ! But I'm French, do you think, as a French native speaker, it'll be really difficult for me to learn Danish ? Even though I'm use to weird pronunciation aha or syllables you don't pronounce and so on...
2 different categories. You speak a romance language, Danish is a Germanic language. There are a few things that are similar to the French language like a few words. But it will mostly be a new language for you. If you know a good amount of English (Which I am assuming do) then you'll get a small headstart since there are many words that are the same in English or similar.
I'm trying to understand or detect a pattern in the numbers so they make sense to me and thus be easier to memorize... There seems to be a pattern, but I don't get it. Can you help me? 50, 70 and 90 start with HALV which is HALF. Does that indicate that they are the half of something? What does -treds -fjerds -fems mean? I find 70 really confusing because it is half-five-s...or at least it seems like that. I don't know if this makes sense.

@@alandavis9558 Yea I've never heard anyone use velbekomme ind the way she uses in the video... It's only ever used to say "Enjoy your food".
@UA-cam, can you add a button to play back to the last silent moment in the video...for learners? Will also be great to detect when the language was changed, so we can play back to the last phrase that is different than English (for videos that use English to explain another language).
6:50 It's not,really not

Det er mega let
These are the best video series on UA-cam for learning Danish. Thanks!
I once knew an Italian whom I taught to pronounce Danish sentences fairly correctly within ten minutes. The vast majority of sounds already exist in English and German.
Its pretty easy to learn danish if you are scandanevic like me. I just love danish not only because of the beautiful language but also because I have relatives from Denmark and I visit them mostly every year
Tak Louise, it is my dream to live in Denmark. It's beautiful in many ways. I am hoping to be able to learn Danish proficiently and be able to live in your wonderful country.
I came to this video after learning Danish for 2 months all by myself and I'm not as confused with pronunciation because I'm already a little bit used to it but I'd say that this is definitely not a good lesson for someone who's trying to learn Danish from scratch because it's just a pile of sounds at this point.
Although as a person whose first language has a complicated grammar and lots of confusing rules Danish feels like a pretty easy language to learn
based on the username you're russian right
Once upon a time, circa 7th Century, the
English spoke a similar language to the Danes, which was Anglo Saxon.
The irony is that now only the Danish people would be able to understand Anglo Saxon.
Great Channel. Tak. 🇩🇰 💐 🏴
it sounds beautiful to my ears when you speak, but i'm native spanish speaker and it is really hard for me to say those phrases? any piece of advice?
I'm moving to Denmark in 8 months.
I thought this was gonna be easier being fluent in 3 languages already hahah
Yea i am from denmark myself. this is good enough to teach people. i undestood it all, correkt accend, Danish itself isent that hard. but the accend is very confusing. i know alot of people are having issues speaking out Æ, Ø and Å. Good work!
Louise is so cute. She seems so positive and nice. ❤️
You really love her insides
I travel to København all the time and this is an absolutely intuitive and amazing video.
me: **doesn't want to do french assignment**
also me: **watches a 20 minute video just because my friend speaks danish**
No one:
Absolutely no one:

The guy who asked:
This woman is so intelligent and amazing!
1:27 Just so ya'll know, most danish ppl don't use the word Goddag. I think most people would use the word "hej", which is kinda pronounced like the english hi
Every human being can light a candle for the dark world of human beings. You teach very beautifully and interestingly. Thank you
I don't know why I'm here.. But it's fun to see my language being explained in some ways.
Same😂😂
Kaere Louise, mange tak. You are a very patient and sympathic teacher. Farvel.
Damn so hard to say those Words with that deep accent
Very nice video. As a swede it is really easy to get going. 95% the same in swedish. It's a thing just to get used to some differences in pronunciation.
I’m a Dane and I laughed so hard at this. Her English accent is exactly how all Danes sound.
facts
I watched the videos. my danish is not really better now, but i'm in love with Louise. I think she hypnotized me 🤣
🤣🤣🤣
Yo fam this was hella easy I learned Danish at the age of 8 months
XD me toi
It's kinda heartwarming to see all these comments talking about how great of a country Denmark is, since we're a small country
pfft, this be popping up in my recommended non-stop.
guess il be learning my own native language in 30 minutes!
Learn Danish in 30 minutes!? Well, good luck with that one.
Greetings from Denmark🙂
I think it takes avg 5yrs to learn danish
Practicing:
Hej, jeg hedder Joel, Hyggeligt at møde dig
Now pronounce it
These Videos are very helpful to me. I have been learning for three years but its always have new materials so I can improve faster.
I think we need a lesson on pronunciation....where and how do you move your mouth to produce these difficult sounds!!?
Basically, Danish is like the Scandinavian version of French and the other way around.
🤨 Hell no
“Learn danish in 30 min”
Me born and lived in Denmark My entire life “ahh yes”
Madam thank you! You are a good teacher.
You wouldn't just say "undskyld, en kaffe tak". In a formal sentence it would be "Unskyld mig, en kaffe tak". Undskyld mig equals Excuse me.
And you might want to add "Jeg vil gerne bede om..." (I would like to kindly ask for.../please) if you want to be polite.
The whole "undskyld mig" would only be used if you are interrupting or calling the attention of the waiter. You wouldnt say "Undskyld mig" if the person is next to you ready to serve you
Spelled out phonetically would be a huge help especially since some letters are pronounced differently in English
I'm interested in learning Danish, I really find it beautiful ! But I'm French, do you think, as a French native speaker, it'll be really difficult for me to learn Danish ? Even though I'm use to weird pronunciation aha or syllables you don't pronounce and so on...
If you understand English it should be fairly easy,at least to read it.Bon Chance.
mike saunders I do, plus I speak German so I gather it’s a mix of both languages isn’t it ?
No offence taken Mon Brave.Bonne Chance.
Yes its close to both,so you'll have no trouble.
I just learned danish in 30 minutes great video!!!!!
You remind me of Kara from Detroit: Become Human.
Thank you for the lesson!
Super easy indeed. Godaften means Good evening! I think I'm ready to learn Swahili.
@Astra start here, habari yako?
Woaw nice video, after 1 minute already I knew Danish?!!
such a beautiful language but difficult to hear differences when words aren't very phonetic.
Beautiful? Wtf
Hej, jeg hedder Maria, jeg kommer fra Danmark. Jeg elsker at snakke med andre folk og da jeg så din video bliv jeg glad.
Hello my name is Maria, i'm from Denmark. I love to talk too other people and when i Saw your video i happy.
When your born in Denmark, and has grown up hearing Danish and speaking Danish for the first then years of your life , but you speak English most of the time, and you read and write better in English than Danish🤣
No-ot exactly correct about the rules when to use what. But it requires that you know the Danish grammar, and the so-called n- or t-words, which are nouns you either get a "en" or a "et" in front of. "de" most often translated to "those", is used when it's plurl, more items together.
Learning Danish with Louise is a shocking experience!!
...and I'm Danish.
For me, Danish Language is very special because Denmark is very least corruption in the world and Danish is very friendly for Filipinos and Indonesians at heart and don’t forget is the famous musician in Denmark was Michael Learns to Rock and White Lion so it was very special easy to learn and chance to meet Danish friends
Am I the only one here who wants to learn Danish just to understand Vic's interviews in her native language?
I just watched "The Rain" on netflix and the Danish language facinated me!
I am Dutch myself and i noticed some english, german and even dutch words. Of course only the pronunciation sounded somewhat like it.
Now watching this i'm baffled how anyone can even speak the language lol
My brain hurts more than it hurts learning Japanese
lol! if yo wanna learn danish just get born in denmark as me! xd :)
@@abdisbedsteven9125 I was born in Denmark, but I left when I was 7 so I forgot the language because I didn’t need to use it :) now I’m sad :(
@@Abztraktz sad! just rember to talk it sometimes
eks. in your home!
@@Abztraktz but too late now :(
Im learning chinese on this channel, so i went to see how hard time people got to learn my own language danish, pretty fun to see. xD
I was born in Denmark and clearly doesn’t need this but i still watch it what is wrong with me
Teach me 😭
Have only mastered "onskool" and "beclaire" so far.
My danish teacher should show us this...I'm icelandic and in school we have to learn danish and I'm having a pretty hard time pronouncing the words correctly😅
Is Danish a mandatory class in Iceland or is it optional?
@@ryan_themeparkenthusiast it's mandatory (geez I dont know how to write this)
Copy the sounds, use the words as symbols for the sound, imply phonetic patterns over time
Thanks katty Perry
🤣😂
