That extra piece of tube is probably an extension so you can run a 26800 or 26980 cell.

I had the astrolux ea01s version of this. it was 11.000 lumens. Is this different version because you showed it is over 12000 lumens output.

Not using a quality cell will cause poor performance. Heat issues can easily be fixed by lowering the output. Thanks for watching!

All types of flashlights when using the highest power, it heats up and drains the battery quickly because 12000 lumens is the highest mm size of the flashlight
