Hey Buddy. Nice video. I’ve kayaked from the 2nd bridge on 377 south back towards town, Junction. I’ve never seen any of that scenery before. Help me understand where I can see that big waterfall and also the natural spring. Thanks. Norman
Interesting side note on the land around the waterfall, my friends family owns the land straight to the right of the falls (if you're looking up stream), it was purchased i believe by coke r Stevenson who was the governor of Texas during ww2 from 41 to 47, kinda cool to think the governor of Texas might have taken a couple breaks during the chaos of ww2 to unwind right there at that waterfall, very special place with a little added texas history to it!
This is some very intriguing history of the area, thanks for sharing with us. Fishing has been up and down for me but I always love the scenery, it's so beautiful.
I know that exact spot that’s at. Worked on the flow ecology of the Guadalupe bass and we just so happened to be lucky enough to get access to that area.
@@tgcanoesandkayaks zoom utail watermelon seed. Only lures I found to consistently catch fish. Also have had luck at the public access next to y’all’s shop on the San Marcos.
@@scotthill5738 Next time I'm out there I'll pick up a pack. The SM River has been the only constant for me this year, patiently for those spring rains!
McCanns, it is flowing 46 CFS on this very day. It will be boney, with maybe some walking involved, until you get to the lake water above the dam at the city park. Expect skinny moving water with little “wall shots” in the bends of the river. All the best to you and yours on the trip!
I’ll probably be swinging by yalls shop late this week, this is the area I primarily kayak but also hit the lakes, is there a pedal kayak y’all have recommend for all that?
Howdy Brett, some of our favorite Peddle kayaks are Jackson Bite FD, Old Town Sportsman 120 PDL, Wilderness Systems Recon 120 HD, and Native Slayer Max 12.5. During this time in the world, it is rare for us to have them in stock as they are in high demand.
I just made my reservation to go there this March I was there last year in august but did not see that waterfall I didn’t go out to far though can you tell me where I can find this spot?

We were out there i think March of 2019, the fishing was excellent! Bites all day long, biggest was a 5 or 6 lb lmb.
And it's still owned by the same family, great people.

Wow that's awesome, it is such a beautiful area! Hope the fishing comes back after the devastating flood a few years ago.
@@tgcanoesandkayaks we went last July and had pretty good success on both the north and south.
@@scotthill5738 Thats good news, what were you throwing if you don't mind me asking?

We are headed to the SP in June looking to do the trip from the SP to Junction. How's the Waterflow down there with all this drought?

What was the start point and finish point if you don’t mine sir. Love the video bro
Put in and take out was at 2nd crossing on 377
Little private oasis there, awesome float. How far did you guys float and how much dragging did you do?
It is wonderful! Total just shy of 6 miles, pulled the kayaks about 6 times or so. River flow was around 75 cfs.
Where was that water fall exact location??
