@@bionic-tale4313 He doesn't strike me as a fight-hungry sort, compared to his fellow Guardians. I suppose his sense of fighting was "as long as it's for a higher power/person I respect", judging by how he treated it as a means to an end... and later on, as a means to evaluate.
From a rank run perspective, Leviathan is the only Armed Phenomena I feel is harder than the Guardians' original forms. Her tackle from across the screen has basically no tell regarding if she'll come in high or low, and her sheer size makes hitting her with a saber difficult given how she moves rather frequently. The best I can do with her is ending the fight quickly. Leviathan really pulls out all the stops here.
Season 1 had a voice clip of Zero's dashing. In the older videos, this had to be inserted manually. Much of the gameplay was recorded in 2016, back when this was still planned, so I dashed very sparingly. I dash much more in recent episodes. I'm just not dashing like a maniac like the "pro" players on UA-cam do. Especially since I have the upgrade that increases running speed.

If we were to rationalize this in terms of story, I'd think the reason your take might use is "Zero has limited boosting fuel, thus he must dash sparingly". -In my personal playthroughs of Zero I like dashing like a mad Maverick just like the pros. Something about the level of control you have even when speeding is just so fun!-
