Hope this helped all you fishing maniacs out there in one way or another.
If you don't play aggressive, its movements are way more difficult to predict - or at least that's how I felt.

just caught this sucker at 28 left on my line...like seriously i rather go through costle tower sealed dungeon a 3rd time then fish PJG
Here's an easy modo for this sucker:
1) Go to options
2) Turn of dialogue
3) Turn on vibrations
4) Pay no attention to UI
5) Hook him up
6) IMPORTANT: Completly let go of R2.
7) Focus on turning the rod accordingly
8) Hold R2 ONLY when your controller doesnt vibrate or vibrates very softly. Let go as soon as it starts vibrating hard.
9) Dont bother with the R2 tapping gimmick. It's a high skill, low reward thing.
9) Dont make guesses after QTE, wait a bit, push the direction and reel in (if the controller doesnt vibrate)
10) Be preapered for its rapid direction changes when below 30% or so
Before I tried this I was constantly losing my line while it was at 50%.
After I tried this I caught him on my second try while still having approx 600 durability left.
Pink Jade Gar is just a very rude reminder that you cant just hamreel the fishes like all the ones you did up to this point.

I see this one is just as a pain to catch as its cousin at the versperpool. These fish are set on fighting you to the death, the Vesper Gar always deals 500-800 damage to my line. Yup, I'm definitely eating that treat that'll lessen the line damage because I really want to complete my collection.

Waleed Shamseldin it is i failed 8 times and on my 9th i caught it but my line was so low if someone blew air on my line it would've snapped
Had 35 on my Dragon Beard line left before capturing this. Lost 3 lures in the process.
They should add this side mini game as trophy.I kinda get addicted to it.
caught it with 516hp on my line left so its definitely doable for everyone with enough luck
