I use one everyday with a 1.4 tip. I run fluid at about 2 and a half turns out and pressure 31 psi or so for a flat finish and all the way down to 24 psi for those chunky peels. Its much easier to control then my sata and sagola.
I love my Bellaria 1.3. Bought it for basecoat but ended up as my dedicated clear gun. From the very first use it was like working with a old friend. I expect it will last a lifetime. I really like how all the caps and tips are interchangeable to convert to a Lph400 ws400 etc. But why would I need to ? It's the Lexus of spray guns.
I've had my bellaria (means beautiful air) for a long time in a 1.4. Love that gun its not even that bad on material. I have it 3 turns out from closed on fluid. What are your settings fluid and fan wise? Suddenly it wasn't spraying the Metallics so nice but still use for every other kind of material. Might just need a rebuild kit.
Great videos! Hey what do you feel like is the best base/clear gun irregardless of money? Do you feel like the W400 sprays better than the lph400? I was thinking of grabbing one of these guns. Thanks for making great videos! Big help
They went up on the price of the classic when the new kiwami came out. I just sold a kiwami because the fan was smaller and it struggled with high solid clear, may be a good base gun but didn’t perform like i thought for clear. The classic is way better but they are over 300$ now
I purchased one about 8 months ago also saw it on the gunman channel like he's said very good well I can't really say that when that's the best one I've used u know what I mean but I guess it only can get better but im loyal that gun has given nothing but satisfaction so I'll probably get another one I've been curious about the tekna dont know y what's ur opinion if uve used one
I love my Bellaria but hey you should do a review on it’s successor,The W400 Kiwami 4.Just bought mine a 1.3 from Japan for a little over $200 shipped and I love it .it sprays base solvent and water very well, sealer and clear sprays nice for me .Very nice all around gun for the price
@@kandyman5315 Check out Pete's Hobbies for a comparison between the Kiwami 4 and the Bellaria. He preferred the Kiwami 4 partially due to superior ergonomics. The Kiwami 4 looks a lot like a Supernova which I think it likely is without the split nozzle.
I have the W400 have not really used it yet but I am an Iwata man would you say this is a fast moving gun and if you don't know anyone that may see this post let me know I also have the purple and silver cap for this gun in a 1.3.
What settings were you using? I got this gun 1 year ago [ paid $500 for it ]and I will be using it tomorrow for the first time. I am NOT finding a lot of info about it on YT as in what psi to spry with spraying basecoat and clear. GunMan says about 2 bars lol as he paints by ear listening to the gun. 2bar is 29psi according to google search. Any advice would be great. Thanks
I have that gun, use it for sealer every day. If it came in 1.2 it would be a better clear and base gun for me. I spray axalta cromax pro. Spray s the top coats too heavy. But it lays down a flawless flat coat of sealer. The other two w400’s on eBay wbx and wb with the split nozzle spray waterbase a lot better. Both come from Japan.
A 1.2 is available for the Bellaria but it also requires a different aircap. Both are available from Spraygunsdirect in England. Problem is the cost of the aircap and the needle/nozzle set is more than the cost of the gun.
Hey kandy man I heard a lot about this gun all good review I went straight on to a ws400 and treated my self and for me this is my favourite gun but I would like to try this w400 out one day thank you for the review as always stay safe
Yes I have had one for years in a 1.4 sprayed and you know what’s funny is my old SW paint rep gave it to me when they put in the Old Sw Ultra 7000 I wanted a LPH 400 but he got me that lol but it turned out to be a great surprise 😬😬
That's true. The reason is the lack of the split nozzle. Iwata can get away with low air pressures on the LPH400LV and to some extent on the Supernova because of the pre-atomization of the split nozzle on these guns. With the Bellaria the aircap has to do all of the atomization by itself so you've got to run it at 29 PSIG to get the performance.
@@kandyman5315 I have a 45 foot long garage that was previously used for refrigeration repair. I have a bay for painting/prep and another for mechanical work and parking. Makes me very happy to finally have adequate space to work right here at home. I have 2 Iwatta 400's 1.3 and 1.4 (lv2) I really don't know the difference in the 400 series as these are the only 2 I have ever used. I do know, they work well for me in my home shop and they were a good investment. I use the Accuspray 3M for all my primer work and LOVE the time I don't spend cleaning out primer guns! I love this thing and I only paid 218.00 for the pps2.0 version! The tips last me thru several sprays. Gun cleaner in a can does the job quick! Once in a while, I will do a small paint repair with it, but I bought it for primers. I can't run out and buy all the new spray guns, but I still like watching the videos on different guns and seeing the results👍 I'm a paint video junkie....
Hey Kandy Man, new subscriber here from the UK and I found your channel from a friend Dean Brown. Anyway I have a Iwata W400 1.3 Classic Bellaria on order and arriving Monday, I know it's an old design but been hearing a lot of good things about them so had to pick one up. I currently use the GTI ProLite and Pro, DV1 base and clear guns and the DV1S and recently picked up a brand new Sata X5500 RP 1.2 I Digital so we will see how W400 holds up against my other guns 🤔🙏👍 John UK
I think you'll really like it. Great gun for the money. It will compete with the best guns out there. Thanks for subscribing. 👊 tell Dean I appreciate the love!
Thanks for the quick reply, I'll let you know how I get on and will tell Dean what you said 🤗 I'll be going through your videos when I can, not sure if it's ok to comment on your old vids🤔 some don't mind but others aren't so keen 👏👍
I’ve been a huge iwata user for about 20yrs but have never owned that one. I have always wanted to add it to my arsenal. Awesome job Kandy man.
Best gun for the money.
Try the new Iwata Kiwami4 it's the updated version of the Bellaria. Same price.

Nice video!!
What was the settings on the gun ..🤔
Are those compliant in the U.S.? Dont think the non Lv w400s are.
I run a lv head and aircap but you are right thanks for your support
Idk maybe I need to mess with it more but I'm not the biggest fan of it. Have had it like 2 years and the fan seems off to me. Fluid and fan open?
Yes wide open fan fluid thanks for watching
Great gun, very versatile. Way to lay it down Kandy man👊
Crazy how cheap and good it is thanks for watching 👊

I spray mine at 25 to 30 psi for sealer or clear wide open fan and fluid hope this helps .
