Fun fact: At the end of every chapter where someone died, Hiromu Arakawa, the author, drew the character(s) that died ascending to heaven. Only person in the whole series who did not get that treatment was Tucker, as the author drew him getting dragged to hell instead.

Fun Fact: The "God, two souls have been returned to you" is referrring to Nina and Alexander as even Scar doesn't recognise what Shou Tucker is as being worthy of rest in the afterlife - admittedly none of us do either, he's the most hated Anime character of all time for what he did to his daughter.

Just a heads up in case you haven’t been told yet - some episodes have end credit scenes. I don’t know the whole list of which episodes have them, but the first one is episode 6. A few aren’t super significant, but there are many that are extremely important and progress the plot.
Sometimes there are large gaps where there aren’t any end scenes but don’t get out of habit of looking for them. They will eventually come back and you don’t want to miss them.
These are all the episodes with scenes after the credits: 6, 8, 28, 29, 30, 32, 33, 36, 40, 42, 43, 44, 46, 48, 49

fun fact about the nina episode: in the manga, after edward beats up shou, shou starts trying to talk again, and alphonse says, ‘mr tucker, if you say another word, i’ll be the next one to snap.’

Quick note even though this is old: Episode 3 and 4 are amazing parallels of each other, one the dangers of Blind Faith the other the horror of unchecked scientific advancement.

When scar said two souls left to go with God he actually mentioned Nina and her dog and not her dad.

Hey I just wanted to tell you that UA-cam's copy right system is very harsh on the original japanese audio and your videos might be taken down, if you upload your videos with the dub audio you'll have a much easier times dealing with copyright issues
OMG FR fmab episode 4 still terrifies me 😭😭 This gave me the same vibe as junpei scene but i watched this first so fmab definitely hit harder and worser. Imagine this is the first shounen that i watched and i got this in episode 4 😂 But this anime is sooo freaking good in every aspect!

thank God she didn't see the original FMA scene with Nina & Alexander's body splattered on an alley wall. I think the original was more gruesome with how Nina died. They cleaned it up a little for FMAB
The 2003 anime is even more disturbing here, including what becomes of Tucker. And that's why I love it.

I hope you watch this carefully. Every line of this show means something and there are so many moving parts to the story it's easy to miss things. This is no doubt the best fictional story ever and you are in for a ride.

Just to clarify, alchemy can't bring people back from the dead. That's why it's such a taboo. Ed and Al know this first hand because they did every calculation to bring back their mother but it resulted in a disfigured creature that died instantly. Loving the reactions so far 😊 can't wait to see the rest.

The first FMA anime gave us more feels in thus due to the build up. We get to enjoy 2 episodes (ep 6 & 7) of nina and alexander before they get fused (ep 7). But still this is always sad to watch.

In real life, there's a mythological woman named Leto. She is the mother of Apollo (the god of the sun) and Artemis (goddess of the moon) with Zeus as the father of those two.
Just imagine this, one episode would it take to make Tucker as the most hated character of all time. You can search in the internet.

The most disturbing anime episode ever!
This show is amazing and you picked up on a lot of clues in the first two episodes that I didn't even notice until re-watching the series. Just so you know the names in the show are based around Germany and other places in Asia, so a lot of the names will be pronounced more like english than japanese, with a few exceptions. I'm glad your reacting to this story and I can't wait to see the next video!

Because the 2003 anime was more in depth in this part of the story, when they did the 2010 remake, they were assuming you have watched the 2003 anime, so thats why, the first few episodes/arcs of Brotherhood are more like a recap. Thats why when i recommend brotherhood i always say that its worth watching the '03 to a certain point and then switch to '10.

I'm glad you started but I think when you're done I think you should watch the other version both are amazing even if they're different So basically the show I'm recommending you is Fullmetal Alchemist 2003 this show is completely anime original they only adapted some stuff from the manga but they usually switched some of the important events up and also adding new scenes in even new episodes in this is because the Manga wasn't done yet and the author gave them permission to do their own take on it their own story and so they were more focused on making their own story that would last for a full season and in the time it was very popular there was even card games and video games as well But let's get into the story and the story is basically a character study on the main protagonist and him accepting that the world is imperfect and unfair it isn't as black-and-white as he first thought the whole story is way more philosophical and thematic and way more mature the main cast gets a lot of development too even some characters represent and embody the main character's guilt, rage, or a different version of them if they went on a different path on their Journey or remained on the same path It also you took inspiration from real life stuff like the Iraq War and this version of the military having parallels with the Nazis and what they did back in ww2 and 03 even tackled a lot of political and religious specs in a realistic way like the after effects of War, propaganda, religious persecution, the director of the series decided to use the Iraq War because in 2003 that has just begun and wanted to add a little bit more realism and even some of the things some characters do mirror real life stuff that happened in the past which is it a big foreshadowing for the end like I said it's very thematic and philosophical And the end is basically an embodiment of the core messages of the story which are that the world is unfair and imperfect but it's all so beautiful and also represents the main characters growth a literal metaphor of growing up leaving the ignorance you had and going to the real random yet beautiful Adult World and even some characters embody these core messages like the main bad guys but in the end it tells us that even if we work hard in some cases we might not get what we want in return or we will get it but not in the way we expected it but you can't simply give up knowing this the world may be flawed but thats what makes it so beautiful no matter what you believe in life is still worth living On top of that the ending is foreshadowed be what the characters believe in and the vehicles they ride in which are things we use to use in history and what the characters believe is exactly what we believe like ghost and aliens but that's just a little bit of foreshadowing It is a story that repeats
A story where a bunch of characters witness horrors and tragedy with their own eyes but still tries to stand up again. It's a story of will a story of moving forward if only just a little even if it's not connected to the manga it's a great ride from start to finish and a great original story sure there are a little bit of flaws like the 4th episode and something that comes later down the line but I'm not going to spoil it overall everything is amazing, greatly hidden foreshadowing, etc I'm so sorry for making a Bible verse

Having watched Full Metal Alchemist... I am now absolutely terrified that something bad is going to happen to another adorable 'fluffy white dog and cute little girl' duo in the form of Bond and Anya in "Spy X Family"... Not helped by the fact that just like Alexander and Nina here, Bond and Anya were both survivors of scientific experiments as well...

I recommend watching this in dub. It's one of the few animes out there that has a better dub than the subs
Man I was gonna watch this but I just can't. It's not the same without the dub. And the bloopers won't feel the same
I see so many people asking for the dub but you miss out on so much (including clues about certain plots), as always there are changes to the original dialogues and I think it's such a shame because you can see how meticulously they chose each word and it's delivery in the original version. Also most of the dub voices are super cringey in my opinion.
