ikr i was watching it thinking this dude is also a great storyteller probably get great views. surprised to see only 4k. way to go this channels creater!
You guys 🙏🏻 It was indeed a lot, LOT of failure 🥲 Actually, it seems like the video is now getting picked up by the algorithm, so let's see where it will take us. (Hope I didn't jinx it, but appreciate transparency more 😅)
Very insightful statement, and very true. The failure part is one that's tough to face, but realizing one's shortcomings is absolutely crucial for growth and for improving.
@@creatorsecrets you're very welcome. Actually this is the first of your videos I watched (it was a on my home page) and I binge watched the other two. I took a number of notes on this one and am thinking about how to incorporate them in a mini-documentary I'm planning for the near future.
Also thanks for including the the act 1,2,3 timeline drawing , extremely helpful. Especially for adhd people like me. Really appreciate all effort you put into this video. Much Respect ✌️
Sorry for the suuuper late reply, just seeing it now! And you're welcome!! I always prefer visuals myself, so I try to incorporate them as much as I can 😄
@@creatorsecrets It's mind-blowing to think of how much effort and dedication goes into vlogging on that level. I do it occasionally and it can take days to edit a couple of hours worth of footage that ultimately makes 01:30 long video, and I don't put nearly the effort that you or Casey do 😀
Casey also says people can forgive a poorly shot video as long as you have a good story, so just do it and you’ll get better as you practice. With that said, keep up the good work.
I really liked your videos, especially masterclass videos. I think you analyzed those creators very detailed. When I check your numbers I was surprised. Your subscriber count and views shouldn't be low. Plase keep up with your amazing work. Good luck. 🍀
Bro.... Seriously keep going, you've building something real here for sure. Just watched a couple of your videos and some really great stuff! Vlogging might be something you don't feel comfortable with, but DO NOT stop building what you're building!
Fantastic video. Storytelling is always a difficult topic to verbalize because it's such a broad concept (there are so many ways of telling a story!) but you did an amazing job with it! Excited to watch more of your videos
Thank you so much! 😃 And I know what you mean! Actually if you look at the Matt D'Avella video I made you'll see how much fun it can be to visualise a good story... just a LOT of work 😅
Haha, Sorry Arbaz! But the real knowledge isn't in my notes, it's in dissecting the videos yourself 😄 Try to pick a few videos and note down every cut: what you see, what is happening and what kind of shot it is. You'll start to see some patterns emerge in no time 🙋🏻♂️
This is a GREAT breakdown, man - and awesome how you illustrated everything you were saying in your shooting / edit. Really good stuff - earned my sub for sure! 👊🏻
I think you should’ve done a portion focusing on how you put this video together as well. It would be meta like Casey but also emphasize how you’re telling a single narrative but doing it in multiple places with different angles and backgrounds
Thanks Yemi! Appreciate it! If I remember correctly I added a screenshot of the channel name at all the parts of that podcast in the video :) It's with Steve-o from jackass 😄
I loved your breakdown and where you got with your skills. This videos was so well put together, engaging and insightful! Well done! May I ask how many hours did you put into it? From script to publish?
Thanks so much! It really took (and still takes) a lot of work to incorporate all this. So really appreciate that you're seeing all the work I put in haha. And hmm, it's been a while but I think with research and everything, it will probably have been 5 full days. 2,5 of preproduction, 1 of filming and 1,5 of post :) Way to long 😂
@@creatorsecrets thank you man! This was a masterpiece, I hope it get more views and more people see it. 5 days of work was a lot, but the reason I asked was because I usually take 1 to 2 days maximum producing a video and It does not get close to this quality, I wanted to know how much more patience and hard work I would have to put. At the end, you have to put in more hours to do something unique. Thanks for the reply, I just watched the podcast about vlogging, I am definitely getting back to the vlogs! Thanks!
Just found your channel. Love the content. I checked out your sub count and was like “is there a K missing at the end?” This channel will blow up the next couple of years :)
Haha, that's the best compliment ever! But no, no K yet, but we're well on our way with amazing people like you passing by the channel 😃 Thanks for the fate Martin 🙏🏻
It’s funny you mentioned an alleyway shot. Unbeknownst to most, NYC literally has almost no alleys. That is very much a Chicago thing. Movies would make one believe otherwise.
Really? That's interesting haha. Here in Ghent, Belgium we got a loooot of small alleys. It's more of a middle ages city plan, so a lot of weird angles between streets and buildings 😅 Still need to make my way to the states!
This video deserves WAAAYYY more views… storytelling, soooo difficult because it comes from repetition, trial & error, and a lot of failure
ditto!
nice work dude!

I mean, this was incredible. It completely adhered to the ideas you were trying to get out and even told a little story in the process. Well done!

The algorithm presented me this gem. You've done your homework and made a great video that keeps people hooked till the end....👌
I'm happy the algorithm got to connect us haha! Thanks for watching and for the awesome words Rick 😃

just curious, what mic do you use? audio is amazing!
Thanks!! As for the mic, I use a mix between the podmic by rode, the wireless go's from rode and the rode ntg... so a lot of Rode 😅 #noad tho haha

Great video! I recognised the place, then you mentioned Gent! I was there when I was 16. Nice one mate.
How awesome! Not a lot of people know this city! Leave alone been there 😄 Thanks for stopping by Adrian!!
Thanx man. Great analysis.
