Wow i have watched compost videos and this is byfar the most direct to the point. No BS, stack it up, leave it alone, turn/fold, when cool add earthworms, then leave it alone for 6+ weeks. Nothing complicated or too much work like the first videos I've seen prior to this. And i enjoyed watching it too!!! Thank you!!!
By FAR the BEST video on compost on UA-cam..WOW..what a great video. Thank you so much..
I love this video more than any other on UA-cam. I love how positive it is, how practical it is. It is like a gentle beloved uncle giving life advice to a dear nephew. It always inspires me when it seems things are going slow on the farm.
Dear Garden Africa, thank you so much from Zambia for this beatiful video. It inspired me to finally start a compost. I layered one in the garden just now and it looks great. It is only 30cm high as we are a two-person household but it will grow. To get it started, I collected kitchen scraps for a few weeks and collected leaves from piles in the street that would have otherwise been burnt!
While collecting kitchen scraps in the garden I was afraid of a cockroach infestation but nothing in that direction happened. Ants and worms and lizzards instantly started to help decompose the waste, and they are all very welcome.
Okay, this is lovely, Swaziland my country.!!!
i recommend this video to every human on Earth-and beyond!
LOVE

Thanks to everyone for these comments. Daaimah Brown - yes, we're currently putting together another two films at the moment. One on homestead planning and design, and the other on propagation. We hope the these are also not only useful, but beautiful and inspirational too.

Nice documentary
Very informative vidio on
Composting. I have also
Had the pleasure of doingthis for
3 years and it has been fun. I do mine just like you do, but it takes mine longer than yours to make.
Must be the worms!!!
It might be the worms - but not always. If yours does not heat up, then it will take longer.
Awesome video! I frickin' loved that shit

I like the method. Can I use this composite in Sweet potato.I calling from Lusaka ,Zambia.
Wow
Vermicomposting saves me thousands on my garbage bill. The other garbage is repurposed or cut up in pieces put in glass jars and used to build walls steps and fix my shed.
Vermicomposting is Indeed the best soil amendment bar none.
Should we use the peels from citrus fruits i.e. oranges, lemons, etc.?
Good
OK. Carbon:Nitogen ; 70:30. Check for heat, Turn every 3 days and keep moist. Ready in 6-8 weeks. Option to make compost tea for growth and antipests.
Turn after 10 sorry

These people wouldn't know compost even if it grew under their toenails.
Wow! Black people working hard, not in line at a grocery store with food stamps and link cards wearing Gucci and Coach with their hair did, and not wanting reparations?! I've never seen this in America!
Thank you!
