    I loved my 13mm for the longest time. Then after my most recent meet last August I've been using the 10mm A7 prong for dead's, sumo pull with very long arms, and I have loved ever since. I was gifted the 10mm SBD and it feels solid so far but it is way stiffer than my 13mm ever was so its taking some more time to get used to but I am still not completely sold on it for sumo. However the 10mm SBD on Conventional feels amazing.

      For sure, I think I've got enough time with it to put out a follow up soon! Keep an eye out for it over the next week or two💪
      That's interesting that you have found the 10mm to be stiffer than the 13mm. I just distinctly remember my 13 mm being such a pain to break in haha But now that it is formed to me, it's just tough to beat. I've really enjoyed using my 10mm for paused squats and deadlifts for sure!

    Im so tempted to order one. My issue is I really like 13mm for squats. So I feel I need to buy both lol.

    I had the 10 mm but someone stole it at the gym so I bought a new one, went with the 13mm. Today was my first session with the 13mm and fresh out of the package, the 10 mm is soo much better. The 13mm felt like getting stabbed, hopefully it feels better after breaking in. I do notice a significant difference in support in the 13 mm, especially on heavy singles in the low bar squat. I hope the 13 starts to feel better on me soon though.

      Give it 6 weeks or so, in my experience the 13mm is much harder to break in but once it does it's much more comfortable while being more supportive too

    My sbd 13mm is not mold like rhat after 7 years of use. However i have seen a lot of people's sbd belts that look like that. Why? Inzer doesn't looks like that after many year's....

    Can you helo me decide? I am 93kgs - 34 pants size, I train hard to failure , 6 to 10 reps however never powerlifting sets, 1,78cm , I believe 10mm will serve me just as good , however I did had a hernia 10 years ago which does not hurt just bothers once in a while. Leaving the fact I shouldn’t squat haha , I want to know if I really would loose some brace with the 10mm . I believe 13mm is more for powerlifting 1-2 reps .

      Thanks for watching and sharing your question! I think I would agree with you that the 10mm would give you a great balance of support while being more comfortable and not needing as long of a break in period as the 13mm so I would go with the 10mm personally unless you are looking for a tiny bit more support for 1rms like you said👍 Hopefully that helps and happy lifting!

    Im 24 yrs old, 6ft tall and ~235lbs, workout consistently for like 2-3 years, trying to down size recently. PR: bench 258 lbs, Squat 334 lbs, DL 408.2 lbs. I am doing push pull legs program from Jeff Nipard. We have low reps + high intensity period for 3 weeks, and also last set of the first exercise (bench + dl + squat) of the day in other periods too. Is there any recommendation to get 10mm or 13mm?

      For most lifters (like the vast vast majority) we will never outgrow the 10mm.

      bigger lifters will probably prefer 13mm; ive gotten 10mm and moved over to a 13mm save yourself the money.

    I know the 10mm is better for deadlifts but do you feel it made your squat weaker? My 13mm lever belt is amazing for squats and I don't want to lose performance

    whats the line counts on your 13 mm. what does it signify?

    • @RodsStrengthTraining

      Great question haha So I put a tally on my belt for every 50 reps of squat that I complete in training (working sets only, not counting warmups). I use it as a reminder of all of the work that I've done over the past 8 years (It dates back to when I started with my coach Bill McCarthy) every time that I put the belt on. Currently at 20,000+ squats marked on there🧱🧱

    If you had to choose one which one would it be?

    • @RodsStrengthTraining
      @RodsStrengthTraining  Рік тому +2

      That's a tough question, and I'm sure I'm biased because I have used my same 13mm belt for so many years.. But I would go with the 13mm, it is more of a pain to break in, but once it's formed to you it feels like the perfect support. The only note that I'd make is that the new buckle on the 10mm is better in every way so I'm hoping that they adapt those for the 13mm too🔥
