Love that both of the new themes are mashed up leitmotifs from scala (kh3) and daybreaktown, you can really hear them the best in the field theme. This piece actually at some parts feels like Omnis Lacrima.
Sounds like a blend of Final Fantasy XV and Mario & Luigi music styles. (Makes sense, since Yoko Shimomura composed both, but it's still interesting how they were mixed together.)
It is insane, INSANE that this woman (Yoko Shimomura) literally cannot miss. Map themes, battle themes, she always always makes them catchy and grandiose for your ears to enjoy headphones or not.
This track reminds me a lot of Blue Nocturne's take on Mary Poppins' battle theme for KH. ua-cam.com/video/9nSYrKOKpHI/v-deo.htmlfeature=shared. And he was always known for predicting the worlds for the next game before they were officially announced lol.
So, a UA-camr is helping to decode the Scala Ad Caelum language, and he's recently discovered a Mary Poppins easter egg within the game lol. ua-cam.com/video/EC6T9oBWPx0/v-deo.htmlfeature=shared
This is so new yet so refreshing for the KH series, amazing soundrack. I hear quite a few similar notes to the Wave Of Darkness from 0.2 BBS. Maybe Aqua or her ancestors have something to do with Scala??? Alright, nevermind. It´s just a similarity, but I bet your hamster we will get the past and the ancestors of our KH cast revealed!
Well the leader of the Baroque Society is a man with blue hair named Nep. Nep being short for Neptune. The greek god of the sea and needless to say, him and Aqua have an UNCANNY resemblance.
This definitely shares the same main melody as the astral plane field theme. Though it's strange that there's a connection between this Scala ad Caelum battle theme and the astral plane field theme, and between the Scala ad Caelum field theme and the astral plane battle theme.
Scala ad Caelum is Stairway to Heaven and the Astral Plane is a Mental Dimension that is implied to be connected to the Final World and the Dreaming (Heaven). it is the cross duality of Existence and Non existence.
@@Fragmentsinfractals488 That could make sense but it's just that normally you'd think the field theme and battle theme of the _same_ world to have related motifs, not "different worlds".
But how different are they? The Scala in Missing Link and the Scala in Xehanort's time are complete different. Perhaps this Scala is very close to where Astral Plane is, and theoretical, is swallowed by the Plane before Young Xehanort comes back. This Scala is "forgotten" like an Unchained Memory (Unchained Realm)@@LightKeyDarkBlade
@@Fragmentsinfractals488 I'm not saying Scala ad Caelum is completely different/separated from the astral plane. My point is that each world has related motifs by crisscrossing their field and battle themes. Let's say we have World X (with field theme "F" and battle theme "B") and World Y (with field theme "f" and battle theme "b"). You'd expect the field and battle themes "FB" (World X) to have related motifs but they seemingly don't. The same goes for "fb" (World Y). In this case rather, the connected motifs are "Fb" (field theme of World X and battle theme of World Y) and "fB" (field theme of World Y and battle theme of World X). It's a crisscross. You get what I'm saying? This has never happened before in the series.
Easily the worst track to come out of this. The instrumentation is incredibly subdued. The song feels restrained, like it's trying so desperately to reach joyous highs it just can't quite reach. And on top of that, there are parts where it sounds like a sea shanty. Which is, a bit odd. Ultimately it just doesn't sound like it fits Scala Ad Caelum at all. Unless this Scala is like, the inferior 0.1 first rough draft of the majestic beautiful city we see in KH3. Like the graphics suggest ... It doesn't really sound like a KH track. Or even a Mario and Luigi RPG track. Plus it's easy to just, forget it after listening to it. While I was expecting the field theme to be a happier reflection of the more depressing scala theme in KH3, sort of a reverse of the 0.2 themes of the princess worlds in the dark realm with leitmotifs of the worlds and the dark world theme weaved together. I was not expecting a happy opposite to Edge Of Existence. But now I wish I did. Music is allowed to be epic and "serious" and still be happy at the same time. Look no further than Hand In Hand or Go For It! Especially Go For It! It has a joyous feel, but it still feels serious and intense. And not overly joyful of a track like say, Working Together. Where Sora and friends aren't really stressed at all, just annoyed there are still Heartless at all. This track lacks intensity and it doesn't sit well with me at all. I really hope there's story justification for it being so lighthearted without umph.
A mix of Beast Castle, Neverland KH1, and a bit of Port Royal
Perfect analysis!
Love how this series is so huge that we can define a new track by using previous tracks and it makes total sense.
I love it
big monstro energy to me

I never realized how much I wanted accordions + waltz as a battle theme in Kingdom Hearts until now
Sounds like it came straight out of KH1
It's a nice little theme but after those first few notes my initial thought was 'alright who ordered the lasagna'.
Spider-Man 2 Pizza Delivery type shit
Instrumentation is super fun!!

then you see Mario and Luigi in Scala.
It's kind of reminiscent of "Destati" at parts.
Except as a (happier) waltz.
Wow, actually true!
It is insane, INSANE that this woman (Yoko Shimomura) literally cannot miss. Map themes, battle themes, she always always makes them catchy and grandiose for your ears to enjoy headphones or not.
She does have a few misses(The 13th dilemma) but her memorable stuff outshines everything

Yk it would fit the vicktorian era vibe they are going for

It has the same rhythm of Hand to Hand mixed with Waltz of the Damned and Pirate’s Gigue
Kingdom hearts is really back 🎉
Love it love it love it . I can’t wait for missing link, but I’m only watching the teams.
Oooooh! The accordions sound so majestic 😄

I love you so much for uploading this
I'm even more excited for Missing Link now, thanks for uploading!
It sounds like FF15 music to me.

Idk why but i love this image of young Xheonort so much who knows what his future role will be
Any chance you can upload the field theme for missions? It`s a slower version of this theme
When I get back home I will try find that on the beta and upload it
