Helldivers: Is the Support DLC worth it?

UPDATE:
The Angel does heal you while you're down on the ground but it is incapable of helping you up. In other words, it'll restore your HP but you still need to spam the "X" button to get back up.
+DeathStalker Synchro Not sure, Have recently been using it, and ofcourse I realise your comment is quite old, but I think it does get you back up now. Can anyone confirm this?
+Timo Cornelissen Yep I just checked, it heals you and if it reaches half your health you get up automatically.

Nice! Reminds me that I made a big blunder at launch thinking the 'Savior' in the Super Citizen edition was the angel. Hoping for a medic warbond in the future. Miss the REP-80 (healing gun) as well

cool vid. when I play with friends, I basically become a full-blown medic from tf2. Got the angel and rep out for maximum HEALING JUICE. I don't upgrade guns much so I'm lacking in the damage department

8 years on and this is still a great video, he manages to be entertaining without being annoying and gets straight to the point plus going over stuff like outfit vibes. I hope he is still doing well.

I Solo a lot too and that Sickle is is one of the most lovingly anti-bug weapons in Helldivers.

1: he accidentally shoots me with flamethrower
2: I get back up
3: call in airstrike
4: when I tell him to wait next to me, he shoots me.
5: he dies from dive bomb
6: I live because I was downed
We really appreciate your efforts for helping beginners like me. But i have a question. Which drone is better, the attack drone or the healing drone? I can only purchase 1 dlc.
Sorry for the late reply, it's been some times since I've played Helldivers but I believe I found the healing drone to be much more useful utility wise. The attack drone was good for keeping little pest like the smaller bugs at bay though.

Hasckor Thanks for the feedback! It's much appreciated. Though, I don't grind too much any more. I think I'm like Lvl 23 nearly 24 but I play much less than before. When the new 'Turning Up the Heat' update drops I'll probably pick up in game time again.
You forgot the healing gun then you are a medic like me.

+Super Sonic Reinerfour Sadly no. They both are backpack stratagems and picking up/equipping one will drop the other.

Where do you get the healing weapon? I thought the support DLC came with it.
Kevin Manrique It's a reward for completing all missions on a one of the lower level planets. I think it may vary by game so there's no telling what planet has it for you. You can navigate through your Galactic Campaign map to find which planet it is. Under each planet's description is the Stratagem reward. Just keep an eye out for the REP-80.
