    It hurt seeing you lose that fish. I’ve lost many salmon here where I live in Alaska. Salmon are stronger fish, tighten your drag and you should be fine. I try not to allow them to take me downstream.

    • @Jodoodman
      @Jodoodman  3 роки тому +4

      Oh I know! I was so crushed. I should not have really let him fight me that much, but I had my drag set all way down. I had no other option to just run down with him. Next time I will try to just drag him to shore and land him

    The Carbon Glaciar is one of the most pristine glaciars and the river is so silty! Look at that. So many Salmon. The salmon run this year was pretty awesome i heard

    Good on ya for trying eggs and beads, I only fish eggs up there. I fished it once this year and hooked 5-6 bobber and eggs. They work if you keep at it and find where they are laying. That hole is good for eggs

    • @Jodoodman
      @Jodoodman  3 роки тому +2

    Hey the way I look at it is if the fish can out power and or out smart us, then they have earned their right to flip us their tail in the rear view. Lol. Good fight though brother.

    Why is the river so dirty?

    • @Jodoodman
      @Jodoodman  3 роки тому +3

      So the Carbon River flows down from the Carbon Glacier. The color comes from the silt erosion from the glacier on the mountain top.

    • @deepseasouza7109
      @deepseasouza7109 3 роки тому

      Glaciar run offs produce some weird looking water at times, and it looks even more funky as it meets the ocean open water
