Hi Mags.. woww...you will be in for a treat with those gladioli display 💜🤍🤍 it's really because i'm impatient and want to see blooms quickly. I've ordered a really pretty gladoli and with those I will probably plant them directly in the soil🥰🥰
My mom used to have these in her garden and the ones she planted towered over my head. They're stunning and you got yourseelf a green thumb for sure 👍💖💞🌼🌼🌼
I'm pretty sure these gorgeous blooms will be beautiful addition to your garden 😍👌healthy corms 🌿👌would love to see them blooming in your beautiful garden 😍👌thanks for sharing friend ☺👍
The reason you should generally plant in odd numbers with most plants in flower beds is due to it looking more natural, if you have two plants here and two there and then four is looks like a human has planted it as our eyes are drawn to even things 😊
Wow the roots are so strong looking, mmm 8 wonder why odd number planting??? Interesting, they are going to look great I agree about the red especially considering all the romantic coloured seeds you got 😁🌷👍
I think its because odd numbers look more natural and unintentional. As for the red ones (once i know which they are) will pot up and give it to mum! They will go to a new home 😃
@@westlondongardener4476 yeah good point, i guess I always think of even numbers as harmony but 3 represents completion, I love 3 😁 but six is my fav wi h is odd but the double of 3...youve given me lots to think about 😁
I've never done well with gladiolus, I planted some years ago and one flowered once. Lol I might move them in a more sunny place as I planted hel before I got a allotment and my gardens tiny with shade.
Hello, thank you for making this excellent video! Why is it that as they grow the first long leaf seems to fall down and look dry? This has happened to all of mine yet the main stalk looks healthy.
Wow your gladiolus are way ahead of mine. If you prefer the pink variety Aldis have 25 bulbs for £.1.49 Pricilla is the name. i don't know if they will turn out the colour shown on the packet though
Ohhh i wish i had got them in the first place....thanks for the tip.....the aldi ones are even better value! What colours did u choose? Was it the pink you mentioned?
You are right red is beautiful....i don't know why i dont want it in the garden 🤣🤣🤣 i think i really like calming colours because i want my garden to be a place of calm.. don't worry once i find out which are red, i will pot them up and give it to my mum! No wastage 🥰🥰
Hi Deborah, how exciting.. so glad to hear you are getting into gardening 💗 I just planted them in compost and kept them indoors and left them on the floor ( no heat mat)...ensure it is watered and they will take off. As it is march now you could also plant the bulbs directly outdoors (depending on your local conditions) too.
Super Good program ❤❤❤❤ Garden
I have planted loads of gladioli this year, mostly in pots. I never thought of starting them early indoors. That's a good tip. All the best. Mags

Wow those roots were amazing!! What a great idea too, I think it’s easier- to visually see where the placements will be

I have always loved gladioli blooms. I hope someday I can plant that plant here in the Philippines.

@@westlondongardener4476 yes pale pink, the inside yellowish. Google the name you can see what they should look like.
@@louiseahmedtropicalplantgr5000 just did...they are dreamy 💗💗💗💗
But the red are beautiful 😷 plant few together especially if you are are to do several colors per holes must be really beautiful.

When you planted these did you put them under a heat mat or just in your window ?
I am new at this.

Thank you but my last frost date is not until June 15 .th .I guess a month before would be ok to start?
