Belcekiz Beach - Fethiye

Belcekiz Beach, located in Ölüdeniz, the popular town of Fethiye, is known as the starting point of boat tours. For this reason, Belcekiz Beach has a very important place for this town. There are many restaurants lined up right in front of Belcekiz Beach, where you can do various water sports. The local people in the Belcekiz region, where the beach is located, make a living from olive cultivation. Belcekiz Beach takes its name from a legend. In ancient times, people on boats and ships came to this region by boat to get drinking water. The son of the captain of one of these ships fell in love with a very beautiful girl named Belcekiz when he went ashore to get water just like the others. The girl too, of course. The boy had to stay on the ship, but they met every time he came to get water. However, one day, the child died in a severe storm. When Belcekiz realized that the child she loved was dead, she committed suicide by jumping off the rocks. Today, the place where the child died is called Ölüdeniz, and this beach is called Belcekiz.
