First posted in March 2010, this review is a re-edited version that loses 2m 5s from it's original running time. This is one of the most extensively recut videos, tightening up the pacing and has numerous cuts to reduce the amount of movie footage featured. (Some of the abrupt cuts were in the original edit of this episode.) In addition, the first part of the movie's history has been completely redone because the original version simply used extended clips from X-Men and X2 (a big no-no, and visually dull), and the audio of the film clips has been significantly boosted. I know I said before I wouldn't re-post episodes by Fox, but I'm going to use this one to see what happens, given the new film coming out. If it suddenly disappears, you know what happened.
It does. It certainly causes less hassle at the upload stage because it doesn't get detected, and many won't go after it if it doesn't. Yeah, sure, there's manual searches, but it helps. Also, it tightens up the pacing of the video, so it's as good an excuse as any. None of the clips are outright removed, they're just shortened, so a shot there, some frames here, and so on.
I should clear up one long-standing complaint, since I saw this one keep popping up on the unofficial version: yes, I am aware that bone claws came from the comics. However, they were not in the film universe previously, and the first X-Men movie implied they had been grafted onto Logan's body during the procedure, it was not something he was born with. Bone claws themselves were an addition made to the comics during the 90s, so it's understandable why the 2000 film a few years later didn't include them. The other point, however, is even as a piece of comics fidelity, I think the idea is silly, mostly because if you grafted metal onto them, they wouldn't look like thin knife-like blades, they'd look like... well, bone-shaped metal. So it creates a glaring logic hole on top of the continuity one in the films. It seems this is the one addition this film made that stuck with all the films afterward, since they also appeared in The Wolverine and Days of Future Past, despite this film being retcon'd out of existence by the latter. Obviously, 2010 Mathew wasn't to know this.
Also how would his bones and claws be so polished have you ever seen an actual black smith at work. I watched Man at Arms and there's a lot of work in make blades you can't just coat something in metal and turn it into a knife.
the bone claws came in a comic after the first x-men movie specifically made for lore for the movie if they did make a wolverine origin story. the comic was called "Origins" and its actually pretty fucking good.
Actually the bone claws were indirectly introduced in 1993 in Marvel Comics Presents #72-84 which was reprinted in the Weapon X paperback. The funny thing is, they kidnap him for the Weapon X program and never do an X-ray of him. They only notice that something is wrong when the machines pour more adamantium into his hands as planned. The reveal of the claws was... brrr... They never explain the shape of the claws in the comic, but still show how they clear paths so unsheathing them would not hurt too much. Great comics with great art and stories.
It's interesting to watch this review in hindsight of the recent X-Men films. Without "X-Men Origins", we wouldn't have "Deadpool" the way as it is (Or "Days of Future Past", for that matter). Without "Deadpool" the way it is, "Logan" probably never would have happened. While "X-Men Origins" is, by far, the worst X-Men film to date, it was ultimately a necessary evil for the greater good of the franchise!
This film 'X-men origins' is a fascinating one, it's extremely polarising. People either seem to love it or absolutely hate it! I thought it was an excellent film, much better than the rest of the x-men shite anyway. Each to their own though I guess.
24:55 The Magneto spinoff was cancelled and elements from that movie were inserted into First Class (which BTW wasn't Singer directed). At least the Deadpool and Wolverine sequels delivered.
Another mistake to mention: The opening title card reads "Northwest Canadian Territories, 1845," even though Canada didn't become a country until 1867, and the Northwest Territories weren't formed until 1870.
Do you think the film would have been any good if it was just about Wolverine and Sabertooth. No Stryker. No Deadpool. No other mutants. No half-assed fanservice. Just their lives as they fight in all these wars. This film feels like three movies spliced into one, if you ask me.
the claws in the other films look more convincing because most of the time they were really there. weather it was a prop or an animatronic. they may have used some cg but not as much as this failure
I downloaded the leaked unfinished file and thought for SURE that was just stand in unfinished CGI. I couldn't believe it was the final product when I saw it later.
In the comics, Wolverine and Sabertooth were not related. The whole "brother" thing was one of the worst aspects ever created in this movie. Also their "brotherly" relationship felt also completely rushed and of course its never mentioned in any other movies
In all fairness, A) the comics spent decades intimating that Sabertooth and Logan had been father and son while his memory was still scrambled, B) the extremely dissapointing comic revelation about Logan's past had his half-brother Dog look pretty much exactly like a young Sabertooth and I don't know if the revelation that he DIDN'T eventually grow up to become Victor Creed had been made at the time of this movie, and C) them being brothers was less dumb than Wolverine's half-brother just somehow looking exactly like a completely unrelated guy that has the exact same powers as Wolverine and who becomes obsessed with Wolverine decades later.
Seann Barbour honey Badgers are more threatening than a wimpy wolverine lol. X-Men has changed how ppl perceive one of nature's dumbest creations next to sloths
In the comics, the Hudsons were considerably younger, found Wolverine in the wild while on a camping trip, and worked for the Canadian government's superhero program, Alpha Flight.
5:18 I'd like to point out the historical inaccuracy this movie makes. Wraith is seen carrying an HK G36K assault rifle, which didn't exist until the 1990's, yet the mission Logan and company partake takes place in the 70's. Edit: I'm a huge gun nerd...
Another thing to point out, Agent Zero uses two stainless Taurus pistols which are also anachronistic since Taurus firearms weren't developed until the 1980's.
To be fair, the comics has the inconsistency about the claws, as well. For a couple decades, they were referred to as bionic implants. The "Weapon X" storyline made mention of an unusual amount of Adamantium going to his hands, but that was all they mentioned. Then they did a storyline where Magneto rips the Adamantium out of Wolverine and in the next issue, we learn they were bone all along, but even Wolverine and people who knew him when he was younger, never knew it. Problem is the bone claws were portrayed as considerably thicker and rounder than the blade-like Adamantium ones ever were.
I do love how bone claws that were previously shown to be mechanical was once considered one of the bigger continuity flaws in the whole X-Men movie series!
This film takes place during the late 70's, according to the fashion along with the tech in the movie and Scott Summers looks to be, in Hollywood terms, about 15 (because in hack writing land Teenagers in High School are always 15 lol). So just say for easiness sake, lets say the movie takes place in 1975, so Summers is 15 and he was born in 1960. So in 2000, when the first X-Men movie was made, Summers is around 40? Also Scott Summers has special Rose Quartz lenses in his glasses, that just look like red tinted sunglasses and those were made especially for him by Professor Xavier. to stop his "Concussive Blast" eye beams from destroying everything he looks at, normal sunglasses would do absolutely nothing. Just like the problems with continuity between all the X-Universe movies the timeline doesn't make sense. Agent Zero is basically a rip off Domino, in the movie, her power is the ability to manipulate probability (luck), her powers allow all of the bullets fired by her to have 100% accuracy practically all of the time and the ability to avoid being hit/injured. In the comics Agent Zero, formerly named Maverick, was German not Asian and his powers were the ability to absorb kinetic energy. For example he can survive falls from great heights and other hits that would normally turn a human into paste. He was also an expert marksman with practically all weaponry (possibly Marvels version of DC's Deadshot with a mutant power) In this movie Agent Zero's powers seem to be literally copied from "Domino". To be honest Wade Wilson, before he became "Dudpool" in the movie, his powers are also somewhat copies of Domino's as well. As both Agent Zero and Wade Wilson seem to be have extreme accuracy as their power set.
Yeah the movie's story is bad, honestly I like the video game's story better. I think it might have been how the original movie was going to be. That or it was just more fan stuff they could throw in.
I don't agree that Logan 'should have been acting like his brother'. IF Marvel took anything from the source material, Logan has been as a wandering samurai, or ronin and he never went looking for a fight, unless he was already in his (now basically over) berserker rages. The essence of [Logan's] character [is] a "failed samurai." To Samurai, duty is all, selfless service the path to their ultimate ambition, death with grace. (Chris Claremont, Wolverine TPB)
I should mention that Tom Rothman's micromanagement style of running 20th Century Fox seems to be the main reason why Rupert Murdoch sold the studio to Disney. With all of the decisions that Film Brain mentioned here as well as his failed attempt to take over Time Warner, lack of support for digital streaming platforms, and aforementioned micromangement style that caused lots of great filmmakers to bail, is it any wonder that Rupert Murdoch wanted to sell the studio? On the plus side, I'm hoping for a canonical Gravity Falls/X-Files crossover.
So an X-Men version of 'it was only a dream'. If that explanation would satisfy you, and not throw your remote at the TV, then you, my friend, have a promising career ahead of you as a motion picture screen writer!
They did manage to make the reference clunkier in Deadpool. Strange though that aside from Origins First Class and Origins Magneto being combined into one movie, they still made all those movies they planned to.
So after this review and the movies you mentioned: The Magneto origin movie became X-Men First Class and the X-Men Origins series was killed after this one film, The Wolverine and Logan came out with both being VASTLY superior to this, Deadpool's movie was extremely faithful, respectful, and successful to the point where it has two sequels, one of which comes out in 4 days and is a part of the MCU, we got a nice sendoff to the original movie timeline with Days of Future Past, a decent movie with X-Men Apocalypse (don't hit me I actually liked it), and then a shitty rushed movie with Dark Phoenix before Fox was bought by Disney and thus Marvel owns the X-Men film rights again, but they released one final movie with The New Mutants before this year releasing a continuation of the 90s cartoon
The thing that annoys me the most is that Wolverine fights for the US in various wars but he’s Canadian. Wouldn’t it make more sense if he fought for the Canadians in World War I and World War II? Also he would have fought against the Americans if they wanted to go as far back as the War of 1812.
8:10 in the comics Logan gets his nickname "Wolverine" by a group of miners for his hard work at digging despite his height when he was a young man. Also the elderly couple in this movie: the Hudsons are way younger in the comics and they're also members of superhero teams.
Number 1 complaint I had before even setting eyes on this crap. How the hell do you make an origin story about a man with amnesia. Even he doesn't even know his own origin! And as far as I know, even in the comics he never got it back!
My biggest issue with this movie is how much of a prequel it is. It tries to set up everything about the original X Trilogy. Seriously, what does Cyclops have to do with this? Why can't we just tell the story of Wolverine?
Most of what you've said in this review but the animantum bullet penetrating his skull has been a rule in the marvel comics animantum breaks animantum and vibranium breaks vibranium
Thank God the Deadpool movies fixed the absolute fuck this movie caused. Even Wade himself used the power of time to kill both his character AND actor! lol
It's kinda interesting you make that correlation because Ryan Reynolds stunt double in this movie IS darth maul . So they ripped it off even more so than what you stated.
Weapon XI's not played by Ray Park, it's Scott Adkins, who has gone on to be a direct-to-video action star in this own right, top-lining the later Universal Soldier films among many other things.
The fact I didn't highlight Adkins is one of those things I wish I caught in retrospect, but he wasn't quite as known when I made this. It's a bit like the times I didn't really point out Chris Pratt or Kevin Hart in some reviews from around this time.
X-Men Origins: Wolverine is 15 years old! It didn't get the best reception from fans and critics despite making $373 million worldwide My late dad still liked Wolverine I remember he said the guy on channel 9 on tv said the movie wasn't good during the first half, but at the second half it got better and by the last half it was the best part It sucks this was deemed by fans and critics to be one of the worst X-Men films in the collection Hugh Jackman's 4th time as Wolverine with him being a producer as well, yet it would be affected by a leaked unfinished cut online before it came out Yes, I know it’s full of cliches, bad effects, and makes the continuity inconsistent Ryan Reynolds had a short part in this movie as Deadpool but the creators really screwed up adapting him in so many ways it was angering especially towards the climax Some might call this a bad Steven Segal movie and Gavin Hood's direction with the script really could use some polishing It stinks this is so short too But my dad and I still liked the character, the performances, and the action sequences I’d rather they give us answers to why he joined the Weapon X program and how he lost his memory rather than no answers at all I really still like Hugh Jackman as Wolverine next to Danny Houston as William Stryker and I also don't mind Liev Schreiber as Victor/Sabertooth (he brings more personality than what Tyler Mane did) Taylor Kitsch doesn't do a bad job as Gambit either, he practically steals the movie Lynn Collins does what she can with the portion of time she has as Kayla Silverfox And the score by Harry Gregson-Williams is intense The whole thing comes across like a dumb anime or cartoon, to be honest none of that really bothered me cause I just took that as the tone of the film Let's face it; there are a lot of people out there who really love this character and there are still nods in this to several other comic storylines Thankfully it wouldn't be the last time Jackman would be playing him even after admitting he wasn't happy with the final product and the video game itself is 10x better being more violent since the character itself is more tailored to it I'm thankful more movies happened afterwards I just imagine it'll be hard to find a replacement with the current state of the MCU having the X-Men now joining the ranks
So if Victor WANTED the bonding process, why didn't they give it to him first? For that matter, Wolverine and Sabertooth have pretty much the same powers, so why did they need Wolverine for Deadpool at all. If anything, Sabertooth has always been shown to be a little stronger than Wolverine.
who would he play though? An overweight wolverine who opens beer cans with his claws, an overweight Cyclops who opens beer cans with his optic blasts, or a bald overweight Professor X who opens beer cans with his telekinesis (or simply brainwashes someone else to open his beer cans for him).
I know this is an old review, but just a friendly correction... Wolverine is not indestructible. He's just really difficult to kill and recovers very quickly. Indestructible would be someone like Superman who's legitimately nigh invulnerable to virtually all forms of physical harm.
it's been years so I can say this now. one last look around, no one here? good. okay. I liked this, wait...I thought I heard something...no. okay. here goes. I liked this movie more than the trilogy. possibly because it focused on Wolverine perhaps because I was never a big X-Men fan (did like the '90s show) and I had no idea who or what Deadpool is. aside from a background in Mortal Kombat II of course. What would it be like to watch it today? hmm...
To be honest, the amnesia bullets make sense. In the real world, sharp diamonds are used to cut other diamonds. So, an adamantium bullet would penetrate adamantium. Also, if he has a healing factor able to regenerate tissue and organ parts, it would make sense for his brain to regrow after a shot to the head, but his memories growing back would make no sense. It would be like regrowing a tatoo. Granted, the amnesia bullets make sense but the rest of the film doesn't.
It never made sense to me that Logan and his brother participated in all those wars in the opening credits. I mean, they're Canadian, why would they fight in the American Civil War?
The claws in the first 3 movies ARE in no way mechanical. They, granted, did a poor job of explaining this, but the adamantium only coated his bones. If the bones were mechanical there would be more of mechanism displayed in the X-ray. However what is quite visible, his bones. His METAL coated bones. If there was a launching system of some sort, they'd show up in the X-ray too.
This was on tv one time. I saw the blob around this scene (15:30) and immediately changed the channel. Ewwwww is right. Also I didn’t even recognize Deadpool.
That moment 20 minutes in when you realise they fucked up Wolverines origin story! I would have rather seen 90 minutes of him and sabre-tooth fights in wars through the ages..
You know when you hate someone soo much that all you do is talk about them....and then you relize with the help from others that you actually love that person??……... that's you with Equilibrium
Imagine a world where we had x men orgins magneto and it was a amazing movie and this was just a fluke, i feel like parts of that movie were spliced into first class
The cyclops thing is inacurate the "blast" you refer to is due to him shutting his eyes or using stuff like special lenses that block the beams. In the first movie it even shows it: In the cartoon in the comics it also states it one of the cartoons goes as far with it saying it is him not being able to fully control his powers due to how he has psionic powers that protect him and control the beams. They don't call it heat vision because the origin of where they are suppose to come from but work the same way and basically project nonstop
Even in the first X-Men film, though, when Cyclops blew the roof off the train station when his visor was knocked off, he didn't set it on fire as well like he does the school in this film.
they have a force behind them unlike a laser which is why they are called blast. BTW not saying your review is bad the movie SUCKS but some nitpicking in it is powers being done properly
If Logan can't be put under ( I'm guessing because of his body temperature) he wouldn't be able to get a buzz from drinking either. I wonder why he keeps buying alcohol ? Just taste amazing
Logan IS a violent guy, but not 24/7 and NOT to innocent people, and he will try to prevent it if he can. I don't know why this was brought up here in this review.
+Shirow, I was thinking, I don't know if you've read it, but Logan's ;origin' in Marvel Comic Presents #72-84 "Weapon X" could have been an amazing story for Logan's first film, and maybe parts of it could have been inserted into the Logan film to remind the audience how he went from 'berserker' to his wandering samurai/ronin' side' to the man he became as Charles showed him, while being on a team caring for his 'family'.

Well, now that Disney is producing flop after flop, maybe they'll sell it and we'll start getting good Star Wars movies again. One can dream.
I love that they give the dumb origin of Wolverine's name...yet it happens before he gets amnesia, so the revealed source is completely pointless.
I take this movie as false memories implanted into Logan, like every other background they have tried to give him.
So an X-Men version of 'it was only a dream'. If that explanation would satisfy you, and not throw your remote at the TV, then you, my friend, have a promising career ahead of you as a motion picture screen writer!
The 'no one kills you but me' is a wonderful cliche. I love it to death.
Hugh Jackman. God bless him for being Wolverine since 2000 till 2017.
Disney65Fan he'll probably make bunch of cameos
Annoying Nerd No he's done.
Disney65Fan g
They did manage to make the reference clunkier in Deadpool.
Strange though that aside from Origins First Class and Origins Magneto being combined into one movie, they still made all those movies they planned to.
What? You mean his name?
You can see me review some of those, there's a whole playlist dedicated to my takes on the Fox X-Men films as they came out.
@@FilmBrain I'm actually kinda excited to see if you do a projector on Deadpool and Wolverine
also thank you so much for replying
The thing that annoys me the most is that Wolverine fights for the US in various wars but he’s Canadian. Wouldn’t it make more sense if he fought for the Canadians in World War I and World War II? Also he would have fought against the Americans if they wanted to go as far back as the War of 1812.
Did you really think that the hacks in Hollywood would get it right?
8:10 in the comics Logan gets his nickname "Wolverine" by a group of miners for his hard work at digging despite his height when he was a young man.
Also the elderly couple in this movie: the Hudsons are way younger in the comics and they're also members of superhero teams.
Number 1 complaint I had before even setting eyes on this crap. How the hell do you make an origin story about a man with amnesia. Even he doesn't even know his own origin! And as far as I know, even in the comics he never got it back!
two words : Implanted Memories.
Deadpool, from the studio which sewed up his f**king mouth the first time' Even fox hates this film
Your reviews are the best! Keep them coming please
WOLVERINES DON'T HOWL AT THE MOON
HOW DO YOU KNOW?!
3:45 Executive Producer: Richard Donner?! As in Superman Richard Donner?
Yep.
Film Brain Please do another crossover with Cinema Snob
My biggest issue with this movie is how much of a prequel it is. It tries to set up everything about the original X Trilogy. Seriously, what does Cyclops have to do with this? Why can't we just tell the story of Wolverine?
"It's like a Steven Segal movie with mutants." XD
Most of what you've said in this review but the animantum bullet penetrating his skull has been a rule in the marvel comics animantum breaks animantum and vibranium breaks vibranium
Thank God the Deadpool movies fixed the absolute fuck this movie caused. Even Wade himself used the power of time to kill both his character AND actor! lol
In fairness regarding Cyclops, it seems the writers at Marvel can't decide if he's got heat vision or concussive blasts either.
Both Jackman and Screivber worked together in Kate & Leopold.Liev was the whacky inventor Stuart bessar while Jackman was Leopold.
“Hey It’s Me Don’t Scratch! Just Cleaning Up The Timelines!”
Sorry, I checked and you are correct. I had heard it was ray park but I was misinformed.
It didn't get the best reception from fans and critics despite making $373 million worldwide
My late dad still liked Wolverine
I remember he said the guy on channel 9 on tv said the movie wasn't good during the first half, but at the second half it got better and by the last half it was the best part
It sucks this was deemed by fans and critics to be one of the worst X-Men films in the collection
Hugh Jackman's 4th time as Wolverine with him being a producer as well, yet it would be affected by a leaked unfinished cut online before it came out
Yes, I know it’s full of cliches, bad effects, and makes the continuity inconsistent
Ryan Reynolds had a short part in this movie as Deadpool but the creators really screwed up adapting him in so many ways it was angering especially towards the climax
Some might call this a bad Steven Segal movie and Gavin Hood's direction with the script really could use some polishing
It stinks this is so short too
But my dad and I still liked the character, the performances, and the action sequences
I’d rather they give us answers to why he joined the Weapon X program and how he lost his memory rather than no answers at all
I really still like Hugh Jackman as Wolverine next to Danny Houston as William Stryker and I also don't mind Liev Schreiber as Victor/Sabertooth (he brings more personality than what Tyler Mane did)
Taylor Kitsch doesn't do a bad job as Gambit either, he practically steals the movie
Lynn Collins does what she can with the portion of time she has as Kayla Silverfox
And the score by Harry Gregson-Williams is intense
The whole thing comes across like a dumb anime or cartoon, to be honest none of that really bothered me cause I just took that as the tone of the film
Let's face it; there are a lot of people out there who really love this character and there are still nods in this to several other comic storylines
Thankfully it wouldn't be the last time Jackman would be playing him even after admitting he wasn't happy with the final product and the video game itself is 10x better being more violent since the character itself is more tailored to it
I'm thankful more movies happened afterwards
I just imagine it'll be hard to find a replacement with the current state of the MCU having the X-Men now joining the ranks
That film made the Deadpool 2016 movie even more legendary.
Film Brain does give us an interesting question of what if an X-Men movie was cheesy action thriller starring Steven Segal be like.
who would he play though? An overweight wolverine who opens beer cans with his claws, an overweight Cyclops who opens beer cans with his optic blasts, or a bald overweight Professor X who opens beer cans with his telekinesis (or simply brainwashes someone else to open his beer cans for him).
Shiirow I'm was talking about before he gained a lot of weight.
Easily the worst of the xmen movies
2009 wasn’t the best year for blockbuster action. Transformers Revenge of the Fallen and Terminator Salvation came out that Summer.
I would rather watch those two than this borefest
I know this is an old review, but just a friendly correction... Wolverine is not indestructible. He's just really difficult to kill and recovers very quickly. Indestructible would be someone like Superman who's legitimately nigh invulnerable to virtually all forms of physical harm.
Now it makes sense on how they killed off the title character in Logan.
What i wantbto know is why logan had pants on when he had the procedure, but when he got out the water he was naked?
Didn't you step-skip that scene like I... I mean... clearly Logan flexes his muscles and rips the pants right off like HULK does to his shirt!
The Blade type bones made no sense , he didnt get his Adamtanium (however spelled.) Blades till much later as Weapon X .
you're right. it is very segal like.
i never realised the star wars parallels either.
the tie in game of this movie is better
it's been years so I can say this now. one last look around, no one here? good.
Granted, the amnesia bullets make sense but the rest of the film doesn't.
i loved this movie.. if you're wondering why, two words: Hugh Jackman
I hate the movie, but I like Hugh Jackman in it xD Or as I liked to call him, Huge Jacked Man.
The tie in game was better
I've decided not to watch this film - your honest review has persuaded me 😂
" he looks more egg than man ". Brilliant
It never made sense to me that Logan and his brother participated in all those wars in the opening credits. I mean, they're Canadian, why would they fight in the American Civil War?
Pedro Vigil Jr 😅I don’t know
Why are they fighting for the american army in world war 2? The Canadian army was involved to and even landed in Normandy
@@tommyhill7645 hmm wait they’re CANADIAN?!
Wolverine may be violent but I don't think they've ever portrayed him as a war criminal well besides desertion I guess.
X-Men Origins - Jimmy
This was on tv one time. I saw the blob around this scene (15:30) and immediately changed the channel. Ewwwww is right.
Also I didn’t even recognize Deadpool.
That moment 20 minutes in when you realise they fucked up Wolverines origin story! I would have rather seen 90 minutes of him and sabre-tooth fights in wars through the ages..
Whats the difference between heat vision and concussive blasts?
Concussive blasts are a beam of energy, whereas heat vision burns through, hence why Cyclops's beams in this movie (incorrectly) leave a fire trail.
Thanks for answering Film Brain
the claws became mechanical after the operation man
You know when you hate someone soo much that all you do is talk about them....and then you relize with the help from others that you actually love that person??……...
that's you with Equilibrium
I remember liking this movie when I first saw it. In retrospect though, yeah it's shit.
So what happened to the mom in the opening?
after hearing about the backlash I heard ryan reynolds refuses to do another comic book movie. good job wolverine origins.
I like X-Men Origins: Wolverine
Imagine a world where we had x men orgins magneto and it was a amazing movie and this was just a fluke, i feel like parts of that movie were spliced into first class
You need to do a "where are they now" uodate to this. Unless I haven't gotten to it yet!
I have sort of come back to it, in that I reviewed Logan and the Deadpool movies on release.
Even in the first X-Men film, though, when Cyclops blew the roof off the train station when his visor was knocked off, he didn't set it on fire as well like he does the school in this film.
diffrent materials
He consistently sets things on fire, in this film, though, even things that wouldn't ignite, like the windows Stryker's snipers are behind.
his blast are the the equivalent of a laser he gets from another dimension
they have a force behind them unlike a laser which is why they are called blast. BTW not saying your review is bad the movie SUCKS but some nitpicking in it is powers being done properly
Oh, the Cyclops stuff gets MUCH more convoluted come First Class and Havoc's introduction.
Is it just me, or do they never manage to make Cyclops interesting in the films?
Funny how the Magneto movie would then get swallowed up with the First Class film.
It's funny that out of all of those movies, it was the Magneto origin that didn't get made
actually it did. its called first class
mickeyd343 X Men First Class
What's the name if the guitar riff at 13:41?
It's from the soundtrack of the Pierce Brosnan film Live Wire, which I reviewed a few episodes later.
Thanks.
I just noticed he said "Wouldn't that make him 40?" when he was born in the 1800's...... So...... No....
That's about Cyclops.
Found this video when searching for the video game review.
24:45 Oh, how wrong you would be.
If Logan can't be put under ( I'm guessing because of his body temperature) he wouldn't be able to get a buzz from drinking either. I wonder why he keeps buying alcohol ? Just taste amazing
Imagine if they made a Jubilee origin
And their was a animated series
i think bone claws were in the comic but that doesn't mean it makes sense.
SO at what point does Mcavoy turn into Stewart.
Pelcogo after Xmen apocalypse, I'd say 2010+
2010? apocalypse is in the 80's
Is it just me or does Danny Huston look like Kiefer Sutherland?
Plagiarizing Star Wars? No one has manopoly over a scene sequence. It's completely legit.
Logan IS a violent guy, but not 24/7 and NOT to innocent people, and he will try to prevent it if he can. I don't know why this was brought up here in this review.
I know, he isnt normally violent all the time, its only when angered to the point of his "berserker nature" to take over.
Sorry what?
All of the X Men films have opening credits (except for First Class).
I he meant that they usually show just the title at the front and have the 'title sequence' just before the end credits instead,
Only good thing about this is it gave us Logan and the Deadpool movies
also Hughs sexy buns
The bone claws were just incredibly stupid, and if I being honest, kind of nasty.
I thought it was pretty bad as a kid
Realised its completley terrible as an adult
