- In this video we unboxed a new Magicband 2.0 for use at the Walt Disney World Resort. We show how the magic band fits and how to remove the center icon and place it in other Magicband accessories. The Magicband 2.0 acts as your Walt Disney World tickets, room key, charge card, and photopass.

I love you and Jen! I just recently moved to south Florida and always lived in Orlando, went to the parks almost twice a week with my boyfriend and we miss it sooooo much. We live through you guys when you go to the parks!! And I'm so excited for these bands!! We are receiving them for our trip in February for our hotel at the port Orleans riverside!
spot on review. Got my magicband 2.0 (purple too) in the mail the other day, for my trip in a couple weeks. I was surprised just how much bigger it was from our 1.0 bands. I love the convenience of the magicbands as a regular guest. But the grumpy in me figured they made it bigger so it will drive you crazy having it on your wrist, and you will just have to get a lanyard. And if you've got a lanyard, then you'll want pins on your lanyard, and then...

Wow, the Ashley Brown and Josh Strickland performance at EPCOT Festival of the Arts is incredible! The best of Disney there and you can really see why "Let It Go" is complicated for singers who are not theater trained.

Also, I don't really mind if Disney tracks my movement in the parks. If it helps them add to my experience, such as with the digital poster, then I'm cool with that. That sort of thing has never really bothered me. :)

The cloud thing is the tree of life and on the other side is spaceship earth. So all the park icons are on the band! Looks cool!

I just purchased my annual passes in December 26 and ordered my complimentary magic bands online and when I customized them on the website, they were showing the old magic bands and which colors to choose from and upon arrival 10 days later we got the new 2.0 magic bands. I chose red and it's AWESOME!! I was expecting the previous model.
Just got my Disney pass yesterday! I ordered my magicband yesterday and I hope I get it before I head back to Hollywood studios before this weekend!!!!! 😀😀😀😀

Dolly World. ~ 2005 visit offered a bracelet to track kids while in their water park. You could go to any map and find your kids assigned number when you enter it into the keyboard...My child has special needs and he tended to wander off while in the pools. Saved me my sanity while he was in it with hundreds of other short people having the time of their lives.
Thats a nice magic band. I hope they make necklaces that i can put mine on next time i go.

I think the "cloud thing" was the tree of life and I think on the other side it also had a rendering of spaceship earth, so all four park icons on the band 😇

If you are a passholder, it will also hold your hotel reservations if you make any and will work as a room key (but they will still give you new bands if you want them with your hotel reservation).
The "cloud thing" is the top part of the Tree of Life from animal kingdom. The ball on the other end where Mickey is, is Epcot. The sorcerers hat is for Hollywood studios and then the castle is MK.
They still have a good amount of the 45th 2.0 Bands! I was there yesterday (1/13/17) there were a lot at the Emporium and at the Big Top Store in Storybook
That little logo thing at 0:15 made me happy and sad at the same time seeing the little halo above Armani (sorry if i spelled it wrong)

We were wanting to know the same thing about the magic bands and tracking.When we were eating lunch at Be Our Guest. We thought it was interesting how they knew where we were sitting to bring our food out without us having any type of number for our table or without having a hostess. The only thing we could think of was it had to be our bands.
We just used our AP magic band 2.0s for the first time this weekend and liked them. They definitely are easier to use than the 1.0s....we were able to unlock our doors, get into the parks and do everything else on the first try.....sometimes it would take multiple tries for the 1.0 to line up right. Even though they are bigger, i don't mind the size at all; I never noticed it being uncomfortable and I liked that it was flatter than the 1.0. I don't know as though I'd ever take the middle part out but it's cool that you can do so if you wanted to. Overall I'm a fan!
I honestly don't think it's a problem to be followed around. It helps understand when you come to the park, which ones you like more, places you like to eat, rides you prefer. It's a great tool for the park to know what they need to do to make your visit better.
Like if they find that a lot more people single and family are eating cheaply and rarely go to other things then they know we have to lower the price or add something that will bring them in.
I don't know if someone already said that, but B magicbands are the limited release ones (2017, christmas...) and A magicbands are the regular ones that have a design, that's why the solid color ones don't have A or B on the box! :)
Also, about the photo, the cameras inside attractions will connect to your magicband wirelessly and send the picture to your account (in about 24 hours), most people don't know that because Disney doesn't say it, but I think it might be written in the attractions photopass card (not sure, though)
I found a Valentine's Day magic band 2 at the store at space mountain and found the 45th at a few stores on Friday

I found out that when you buy a keychain in the park in comes with a little screwdriver which is cool!

Considering that they have found children that have been separated from their parents in WDW property, I have to say that the "tracking" that Disney is doing is totally fine by me. Honestly, Disney does not care where you are. They are just making it easier and more enjoyable for you.
I just got mine in the mail the other day as a resort guest. They are a lot lighter than the 1.0
I like the 2.0 better than the first one. It doesn't come as far out the back as the other one.

Oh, no! There is a halo over one of the dogs that wasn't there before! So, so sad. I'm very sorry for your loss, Tim and Jenn. I am assuming it is Armani. Hugs to you both.

I was just in the park tonight and bought the MK 45 anniversary 2.0 magic band my my annual pass I came down to 27 and change.
I believe I heard on the magic weekly that the accessories for the new magic bands, like a keychain for example, should include a small screwdriver to move the icon from one to the other.
I've got the same band, found it much more lightweight than the 1.0 version. Only thing I found bad (possibly just for me as I've a narrow wrist) is it doesn't sit flat to my wrist like the old one did. However I love it and can't wait till my visit in October :)

I agree with everyone else about the halo over Armani is a great touch.
Vail Resorts has been tracking people on their mountains for around 6 years now. It's a bit intrusive and I really don't care how many vertical feet I get, but it could be cool around Disney World. We know it's coming so let's just dive in, maybe? But don't forget about Skynet. That's real.
Disney Company is the marketing GOD of this universe. If they can figure a way to separate you and your money, they will. Genius!

Right? We didn't even know that there was pics on 7 Dwarfs. So we didn't scan our bands at he end. Today reviewing our pics I see pics and videos on Seven Dwarfs Mine Ride. We had the original bands on this trip.
the B on the back is for pricing. the old magic bands are A and the B are the 2.0. I noticed that when looking at them in the store.

Universal should do that so if you are part of UOAP then you can wear your band instead of losing you pass or even for UOAP and Express passes on a band for Universal.
At Epcot there's a red lady and the tramp Valentine's Day 2017 2.0 magic band available.
