I really like the way you detail your rural/farming areas with the small clusters of either low density housing or occasionally industry. With the retextured fields and treelines it's soo nice and varied.
If you check your production tab, you'll see you’re pretty much exporting all the raw materials (grain, veggies, etc) you’re producing. And then you’re importing an absolute ton of manufactured goods, including those pesky beverages. That tells me you don't have enough processing to turn your own raw materials into manufactured goods. In other words, you need a ton of industry, my friend. And you’ll probably need to meddle with industry taxes to get it going. As for the lack of workers, I'd say zoning low rent houses and low density residential should help. Problems aside, great episode! It always a joy watching your builds 😊😊
Hi Mr Gamer ! As always s/o for your fantastic region, its very visually appealing and its by far my fav region on my UA-cam field You can import "poorly educated people" from the outside world by making transport connexion between your borders and your industries (by bus or train, i know you dont want to have Air traffic) so they can WORK in your companies without living outside your region. Thats kinda sad and cynic but as is the real life Also, your city is huge and the only import connexion is your harbor (with only one road), maybe try to have more import hub (transit trains stations / harbor) and more connexion with outside word so you can resolve your pricy beverage problem and still plop whatever the hell you want in your city. Companies that produce beverage usually need industrial building that have big pipes and chimneys, that why you don't have any in your city (you don't like how they look) Also if you plan to zone : yes you don't want to lower the taxes, but maybe you can lower taxes on specific industries that you dont have to attract the companies that you want, and when your finish building you can raise thoses taxes like the others industries. But yes, no need to lower the commercials taxes, it won't help resolve the problem, just hide the notification TLDR : make more outside connexion with your cargo harbor & fret train, make more harbors / routes
You're correct about the grain & carrot farming. You need some big farms. You also need the "FARMING ZONES" mod. It's two & you can only use one. I use the first one. Then plop down 4x6 & 8x6. Go in both production tabs & drop taxes on beverages, grain & carrots to 5% or lower. Check the farms that you plop down for beverage production. Let the game just run for a few hours. The more beverage farms the better.
you should explore UK low density residentials they are small in size, very unique and have more capacity maybe this can make a impact on your population growth.
38:37 To create a less-educated population in Cities: Skylines 2: - Limit Schools: Build fewer schools or place them far from residential zones. - Reduce Education Budget: Lower funding to reduce school capacity. - Focus on Industry: Zone generic industry and avoid offices. - Restrict Libraries: Avoid building libraries, which raise education levels. - Minimize Transport to Schools: Don’t connect schools to public transit.
Hey sanctum gamer, this build was really beautiful. I really liked the way you detailed your farming areas with the low density housing and occasional industries. And about the beverages or any other materials, you need to have the related farms and industries, surrounded by single homes and low rent housings in that area, that’ll probably resolve the issue. I do have an idea for you about this. How about you build a small historical town (of around 5000-7000 population) nearby this farming area/ farm-land that's like made near a gas station with a small shopping strip mall and a motel by the highway, where drivers generally stay for a night. The town would have like a medium sized industrial area which will serve the nearby farms. This would be a pedestrian green town for the most parts that has the aesthetics of an old 19th century town. When you enter the town you’d see a water tower. The main street of the town would have mixed use buildings from the new UK, Germany and French pack. This town would mostly have old buildings and a part where there are some new and contemporary buildings. But the main city center would have old buildings. There would be some motels and country hotels in the town. You can use corner buildings from German and French pack and the Pubs from UK pack for the main street. Although there wouldn’t be any high rise buildings but some occasional medium density housing apartments from the new regional packs would look good and most parts of the town would have single housing and low rent housing from the regional packs. For the older parts you can use German and French buildings and for the modern parts you can use UK and some buildings from Urban Promenades. There would be only bus service (local bus station from modern architecture) for the town, no subways. The town would be connected with other cities by trains and bus services. This town would have schools and community colleges that look 19th century or look like small town educational building. Although there would be a technical university (from the modern architecture pack) in the newer part of the town. The main tourist attraction of the town would be an old vineyard with a 5 star hotel that’s near a hilly area looking over the whole town. I guess I’m going a little bit specific but yeah, some of the service buildings from the new UK, French, Germany, Urban Promenades and modern Architecture would look great for the town. And for the signature buildings: The French city hall(this one would suit the small town aesethetics), au coin de la bouteille, le carre gastronomique, folies bergere, maison des savoirs numerriques, German central Station (this would actually look immaculate), DE Department Corner building, DE Department row building, UK Morrissey's supermarket, UK parish church, UK executive mansion, Citizen service center.
You should first set up some special buildings related to beverages that will help the zoned industry to produce beverages. And also the island you connected to main land doesn't look that natural, you should separate them with a small stream or creek of water from the main land.
I swear there is a beverage bug from something. Mod or base game, I dunno. I get the same issues now with beverage supplies and I never got them before.
Hi, super video as always. You might check your schooling tab. Maybe Colossal Order changed the way education worked. And as everyone has maxed the primary school cause of the huge demand, everyone is educated in the city. And for the beverages, it a bug. Other creators have the same problem.

Thank you so much for the tips 👍
I really excited to see the city will expand more and keep the series going

Thanks for tips. I appreciate them very much 👍
for beverages you need to lower taxes for specific industry type like beverages. for no labor. low rent zonning will do
Thank you for the tips 👍

This mod doesn't work and it broke my saves, don't listen to this guy

Thanks, will definitely do that!

That’s a really detailed idea, thanks for sharing! I’ll keep it in mind.
Looks pretty realistic and good, well done!
Thank you very much!
You also need forest, ore and oil industries, just farms isn't enough for supplying your city
Noted. Will be building more of those types of industries soon.
Amazing detail i like environmental rural designs
Thank you, I'm glad you like the rural elements of the build.
Awww, i really liked the sunnyside industry. I dont really know why, i could never put my finger on it but yeah, ioved it.
I'm sorry 😅
to gain labor, you must add more people, then positions will fill up and then you can start zoning in the industry
Noted. Thanks for sharing.
You should first set up some special buildings related to beverages that will help the zoned industry to produce beverages.

Hmm, that's interesting. Thanks for sharing that
Man, these drinks are getting way to expensive these days
😂😂
i think you locked every farm+ oil field+ Mining sides, this why farms+ etc. can't generate more supply
Good catch, thanks for pointing that out! I've unlocked them all now 😊
at 31:45 you'are building farms on a non-fertile site
Oh, didn't even realize. Will fix that. Thanks
You need way more industry, dude. You need factories to manufacture your own goods. And more suburban, poorly-educated households.
Noted. Will definitely be building more.
Hi, super video as always. You might check your schooling tab. Maybe Colossal Order changed the way education worked. And as everyone has maxed the primary school cause of the huge demand, everyone is educated in the city.
And for the beverages, it a bug. Other creators have the same problem.
Noted, I'll check out the education and look into the beverage bugs.
❤❤❤
8:43 Promenades is a French word, you should pronounce it prome-NAH-des
Nahhh prom eh nards
Thanks 👍
Which of the two new packs (modern architecture and urban promenades) do you think is more worth getting?
Haven't explored the Urban Promenades yet so can't say. I'd think both are worth it, but ask me again in about a weeks time?
how about the airport, my friend?
Yeah, I think it will soon be time for it.
It is best to build the airport as far away from downtown as possible
@@kaunghtainwin5681 the downton and especially the whole city were already in a decent state to have an international airport
