I wish they did a test of relatedness for the first case, the resemblance is very strong. They could still be family.
Exactly. They’re probably still related because mom was involved with potential dad’s relative.

1st case - WOW!!! That young man looks so much like the older man, I could have sworn they were Dad & son!!! I'm totally shocked!!!
2nd case - I appreciate how the baby's Mom doesn't use unnecessary money for extra nails, hair, eye lashes, etc, & uses what she has for her son even if sis has to fill in the gaps. As for the potential Dad, his Aunt needs to quit speaking up when the Judge asks him a question! If he's old enough to make a baby, he's old enough to talk for himself.
3rd case - The dude is trying out for a part in the next show going on at his local theater back home. He can't stand still or shut up!!!

That was a point in the almost father's story. They were a group of 4 experimenting, him, a cousin, the mom and another girl.

2nd case: They don't want to acknowledge his failure to show up to court because that's forcing them to put all of the blame on him. You can get rides to almost anywhere in the US. There are all kinds of uber, cab, bus, bikes, transportation services to use that excuse. Somebody told him that if he doesn't show up court, they can't take the test and he couldn't be held accountable if they can't take the test. That's why the Judge told him, he's listening to the wrong people.

Case 1. How does a 13 yr old girl with both parents in the house end up pregnant? And, they are talking about it as if it happened in 1920 when truly people were naïve. Cooper and Newby at 12 or 13 should have not been playing with each and the parents failed them.

The first case is a perfect example of a child having a child. I hope everything works out for them. The second case, I’m glad he’s the Dad but if you had so much doubt you should’ve shown up to court in the first place. The last dude is so immature. Glad the kid has another father figure in his life to show him how to be a man.

There are plenty of women just like the woman in the first case from her generation that did not do what she did when they got pregnant at a young age. I feel really sorry for her son he deserved better.
In that 2nd case, Auntie needs to shut up! I understand she feels strongly, but her nephew is a grown man playing grown man games. Let the process play out and be quiet because she wasn’t in the bed with them. And for all that yapping she’s doing, she couldn’t give her nephew a ride to court? Make it make sense!

It kinda bugs me that they do these conception calculations by just subtracting 40 weeks from the day of birth. Only a very small portion of people have the child on the date they're told. It can be literally weeks either side which changes everything
That's why the judge talks about the "window of conception."
I agree and they also don’t ask if the baby was early or what week they were born. I had one born at 35 weeks and two at 38 weeks. I don’t know anyone who had their kid within a week of their actual due date so it’s weird no one ever says anything about that

@@stryder2009 I think it is sort of related because as much as the system is at fault for these technicalities, there are humans in those seats at the court room. By him not going, he has completely missed his opportunity to plead his case to the court.
Even if the child is not his, his failure to appear in court has probably denied him any sympathy and depending on where they are from (especially if the custody courts are ruthless and unforgiving) he may be sent out the door with: “you should have come to court the first time.”
If he showed up it wouldn't be an issue. By not showing up he wasted the justice system's time, but wants the justice system to spend time on him.

You’re looking at it through your modern day tech eyes. She’s 48 and I’m younger than her so I know what those old people were like plus were didn’t have something but a house phone. Pagers were like high school, the huge cell phones and the internet were few. We don’t give grace to each other for anything. She’s trying and gets no credit. So cold
