Love your channel, learned a lot from you guys, keep it up! I would love to see hoy you set up your tables: The playmats you use, how you make the hills, etc. You have the best terrain of any battletech youtube channel i've seen.
Thank you! Really appreciate the positive vibes 🙂 We have a few terrain and set up videos in our Hobby playlist - but check this out for table setup: ua-cam.com/video/REa5kuppBro/v-deo.html
@@DeathfromAboveWargaming Oh, and I really appreciate the honesty. Just the fact that they send a note saying if there is imperfections they will replace kind of irks me. They should be checking out the quality before they send. Thats and 30+ days shipping and off prints kind of gives me red flags. And I understand that they're very inexpensive products but I can find someone local for that quality. Again, I honestly appreciate your product reviews and honesty rather than taking a buck from them and hyping their products.
I randomly stumbled upon some of their scenery on Amazon along with some stuff by another company called EnderToys. I added a bunch of terrain to my shopping list and was planning to do a big order in a few weeks. Based on this review, I think I'll temper my expectations and my order size to something a bit more reasonable. Also, thanks for confirming how the Z scale stuff sizes with the Battlemechs, because I was also looking at some N scale pieces. Once again, Aaron saves the day. Thanks man!
I have several pieces from them. I just purchased their new abandoned buildings in Z scale which make perfect bombed out buildings for BattleTech. The sculpting quality of these is very good, and I somehow received them in a week, when every other shipment from them has taken a month. I have ordered from them 4 or 5 times and had no issues whatsoever.
Great video! I like the battlereps which have urban enviroment,so I can see what kind of tactics are used .The buildings and other things add so much to the look of your battlefield.
They have an official website now but I'm glad you did this review. I had been eyeballing some of their things for some time. This video has definitely helped me consider what options are worth getting from them.
Thanks man! So these I did no texture paint, just different shades etc and drybrushing to give it that look. On bigger stuff, Rustoleum makes a “multicolor texture” or something similar that works well. You do need to prime it first though - to save a step, just prime in the base color you want (gray, brown, tan, etc!)
Depending on how inexpensive, this has me thinking about using them for ruins/rubble scatter terrain. It can be a bit mangled because I'm just going to mangle it more.
They are talking about building structures and buildings with giant 3D printers in the future anyway so 500-1500 years in the future, we might actully see this to some degree with the striations in structure
Good point! I saw some cool stuff about hypothetical plans for landing giant 3D printers on Mars to build a habitat before humans arrive for colonization.
Thanks for the review! I really like when you do reviews for the terrain and mats. I’m sure the price makes these a good deal but for all the repairs you’ve said you had to make, I think I’ll have to pass.
What annoys me the most about the terrain is that they are clearly using 0.14 layer heigh. If they uses 0.08 or 0.04 you could have sworn it was resin terrain. And 7$ for 3 buildings that are FDM for that layer height is tefth, honest to god oppinion.
For 7$ you should get 5-7 terrain pieces of that size, not 3. And with no visible layer lines, and instructions how to make them dissaper if in some case you get some.
so many sci fi TV shows are filmed in a rock quarry, it seems like that is the most common terrain in the universe.

I love and appreciate your reviews. However, this gives me little confidence to order from them, and that in itself is appreciated.
Just giving a fair review! If you want a mass of cheap and slightly imperfect terrain, this is a great option!

I do agree with the QC 100%. I like their designs but like, charge me another 3 bucks and make sure it’s right out of the gate.
Nice review! I appreciate hearing the pros and cons. You're going to need to do a video showing how you get your rusted/weathered paints.
I will put it on the list!

Glad to help!!
Excellent, honest assessment. I am glad though to now have a 3d printer for such terrain.
Lucky!

Its cheeep and while its not like WOAH TOP NOTCH it is nice decoration to add to the table for sure.
I like the weathering effects to your paint jobs on these! What do you use for use for the textures?

Out here in the middle of the USA, there is new construction that looks retro.
lol well played

Haha perfect

Man, would be great if those guys had a bit more of the military vibe, some of em would work for more industrial areas of bases etc...
True story!

Does anyone use the titanicus terrain from GW?
