Strange jamming on CB channel 1 26.965mhz (10/31/22)

- Been hearing this noise nonstop on channel 1 for two days now.. I'm in Atlantic Canada but the signal is likely from the northeast US. Sounds like some sort of jamming to me but I have no idea who's doing it or why. If anyone has an idea please comment. Also, this does not only happen on my base radio, my mobile's been picking it up all over town as well.
(The voices in the background are from a marine radio scanning the band)

There's more and more cases of weird transmissions on CB popping up.

What the hell am I hearing, sounds like a telephone ringer malfunctioning. Ringing constantly lol.
Some great DX is happening now and it will only get better. Do you have a CB that has SSB? there is a lot of global DX in and around channel 38 LSB
I have two, but unfortunately neither of them work, transmit and receive are dead on both. I've acquired quite a few radios though my job, and while some of them are in perfect working condition, most of them are AM-only. Those SSB radios are pretty rare down where I am, and when they do pop up the asking price is usually pretty high. I have wanted one for quite a while though, just waiting for one to be listed on Kijiji that isn't super expensive or too far away.
@@RedLink27 I hear you. Perhaps you might be better off sending one of your SSB's to a repair technician. Are there any good techs in NB?
I will check and see if I have a decent SSB mobile if you are interested. I can send you one for a small fee and shipping. I may be short on mics though. Let me know.
@@Tobinindustrial I've searched around a bit but there doesn't really seem to be anyone reputable anywhere in Atlantic Canada. At least, no one that can be easily found online. I'm sure there are some old timers out there that could do it but don't advertise. Other than that I think there are a few guys out in Ontario that work on CBs. Just haven't gotten around to contacting anyone yet.
@@Tobinindustrial I know my buddy's grandfather used to work on them but he's in his 80s and I don't think he does any kind of repair jobs anymore
