Duop Reath? I like it! the fact that he's an aussie and we haven't had one of those since big Baynesy. He reminds me of Myles Turner, 3pt shooter/rim protector. doesn't have as much upside as Queta but he'd definitely fit Mazzula ball
I liked duop reath in the offseason but since all our bigs returned, theres no need for him. The need is a wing for that last slot. IMO if we are getting a big, it should be an upgrade (like walker kessler) and neemi should be traded out as well.
Celtics forcing other teams to play their game (Celtics') every time they face Boston. Yahoo Sports (Vincent Goowill) discussed this last week after the win vs the Bucks. Boston are forcing them to commit mistakes by mirroring their game. Case in point was the Giannis 3 point attempt in the last seconds.
I have a couple questions. When the trade time comes, can the Celtics cut Springer to shed his salary? Or does it still stay on the books? Another question is Lonnie Walker signed at the deadline by the Celtics? Or does his Euro league contract make that impossible?
Non of those names excite me with the exception of yabu but I don’t see the Sixers looking to make us stronger especially for springer considering they already had him lol
I dont think any of the names are meant to excite at that roster spot/salary point. With that said, there are more, better names out there. The top 5 from my own list: 1. toumani camara 2. noah clowney 3. jalen wilson 4. keon ellis 5. amir coffey honorable mention: jonathan mogbo
If anything we should look for a wing. We are stacked at the center position. We are stacked at the guard position. We don’t have much back up wings that are ready now besides Sam.
Hey jack, when we got porzingis i remember you posted a video of 'diary of a wimpy kid' auditions with past centers pasted onto the kids heads. I still think about it and laugh about it but havent been able to re-find it. I dont suppose you or anyone has a link? 🙏
Jack, I don’t understand what you see in X. I thought at first maybe he was decent but since I haven’t seen any flashes of anything good in the small minutes he’s gotten this year. I don’t know if his knees have anything to do with it but at his age, do we really need prone project piece?a very low percentage from even though his form looks halfway decent. I just don’t see him getting the reps or the run in Boston to get that shot down. He has been virtually unplayable. You can’t be that short as a center and not be able to shoot. And he struggles to the rim. Not to mention he looks, out of shape and a step Slow.
Theres more than enough candidates for that bench wing slot (the old brissy role) out there that fits under springer's contract. Yabu IMO is a stupid target because Philly aint taking back springer. Here's a list of 12 wings i'd go after (add picks as needed): jonathan mogbo (tor) torrey craig (chi) dalen terry (chi) johnny furphy (ind) ben sheppard (ind) noah clowney (nets) jalen wilson (nets) keon ellis (sac) brice sensabaugh (uta) johnny juzang (uta) toumani camara (por) amir coffey (lac) I think torrey craig is the most realistic here and yeah Brad should definitely go after 1 of these guys. I consider most of these guys as clearly better than springer at a lower cost. trendon watford was on my list last year but has fallen off due to meh performance this year.
If the Cs are trading Springer, a Springer for Kyle Filipowski is not a bad idea. Some would say go for Walker Kessler if it's a trade with Utah but he just has such a high value that financially, it won't work done the line. Filipowski is under contract for the next 3-4 years and could take Al's place if he does retire after this year. Sure, Peterson is a viable option, but if the Cs want to build for the future, Filipowski is a good option.
I think Lonnie Walker could be a good fit. If the Celtics asked him to play a very specific role, I think it might take a month or two but his work ethic impeccable. I think he would be able to pick up the system and I think he would flourish with all the open books he would get . With such a defined role, I wonder if he could become a better defender because he’d have more energy to devote to that side of the ball. Has Lonnie Walker ever been on a team with good culture? The nets did not have that I know he was with the Lakers, but, I mean that’s kind of different with Ron I guess. But I’m curious if it’s even possible to get him because of his contract with zalgiris Period and also can we cut Springer at the deadline to shave his salary or does he still stay on the books? Couldn’t we just cut and pick up Lonnie? They seemed very interested in him. 2 times Now. They were clearly trying to make something happen because they did not cut him with everyone else. They waited till the last minute and I don’t know why they would do that unless they were trying to make something happen. Trying to move. springer. If they were trying to move springer and we’re unsuccessful, can you cut him at the deadline and bring back Lonnie that way? Or do we have to find someone to take Springer? If we have to find someone to take Springer, it is going to be hard because he hasn’t logged more than five minutes this year.
I don’t know man. Like Peterson is good, but I don’t know if he’s NBA ready. He is too skinny. He’s had a couple bad outings in the G league. In the NBA have been fine. I’m curious if that continues. I’m not ready to sign him to it, long-term, I’d like to see him put some weight on. I think they could wait to sign Peterson next year. And get a wing as a rental for this year. Pearson is close, but I don’t think he’s there yet. Delano Banton was 6‘7“ and playing really well. I feel like we traded him to bring in springer. But we probably could’ve had him for a Minimum before he broke out in Portland. But yeah, I personally think we need a wing. If Peterson can get in the gym a lot and put on some Size I would consider signing him, but I think bringing in a wing on a minimum that can shoot and play a little defense would really help the jays
speaking about incidental contact, everyone remembers last season's in-season tournament where Jalen Brown "didn't get fouled" against Indiana late. Hield makes contact with the back of Brown's head but no foul even on instant replay, the dumbest ruling i have seen in all my years watching bball. You have to be able to play defence without fouling, if you make contact its a foul, simple as that. (Yes i'm still pissed about that call)

I heard FTTF call him Drew-P. I agree with Jack- that feels like the best option for the full roster spot.
Great vid brother! ☘️
@ thanks Lakes! More to come
Damnit sam, you're right. I absolutely do want to do all those things.

I couldn’t agree more with the idea that we have to take swings on the cheap contracts. That how Kornet and Hauser panned out.

Or even Jaylen Brown for Marcus Smart + Luke Kennard + Brandon Clarke + Jay Huff and a pick or 2
Torrey Craig? He's only at 2.8M. I was thinking Nic Batum as well, but he is at 4.6M who would be a great vet and third option.
Let me introduce u to Noah clowney

If I was Brad I would go after yabusele 💯
Trade Payton Pritchard for onyeka
Trade that Jaylen Browns insane contract for Desmond Bane and bring Marcus back
Go to jail
