Just a little bit more info on the situation, Vellmori, the artist that was under fire, was the CUTSCENE artist. She wasn't the person drawing the art for the IDs, the artist for the Ishmael that the DC Insider users (the people that were upset) got upset about was a guy. It's very difficult to parse through all the information if you aren't in the korean community because PM (mostly CEO Kim Jihoon) was not being very transparent about things for a while, which I mean fair, sort it out first because this is a korean social outlook issue and the rest of the world doesn't need to get involved. The story as a whole with what we know now (The Welvader video is a bit outdated) supposedly goes: DC Insider users are upset over Molar Boatworks Ishmael's design, so they decide to go to the extreme and call it feminism. The artist that designed her is male, so instead they turned their attention to Vellmori since she'd be an easier target. They dig up old radical feminist tweets from Vellmori (which were faked apparently?) to draw fire onto PM through Vellmori. They enter HQ uninvited as a group calling themselves "The Reverberation Ensemble" (a Library of Ruina reference) and effectively interrogate and intimidate employees. Vellmori decided to resign, and for a moment of time everyone thought she was FIRED which she wasn't. I think she was given compensation over it cause it wasn't her fault, the horny & toxic aggressors in the situation targeted her because they were upset, Vellmori wasn't even responsible for the thing they were upset about.

If you don't want to play Library of Ruina, that's really fine. The difficulty spikes are *vertical* . What I do heavily recommend is watching the cutscene compilation/s. They're ridiculously long, but this story *must* be experienced. You, too, must know about Love Town, and never speak about it.

I only saw it watching that video but at 16:48 in meursault promo video,the "today,I killed mother,or maybe it was yesterday" is a reference to a french book from a very know french writter named Albert Camus,in is first book named "the stranger",the first line is "Today,mother died,or maybe it was yesterday". Considering it is show in the game by some clue he is french thats a very well placed reference,and I’m sure others character have clue like that in their promo
You'll understand the character promos more if you understand some of the books and the character from the books or stories that share the same name. Im the most familiar with Ishmael and Sinclair from their respective books Moby dick and Damian the story of Emile Sinclair's youth since I have read both.
Ok, I haven't watched the full video yet, but 5 minutes in and it's already full of *so* much misinformation that I'm sure what you are watching was made when we had zero infonon what was going on. To explain, a bunch of incels went into PM offices to protest over Ishmael's summer unit being fully covered (even when PM games have non of that kid of fanservice), while complaining that Sinclair wearing a choker was some kind of feminist propaganda, using one of Velmori's (the artist, but not the *character designer*) old twitters as 'evidence' that she was or is part of an extremist feminist group over in Korea. Completely disregarding the fact that the actual artist of both pics is a guy. One of the reason the entire thing blow up was because PM actually fired Velmori over it (though later info says it wasn't over the controversy), and their radio silence for over a month just made rumors and speculations make everything worse, not helped by the protesters sharing misinformation on purpose (a plan they stupidly posted in a *public forum*). This entire thing was given a resolution just recently when PM finally posted a twitter explaining how things went down and concluding with them saying they gave Velmori 2 years of salary as compensation for the personal attack by those idiots after firing her. Not that some people are satisfied with it and want to stir some more controversy.
Welvader's video was made a few days after the infamous "KR only announcement". and yeah that 1 month of silence made it worse. can't go by a single twitter post without someone saying "Remove the CEO".

Also, the director of the youth union pretty much admitted on twitter that PM did nothing wrong, but since he knows everyone is gonna clown on him, he is puffing his chest and saying that they will still support the user association, which are even bigger clowns and the ones that leaked the document that made PM expose the youth association in the first place, so both of them are looking ridiculous at the moment, and they have no ground to attack PM or the director
