Limbus Company is a really fun game and has an INTENSE story. Just finished chapter 1 and it was incredible! The game is gacha but honestly doesn't feel like one. There are modes in the game that allow you to grind shards to trade for identities (alters of the ops) and EGOs (more less an ultimate that has different skills and passives) Also the game is VA with Korean so if you don't want you don't have to read on stream lol kinda like people do with Honkai
So far you can grind them 3 x per weeks ( before 5x per week, tho sum up rewards are the same now, they made it faster) Shards u can farm everyday are to tier any rarity character u want/ ego to tier 3 so you don't need dupes. You will have fun with 3-22 boss xD

Somewhere between based and cringe. Solidus, if you will. His works are somewhat bizarre. Fun fact: he spent so much time at home that japanese law enforcement (SK was occupied by Japan at the time) thought he was doing something shady behind the scenes. He got arrested, but they found nothing and sent him to a hospital afterwards. Unfortunately, that's where he died later from tuberculosis.

Plays and comic puppet theatre loosely based on this legend were popular throughout Germany in the 16th century, often reducing Faust and Mephistopheles to figures of vulgar fun. The best part about this gacha, imo, is the fact that no ID is unviable. Even the base IDs are useful, it's just a matter of knowing who to use and when. A full 3 star party in Ch. 3 will likely get you killed, if we're being honest.

YES, IT'S FINALLY OUT! Funny that you got weirded out by Hong Lu the most, when he's arguably the most 'innocent' one amongst the Sinners (The playable characters). His comment about Dante/the MC's head is because Dante is the character with a literal clock for a head.
One thing I haven't seen anyone comment on yet is that the difficulty curve in this game is incredibly steep, as with all Project Moon games. That shit do go up
I see people already explaining it in the comments, but just to clarify: In this gacha you don't roll for new characters. You are given all the characters from these trailers for free, and what is in the gacha for you to roll for is Identities (basically Alters) of those same characters, which are a "what if" from another timeline in which that character was born in another district, joined another faction or in general had their life changed in some other way. To explain in Arknights terms, the gacha characters here are to the ftp versions what Skalter is to Skadi. It would be also like if Arknights gave you a Thorns for free, and what you actually could roll for in the gacha are things like Abyssal Hunter Thorns, Thorns if he had joined Reunion instead, Rhine Labs Thorns, and so on and so forth.
With the attacks shown off at the end of each character promo you need to know that those are so called EGO weapons. In context to the story, EGO is basically a manifestation of the heart and mind, something like a Jojo stand or Persona so each one is different. In this game they serve as sort of a super attack. You can pull several more but the ones shown in the trailers are inherent to the character. Also, as you said that this game seems a lot darker, please rewatch the first trailer and look at the fucking content warning. Edit: Another thing worth mentioning, what also sets it apart is that you actually start off with all of the available characters and the Gacha pulls are all variants based on alternative timelines.

The plot would have roughly 80% less conflict if they left her dead for most of it. 4 Ryoshu: Rarely talks and when she does it's to make dumb wordplays. Extremely volatile and prone to kill you at the drop of a hat. 5 Meursault: Rarely talks. Probably hates the sun. -Nanomachines, son- 6 Hong Lu: Affable dude with affluence-induced empathy deficit. As in, he literally cannot conceive the plights of anybody less wealthy than him. 7 Heathcliff: WYSIWYG. Hates the rich and tries to solve all his problems with violence. -Has a drug problem- 8 Ishmael: Compulsively normal. Gets extremely annoyed at the others' antics. -Is prone to teamkilling- 9 Rodion: The most empathetic yet materialistic of the group. I recommend you look up a video or two that shows all the games EGO attacks, basically ultimate moves with small cutscenes. That's what the combat in this trailer was, their default/beginner EGO.
I'm a day 1 player and they already listened to player a lot, so I see a bright future. For example we complained there is no way to farm pulling resources, so they added it after clear of Mirror dungeons ( 3x, weekly reward), dailies took too long so they make them faster to do ( more exp to daily pass and less missions), mirror dungeons you needed to do were 5 for max rewards, now it's only 3 and sum up rewards are the same. It has soft pity 50 pulls but it's always 50/50, there is no hard pity in pulls but after pulls and crates with shards after mirror dungeons ( and as rewards from battle pass/ other missions) you should be able to craft identity/ego you want eventually. Game has seasons and u can craft any identity/ego that is in exact season. If none interested you 50% shards come to next season. The best part is that you don't need dupes, you can just farm threads to uptie tiers for everyone. Design of characters are sick, but PM is known of this part, ost is great as well I can recommend ost from 3-22 boss phase 1 and 2 ( some ppl has PTS from this boss fight xD) So far I can say, game is rly f2p friendly, I beat 3-22 with just 1*0 identities ( tho I had 1 cool EGO for Meurasault) And ye Ryoshu and Faust best characters, it's nice you like Ryoshu a lot as well, you should see her 3*000 identity, it's badass as hell :D AND REMEMBER, FAUST IS BEST GRIPS WAIFU, THE ONE WHO GRIPS (latest released Identity, worth to check :3)xD
The character's are also from literary works and there's a video about it made by Last Minute Essays that gives more insight on who and what these characters are, I hope you react to that one too!
As an arknights player since launch that tried (and really got into) Limbus Company, I have something to say about Limbus in case you want to play it. Most of chapter 1 gameplay-wise is bad, barely teaches you how to play and you could just "swipe left to right" until the last level of chapter 1 (will make sense once you see the gameplay) though the story and character interactions are very nice. The game picks up later on, becoming incredibly fun and much more difficult (though never unfair, you could win the game with the Base characters and 0 gacha perfectly). Also, and this is not talked about too much but is important to know, it suffers from memory leaks, so after about two hours you should restart the game and it will be just fine once again. Shouldn't take more than a minute anyways so it isn't really a problem That's about it, if anything I'd add that if you want to play, you should start soon to gacha in the current banner, neet Faust is funny.
As a long time PM fan I agree, it doesn’t give a great first impression (combat wise and I guess a little story wise as it can be boring to some). After and during 1-11 though most of those problems are fixed and is where the actual game starts in my opinion

Each of the games take place in the same universe and often include references to real life culture, religion psychology, literature, etc.

I would recommend any of the Project Moon game anytime to people and im sure the community Will welcome you also we dont talk about love town. What you seen for the caracther trailer the E.G.O. attack are mostly a big attack on a enemy or group of people and that is not their weapon they mainly use and yes that is a part of the gameplay but if you want to be sure go see the other gameplay trailer it will explain/show they do also explain their battle pass where it a preaty good one and easy to complete. As for simping a good part of the community are for Faust and recently they release her 3* for me it Ryoshu becaused of a certain cut-scene in chapter 2.
What you saw were kinda lvl 1 ults, to keep it simple. 5 levels in total and you will be able to have 5 of them equipped at the same time (4,5 are not present in game yet). Most characters don't use these weapons you saw. Learning combat is not going to be easy. So try it out and enjoy the story, it's an experience.

Oh the gameplay........... You MUST Play Tutorial, take it seriously. All Teaching and Experience you had from previous Gacha game or single game won't work here and everyone had fall victim on their own confusion.

What you seen for the caracther trailer the E.G.O. attack are mostly a big attack on a enemy or group of people and that is not their weapon they mainly use and yes that is a part of the gameplay but if you want to be sure go see the other gameplay trailer it will explain/show they do also explain their battle pass where it a preaty good one and easy to complete.
As for simping a good part of the community are for Faust and recently they release her 3* for me it Ryoshu becaused of a certain cut-scene in chapter 2.

What you saw were kinda lvl 1 ults, to keep it simple. 5 levels in total and you will be able to have 5 of them equipped at the same time (4,5 are not present in game yet). Most characters don't use these weapons you saw. Learning combat is not going to be easy. So try it out and enjoy the story, it's an experience.
