Thanks for keeping the BB King legacy Alive. PS Got to meet the king over 30 times. and seen him in concert over 70 times. Etc. Changed my life forever and made me who I am today. Cheers! Sunny
I got to see BB king at a car show in Atlanta back in the 80's. I was only 16 or 17 years old at the time. He sat in a chair on stage most of the time. My mom's friend' and I started dancing. He saw us having fun. He started laughing at us and cutting up with us. That was a lot of fun. I really enjoyed this video Jordan. I'm so glad to hear these stories about him. There was a lot of things I didn't know about him. RIP BB King.
I met Mr King years ago and sat next to him on his tour bus as he was watching a Mike Tyson fight on the TV. It was pretty special as he signed a Lucile guitar my friend brought with him to the concert.
One of my absolute favorite concerts was seeing both B.B. King and Albert King at the Fox Theater in St. Louis in the early 1990s. It was an amazing show I will never forget.
Good Vlog Jordan I Saw Him In Concert In Springfield Massachusetts In The Early 90s I have some of his CDS And I DvD BB was also on Sanford And Son Season 6 Fred Sings The Blues My Favorite BB King Songs are How Blue Can You Get Lucille
🦁 I am a HUGE Blues Music 🎶 Lover and BB King was the first Blues artist that got me into loving Blues music. I hear Blues music and I don’t care where I am at I will start swaying and dancing. No doubt that I am going to have to do this trip and pay my respects to the man of Blues…BB King 👑 💕🙏. Great Vlog! Safe Travels
Thank you for this history on B.B. King I was born and raised in Las Vegas and BB King lived across the street from us in Las Vegas what a great guy and a good family nice people
B B King is more than a legend he will live on forever, there will never be another, the father of modern blues and he loved Rock and role, Rock on BB. RIP 🙏

Hi Jordan, love the GLASSES! What a brilliant bench with the statue at the Museum. Nice to see where he is buried. Glad that his handprints and footprints have survived where they are. Great vlog Jordan.
I lived near there. I moved to the Delta to work at my dad's TV station, it was a culture shock from Houston Texas. I'll call someone I know to repair the sign. 😁
@@DazewithJordantheLion Either that, or farm equipment clipped it. I need to get my Jerry Lee Lewis album signed. He lives 3 min from me. He used to hang out at a casino I worked at (gave up television, divorced a doctor, married apit boss then became one myself 😆). Thanks for inspiring me to get out and see stuff like the Crystal Grotto!
Nice vlog as usual, BB was my introduction to the blues and continues to be among my favourites. Great musician, had come rain or shine with Eric Clapton as my wedding dance.
In the 80's BB played at Toad's place in New Haven,Ct. a bunch of us went to the show and when it was over we got to go on stage and mingle about talking with him and his band .i believe i was still in high school. 🎸
So cool to see my favorite vlogger in my hometown! I love how you and Adam the Woo get out there and really dig into the cool history of America. No matter how big or small the town, how dusty or long the back road, your commitment to tell the story is always appreciated. BB always had a June homecoming concert that I attended many times throughout my youth and teenage years. It’s amazing how when such an icon grew up in and existed in your backyard you don’t grasp the magnitude of his influence and worldwide popularity or how far it reached. Thank you for sharing our community with the world.
Thank You sooooo much…I was hoping you would make this video. I love Mr. King and hope I too can make the journey to visit his grave and pay my respects. Thanks again…Love and Light!!
I got to see him in concert twice and I got to shake his hand…I would’ve paid the price of the ticket just to hear him play and sing one song…sooo much talent.
I saw him one last time not long before he passed at the Perot Theater in Texarkana Texas. One of my best friends has seen him 18 times in concert. He said back in the day he would do 3 hour shows.

Hey Jordan I recently found out I have stage 4 esophageal cancer that spread to my bones. I also have cerebral palsy. So it's been a tough few months. However, I'm doing well and I'm going to beat this thing. Your vlogs have always lifted my spirits. You are always awesome to watch. So fun and positive. I just wanted to say thanks!
@@DazewithJordantheLion I believe in miracles and prayer. The chemo has been working great. I already feel 100 times better than I did. I also have a lot of people praying for me. My family has really been great coming and helping out. If only 1 good thing comes out of this mess it's knowing how many people care about me and love me. It's been overwhelming in a good way!
Jordan, good thing you had dry weather, the roads in the Mississippi Delta can get tough to drive in when wet, sometimes they flood. In Greenville, there is a 80 year-old eatery called, "Doe's Eat Place". I did a paper on it when I as at Ole Miss, but have not been there yet. In the '80s Arkansas Gov. Bill Clinton used to frequent the place. Very unique, old school dining. They didn't even clean the ovens because the flavor for the steaks are built in there, at least at the time I wrote the paper. Possibly worth a Vlog next time you are in the Miss Delta.
I love a dirt road,I walked many of them growing up in Ga.but there’s not many of them left anymore but we still have a few of them around lol,but yeah I love them and also that’s how I learned to drive is on a dirt road we would just get in the car with our mom on sundays and just ride to see where they went,we would dig up wild flowers and bring them home to plant sometime they were dead ends and we would turn around and go back where we came from,it was so much fun…I miss those days on them dirt roads.🥰😝😘😁
What a true artist. Like you said, I never heard a negative thing said about him. So much love for him. So many wonderful places to see and pay your respects and learn about him. A great video Jordan. Thank you. Blessings - Judith 🎭🎵
Another brilliant Vlog. Whoever designed the gravesite really knew what they were about. It was stylish, dignified and unique - Just like BB. Many Thanks Jordan.
Really enjoyed watching this video. I am from Louisiana but my fathers side of the family are all from Indianola and have visited there as a kid. My grandparents are also buried in Indianola. My grandmother owned the flower shop in Indianola way back in the day, and I remember her telling me she knew B.B. and when he was in town and needed flowers he would go to her. Thanks Jordan!
You’re doing a fine job on the Blues Trail. If you can please highlight Muddy Waters and John Lee Hooker since they all came out of the Mississippi Delta which is the birthplace of rock n roll
Back in the day I had a jazz studies class and I had to attend 2 concerts. One of them was B.B. King (Not jazz but he let it slide lol). He was just incredible. I'll never forget it. The other was Chick Corea. It's really a shame people would take advantage of such a good man like B.B. King.
What a wonderful story of BBKing ,Jordan this was so interesting. Cycling 50miles for work is dedication , his determination is what made him who he was . He was a and always will be a legend to music 🎶 .RIP ⚘️
Fantastic Vlog! Thank you for showing us. Even though you weren't allowed to film most of the BB King Museum it was great to see his grave and the areas he lived. Artists like BB King Muddy Waters and Johnny Cash were very popular with us kids starting in the late 60's throughout their careers!!
Thanks for this video Jordan. B.B was an absolute legend. I could listen to him for hours & as you said he could win a blues battle by playing just one note. The look on his face as the blues took over his body when he was playing. Sorely missed
loved the video JORDAN this great to see were BB King started his career and even though we didn't see the inside of the museum it was good of you to tell us what was inside and you did a great job. We also seen our lovable pup JAH awesome to him and the sunglasses were incredible.
Have seen him twice with my parents in the late 70’s. The King of the Blues!! Are you going to other blues artist’s homes and graves? Bobby Blue Bland would be a great bookend to BB King.
So many entertainers started out with their music at church. We should make a list. The Beatles were at the church yard. BB,Elvis,David Cassidy so many more.
Saw a young lady probably 22 ish bring flowers and laid them down on the stage in front of BB- he immediately started bawling-the girl turned around, he called her back and gave her the ring he was wearing. It was awesome to watch.
I've been getting into B.B. King lately but I've got to admit that I always liked Albert King better over the years. Albert's sound to me was always a bit harder edged, more hard rock like if you will. It would be interesting to see a vlog on Albert, although I really do appreciate this one on B.B., It is weird that such a humble guy has such an ostentatious resting place. Still he was definitely one of the greatest ever.
You know I can relate as far as not putting BB King at the top of your list I mean I would probably rather go see Elmore James over BB King any day but then again that's why they call it personal taste I guess
I did a little checking and sad to say that the reason B.B. Kings Blue sighn was down is because of souvenir hunters, the Lady I talked to said it will be replace with a better post. It is sad that people have so little respect for others wishing to visit historic places.

I saw him play at an outdoor theatre in Georgia. It was really laid back & a good time. The weather was perfect that day.
In the late 90s, I was driving to Las Vegas and saw his tour bus coming from there on the highway.

I think that corner was the best part. Where it all began and seeing his hands and feet prints still there. Very cool!
I felt the same way. Seeing that corner sent chills up my spine.. I could almost see it for a moment with people passing by, watching..
@@DazewithJordantheLion Exactly! I hope they never change that corner and preserve his prints.
