@@pauleberhardt Thank you for this. It was this video that introduced me to the Brian Jonestown Massacre while I was on mushrooms talking to birds in my room back in 2016. Thank you again!
Ahhhhhhhhh! Music that is refreshing as the sound of a can of Rheingheist Truth IPA being opened up, and I teleport back to the mid 1960's, where I am sitting in with Pete Townsend, session guitarist Jimmy Page, Clapton and Beck from Yardbirds, and of course Brian Jones!
This was my first exposure to the bjm stumped across the original video and the rest is history would non stop listen to the whole discography. Bought every record truly one of the most prolific 90s bands. Truly underrated you see how much antons musical genius changes from 1992-96.
He wasn't underrated, he was just such a dickhead in concert and pushed many fans away. Great music but he is too full of himself. Still love his music but I hated him in concert. All the fighting gets old and he is too headstrong. He has always been his own enemy. Great talent without a doubt but I guess musical genius tend to be overbearing.
@@midobecker9251 Yeah. I was a collage station dj thruout t 90s and 60s influenced stoner gtr rock like this is my sweet spot. I played t hell out of Bevis Frond, Ride, and Plan 9. But I never played t Replacements after attending a show where all they did was drunkenly fight w t audience, and I never played BMJ as all I knew of them was that they pulled similar stunts. It wasn't untill I saw Digg that I rediscovered them and even know that they are so much in my sweet spot.
@@paulbabcock2428 The mosh pit at BJM ruined a lot of live shows, always lots of dudes and the teeth getting knocked out and the dislocated shoulders and bloody noses were so nonsensical over-the-top stupid. Bouncers jumping into the fray, throwing people out. I think the band is deserves an apologies ((:-( ....a special thanks to the complier, this playlist went missing for a bunch of years, and here it is, again!
theres gorillaz earlier work and damon albarn the singer of that band was also in blur his older band but that be around what your asking for. anton newcombe actually drew alot of inspiration from him including oasis and the beatles but antone knew just how to tap in to the right vibe for sure
@@shed.3881 yeah, i remember buying the first gorillaz CD on a beach before it was released... damon is awesome, sure. i recently listened to some charles manson stuff- i know... but... damn, i liked it

Who is the guy in upper right photo?
I believe that is from the movie "Sky High" where the character says "Looks like I picked the wrong week to give up sniffing glue"
Is the guy from Airplane, the ATC guy. And yes, he did pick the wrong week to stop sniffing glue.
gr 8 band
