I dont understand how chevy still cannot make an oil pressure sending unit worth a damn, seen it constantly since I started in the early 90's and they still constantly leak/fail. Soooo many 2.8/4.3 blazers and s-10s that I have had to replace that sensor for panicked customer that thought there truck had blown up in the driveway, cause gauge said no oil pressure as a river of oil ran down the motor all over there driveway. Seriously though, maybe I'm wrong but why do chevys sensors seem to fail more often.
4 роки тому+1
So many of them lmao, they're not super bad to change, i think some of their problems has to do with people just...neglecting oil changes or using crap oil ect ect. The 4.3s were garbage to do (just so tight i'm not a small man) the newer 5.3s and stuff was pretty nice and easy. But common
Engine designers/crafters have often told me that an electrical temperature gauge on any given lubricant or cooling mixture is not much more than an idiot light with a sending unit. I am in search of NLGI 000 grade grease of some sort to use on 20+ year old Suntour gears on a 30 year old Nishiki bicycle that I got for $30 to compete with other endurance athletes. And yeah the manufactures say the application of 000 grade is for weak transfer cases and open chains and gears that don't get that hot and don't spin that fast (like a bicycle !).
From the looks of that "Sweat", Id say it's the least of his problems.
Chryslers usually send the oil out the connector
I was just going to say "It's gotta be a Chrysler".
It's Chevy
@@JoesAutoElectric That's a shame. I love Chevrolet!
Well, there's your problem, lady!
Worst design of a sending unit ever. Must be for a dummy light lol
You need to turn down the oil pressure! LMAO!
I had the same exact thing happen a few years back on my 2003 Pontiac Grand Am.

Looks like some nice dark worn out oil
Operates as designed... Ship it!!
If it bleeds, we can kill it.

Oh my, leaking monitor.
I have seen the sender sweating before. 😂
Man that made me laugh..... I hate those idiot light senders but have seen the canister style do the same thing from bottom.
It's just a little seepage.
I recently had that happen on a aircraft hydraulic switch
If you drill a hole in the oil pan that will fix right up.
That I have seen many times with weird brands of aftermarket ones .
O ya sorry need new glass
Oh my goodness.
You found the leak
Is that the oil pressure switch
WTF?
What was that either I didn't see something or just don't get it???
