Thanks for watching! We've been down since January 2nd and plan on staying into April. We haven't had any issues but we always recommend using standard travel safety techniques. For us it's.......don't be flashy, don't drive at night, don't anger the locals, and enjoy! Bad things can happen anywhere but we feel safer down here than we do in a lot of U.S. cities.

I can never get used to all the beaches you guys drive on. On the mid-atlantic beaches I know you just can't do that without 4 wheel drive.
