What's most fascinating about this song is that it's the same chord progression for the entire ten minutes, but it never gets boring in the slightest. These guys really are masterful musicians.
1st King Gizzard song I’ve ever heard. And I’m digging on it! It’s both both beautiful and very fucked up! I feel as emotionally unstable as a teenager now.
This song is so interesting to me. It's like someone singing a song in karaoke at a diner in the 1950's to their girlfriend. It has such a unique vibe to it. This is why I love Gizz because they aren't afraid to just do completely out of left field sounds like this.
@@zoinks7014 I feel ya. I love the microtonal stuff but they definitely have worn it out with KG and LW. Omnium at least has some cool shit on it like Candles and Ambergris.
@@zoinks7014 yeah i kinda agree lol all their new material leans way too hard on gimmicks I just wish they'd make a chill tuneful album like this again
After these past couple weeks diving into their discography, I have just now heard their most beautiful song. I really really REALLY dug the River and had that on repeat but I had no clue a song like this was on the same album oh my goodness. Still can't get over this. Can't wait to have this one repeat for years to come
Nathaniel Mathias Major well I grew up with Johnny and Santo playing in my house and this track brings sleepwalk to mind. No it's not the same just reminiscent for me at least.

It's like Dyer Maker By Led Zeppelin, the only thing that sounds like that song is the guitar part practically only at the beginning and theres still different notes being used from one another.
when i go to gigs in my nearest city and i don’t have a ride home i always take the last bus to the suburbs that substitutes the train and it stops at every station so it takes me more than an hour to get home.... i always listen to this song through all the journey. This is like a South African Zulu music genre called Maskandi especially the high notes and squeaky voices and guitar note progressions but like slowed down and distorted
This is cool bizarre, check it out.... I just discovered this band (well, my husband did) and I'm totally loving this song. I'm saying to my husband "It sounds like Led Zed 'Dyer Maker'" and scrolling down comments to see how many agree, then right as I got to YOUR comment, my husband said, "And Santos and Johnny" -- Total synchronicity!!
There's simarilties but more differences. Such as notes, tempo, and rhythm as well. Either way it's impossible these days to come up with something that hasn't been done, music has been going on for quite some time. This generations been pretty much left with leftovers unfortunately.
I know this has no relevancy to absolutely anybody else, but I must save this bizarre event. I just randomized my entire music library, which contains thousands of songs, and got D'yer Mak'er, after that was done, it shuffled to God is In the Rhythm, and I was thinking this thought exactly.
