I was always super intrigued by the Crystar figures but never ended up picking any up as a kid. I'd see the 1-page ads often in comics from the '80's (and all the more often from rereading those same comics over and over), and I remember feeling how the idea of crystal and magma warriors was at once super cool and super spooky. I also liked the idea that there were only like 6-8 (?) figures that ever existed (at least from that ad I kept seeing), so that it would have been possible to "easily" collect them all, should my 10-year-old self "decide" to go out and start doing so with "my own" hard-earned cash at the time.
Amazing. I always called him CRY-STAR, but apparently its actually pronounced KRISTAR.
He'll always be Cry-star to me as well. :D

I found your channel about a year ago through the history of transformers because I am a younger fan of transformers and gi joe and I've always loved the 80's and your genuine love for the transformers gi joe and the 80's made me fall in love with this channel
