The fern garden at the temple was beautiful in fact not just the gardens the whole place was really something special! Spectacular even, all the carvings ceilings, incredible craftsmanship. You did a very good job of capturing it Chuck 👍
What I loved about that temple more than anything is it just looked so natural and unforced in harmony with nature, but still has some of the flamboyant Thai style too in some of the other statues there. Very clever - wonderful place.
Your right in what you said about it being difficult to get bored of them there's just so many truly unique temples over there hardly any are exactly the same. I never get bored of seeing them.

The amazing naturally sculptured aged trees were amazing... maybe a symbolic depiction of life to demonstrate that as we have experienced the struggles and challenges of life’s journey we evolve to a statuesque pillar, experienced, refined, and to use your words... polished!!! Great to hear this about the new speed limit regulation. I hope they also improve the condition of the left lane. Around Phitsanulok, the left lane is a a series of repair patches. So when you drive there at 90 km/h every car even with a good supsension becomes a bone shaker. Naturally everyone drives on the right lane and we have to overtake the slow ones on the left lane. Let's see how this develops next time I'm around.

HEY CHUCK AND PAIGE, WHAT A BEAUTIFUL HOTEL YOU STAYED IN. THE INTERIOR WAS STUNNING. THAT BUFFETT WAS ONE OF THE BETTER ONES THAT I'VE SEEN. I HAVE BEEN TO VILLA MARKET AND I WASN'T THAT IMPRESSED. I GUESS I SHOULDN'T TRY TO COMPARE IT TO WHAT WE HAVE IN THE U.S. LOL.
THAT TEMPLE ON THE OTHER HAND WAS A TOTAL SURPRISE. I DON'T KNOW IF I HAVE EVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE THAT. WAT THAM PHA DAEN, I WILL HAVE TO MAKE AN EFFORT TO GO THERE NEXT TIME I COME UP YOUR WAY. I WAS SURPRISED IT WAS THAT CLOSE TO WHERE YOU LIVE. THE TREE TRUNKS LOOK SO GNARLY, ARE THEY A CERTAIN TYPE OF TREE THAT GROW THAT WAY OR ARE THEY DIFFERENT TYPE OF TREES? NO MATTER WHAT, THEY WERE BEAUTIFUL. IT WILL BE A GREAT ADVENTURE FOR THE FUTURE.

That temple was AMAZING 🤩 I added it to my must see list (I think you are responsible for at least half of my list), it’s always funny seeing Spanish moss in non indigenous places, I’m constantly cleaning it out of my trees and here it’s loaded with red bugs. Wife just watched some Thai government videos looking into the possibility of doing the 2 week quarantine at a designated golf resort, where you could roam the grounds at times and play golf, during the quarantine. They are trying to get tourists to come back, and this sounds more appealing than 14 days in the same room In Bangkok. Things are insanely crazy right now over here. Both you and Paige stay safe with the current flare of COVID.

Beautiful trunks of wood all carefully polished and preserved then the drill into them to mount a fire extinguisher!! Just buy a fire point stand or put them one the ground!...

Things here in Las Vegas are very nuts! Two days ago we were number one in the country for highest positivity rate for covid-19 in Clark County. Yesterday the Nevada Democratic Party put out an email that the police here will not be able to provide protection from possible rioting from neo-nazis and white supremacists hate groups. Not enough manpower or equipment. So today I spent cleaning and loading my guns and locking down my home the best I can. The FBI says they have reliable information about armed demonstration in 50 state capitals. Really wish I was back in Patong. Sorry not trying to be negative Chuck just sharing what it feels like right now here. Hope all this blows over just not ready to be a victim. Since the mass shooting at Mandalay Bay saying it won't happen here is no longer really true. Lost friends then, lost friends and co-workers from covid-19. NOT going to allow any of the few friends left to be victims of trumpism or fascist. My Jewish father is passed yet I know he would expect me to stand up for my friends of color so that will happen.
