First, I wanted to thank you for bringing this to our attention. I was able to get this pass! However, I also wanted to let you know the links in the description are no longer valid.

I got my National Park Access Pass a few years ago, and all I had to do was show my pump. Easy peasy! Thank you for all your amazing videos, Danica! As a Type 1 diabetic of 41 years, I LOVE watching them!!!

Danica; this is the best news I’m likely to get about diabetes! In my T1D journey you were there when I was first diagnosed and inspired me to explore a pump, so from then to now (20+ years later) you’ve been about the best source for me on how to live with this. Thanks for all those years of helps and encouragement. We actually got to talk on the phone when you were doing an internship and were providing tech support.

As someone with T1D its definitely a disability! Doesn't mean it controls us though! Really excited to get my access pass now :)

Thank you very much for this information and the helpful links! I wish I had known about this before this past summer family vacation to Badlands National Park. That and Rocky Mountain National Park are the two I have the most experience with.

Oh Wow! Definitely trying for this. Thanks for the sharing this info! I have visited several National park and recreation lands. Will be nice to enjoy without entrance fees! Have been to Big Bend (several times really enjoy that one), Grand Canyon both rims, Zion, the Petrified Forest/Painted Desert, the Rocky Mountains, Smokey Mountains, Red Rock Canyon, King’s Mountain, Yorktown, Historic Jamestown, Fredericksburg, Manasass, Vicksburg, Minuteman Park, & a few National forests . These passes are also good for National Forests, battlefields, some lakes, and certain historic sites. Would really like to see Sequoia, Yosemite, and Yellowstone someday. Must revisit Grand Canyon & Big Bend again once I get my access pass.😃

Ampers, looked a bit like a carnivorous wolfy animal doing the wild thing in his heart; I was in fear.

Hello Danica ! Signed up for and received this pass earlier this month just in time for a trip down south to Joshua Tree, CA. It was a great time to visit this area as even Palm Springs was a nice 73 degress F. I am super glad I did not attempt to do it there at the destination for an aggregate of reasons, including embarrassing my teenage daughter LOL and it was very crowded. There was a relatively local USACE location near my home that issues passes like this, which I took advantage of. I was wondering in retrospect though is this pass actually allowed parking in the disabled parking spots given it's appearance. I am not the type to want to park in a disabled spot (yet) as I am still under 50 yrs old, but just wondering. Kicking myself for not signing up sooner because, like you; I had ironically purchased a regular pass in the past for these very locations. I had a letter from the DOR in CA circa 2005 which they did not question or even really take much of a look at TBH. I wish you luck on your journey and with everything else. I will be watching more of your videos for sure. Really glad I have this pass now !

I don't feel disabled, but I will take a free pass. Is there a way to get out of paying income taxes that you know of.

In Germany there is a general disablility system, where you are graded on a scale of 0-100, if you are 50 or above you get a disability pass, which often gets you free (or at least cheaper) access to museums and other stuff. With one of those I was able to also get cheaper entrance to Castelo de São Jorge in Lisbon, Portugal, as they accepted that pass. As for the grading, diabetes may get you just up to 50, which i managed to get. I had to submit half a years worth of bloodsugar data. So I am curious: Would such a german disability pass help me get one of your national park passes? are they even for foreigners? And not to forget: My favorite national park would be the "Wattenmeer".

Hi Danica my name is Craig I watched your videos several years ago and just recently found them. I was curious to find out what you think of Admelog insulin meal time I was considering going back on mealtime insulin and trying that I believe it has replaced a Apidra but I’m not positive have you tried it

Do you think this would work with T2? I take insulin once a day, before bed, and I have a CGM. Just wondering.

I mailed my paperwork in with a letter from doctor. I was denied. I plan on calling next week to see why. The letter just said i was type 1 diabetic, maybe it needs more to explain what type 1 is? Typical government workers, oh wait, I am a government worker.😂
